"You look terrible," said Kerhnir.

"It was all your fault," I said, changing his facial expression.

"Calm down, Drinihian! I know I could have improved the project, but I will do my best so that failures don't happen."

"It's all right! I'm just kidding. You and your mining drones have not failed. They did what they were supposed to do. The mistakes came from our carelessness," I said, trying not to make him nervous.

"Thanks for your understanding, but there were things I could have predicted and I didn't. Perhaps…"

"It already happened, Kerhnir. You can improve the project, but don't be sorry. Use what happened to make a better model."

He looked at the prosthesis that had been implanted a few days ago.

When I was about to answer, Nakkinne appeared.

He never told me, but I knew he felt something more for Nakkinne, but she never paid any attention to him.

She pretended she didn't see Kerhnir.

"And where will you go?" asked Nakkinne.

I only had my father's residence. It would be the best option since he spent all his time away, but I didn't want to go there.

"No! It wouldn't be suitable! If you have nowhere to stay, you can stay at my residence. I'm going to take a few days off and you can stay there. With that, I can help you with the adaptation of your new prosthesis," said Nakkinne.

Kerhnir looked at us with a look of surprise. He knew she liked me, but he never thought that one day I would be with her since I dated Micahilla.

After I was released, I left with Nakkinne for her residence, but unable to get Micahilla out of my head.

"Make yourself comfortable! This will be your room," said Nakkinne, leading me into a movable chair.

I wanted to adapt to the new leg as soon as possible and not be dependent on anyone. She accommodated me in the room and went out to prepare something to feed us. After a while, she took me out to eat. Nakkinne had eaten a meal that seemed to be tasty. We ate and soon after I asked to go back to the room.

"Whatever you need is just to call me," said Nakkinne, leaving me in the room and leaving shortly afterward.

The situation with her was the opportunity to get Micahilla out of my head. Nakkinne entered the room.

"May I ?," she asked, sitting on the bed.

I nodded saying yes. Nakkinne came even closer to me and lay down beside me. Soon after she laid her head on my chest.

"Your heart is racing! Are you nervous about something?" asked Nakkinne.

She was in simple clothes and I was getting horny. It would be my first sexual experience if she progressed in that situation.

"You don't have to ask for forgiveness. If you still feel something for her, go and say it. As much as she no longer feels the same way about you, don't keep that feeling. Free yourself!"

I didn't know what to say. It must have been painful for her to say that to me. I was being very cruel to her, but I couldn't hide my feelings, letting things happen and hurt her later.

"Can I sleep here with you? I just don't want to sleep alone," Nakkinne asked, afraid.

I took her hand and laid it on my chest. After a while, she fell asleep hugging me. I still stayed awake for a while thinking about this situation, about my career, and Micahilla.

I woke up and Nakkinne was gone, but soon she appeared.

"The morning meal is already prepared. Get up and come."

"Ok! In a little while, I'm going."

She left and I took my communicator. I wanted to get in touch by video call with Micahilla, but I just sent a simple message, asking to meet her at Flower Square. I took a bath and went to enjoy the morning meal that Nakkinne had prepared with great affection.

"Nakki, I'm not in a position to ask you for anything, but would you do me a favor?" I said, hoping she wouldn't be upset with what I would ask.
