Later on, Jolie was engaged in conversation with Cedric, unknowingly being eavesdropped on by Aviana and Albert.
Jolie's voice rang out with excitement. "Oh yeah, Bae, where are we going to have our first date again?"
Cedric's response piqued Aviana and Albert's interest, fueling their determination to sabotage the upcoming date.
"Oh, at the park," Cedric answered, a touch of anticipation in his voice. "Don't be late, okay?"
Aviana and Albert exchanged knowing glances, their plan forming silently between them. They were determined to disrupt Jolie and Cedric's first date, their own hidden desires blurring the line between friendship and longing.
As the night deepened, the world around them gradually transformed. Everyone eventually found themselves back home, seeking solace within the familiarity of their own walls. Albert and Aviana had agreed to rendezvous at the 7-Eleven after reaching their respective homes. Albert's return, however, brought an unexpected encounter with his sister, Ms. Lucy, who awaited him at the doorstep.
"Hey sister, what are you doing there?" Albert questioned, a hint of surprise coloring his words.
Ms. Lucy, feigning nonchalance, replied with a playful tone. "Ummm... what else, waiting for you, duh."
Apologizing for his tardiness, Albert attempted to brush off the situation, unaware of the storm brewing within his sister's heart. But before he could fully comprehend the situation, Ms. Lucy swiftly pinched his ear, causing him to yelp in pain.
"Ow ow ow ow!!! LET GO, YOU PSYCHO!" Albert exclaimed, desperately trying to escape his sister's grip.
Ms. Lucy's voice seethed with anger. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!"
The pain intensified as Ms. Lucy tightened her grip, demanding an apology. "OW OW OW!!! ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, I'M SORRY I'M LATE," Albert relented, the words tumbling out in a rush.
Finally releasing her grip, Ms. Lucy questioned Albert's well-being with genuine concern. "Are you alright?"
Albert, still reeling from the encounter, lashed out with a hint of bitterness. "Let me pinch your ear and then I'll ask you if you're alright."
Ms. Lucy, undeterred by his defensive response, lowered her voice and revealed a deeper understanding. "What I mean is your situation with Jolie. I know your situation. Trust me, I've been there."
Caught off guard, Albert quickly resorted to deception. "What situation are you talking about? There is no situation."
Ms. Lucy sighed, her eyes filled with a mixture of sympathy and worry. "Your call. Just don't do something stupid, okay?"
A brief pause hung in the air as Albert grappled with conflicting emotions. He was torn between sabotaging Jolie and Cedric's relationship, driven by his own hidden desires, and heeding his sister's advice. In a tender gesture, Ms. Lucy gently patted his head, silently urging him to make the right choice.
"Can you do that for me?" she asked, her voice filled with hope.
Albert exhaled slowly, realizing the weight of his actions. "Okay, alright, I won't do anything stupid."
"Okay," Ms. Lucy replied, her expression softening as they entered the house together. Albert, desperately attempting to change the subject, broke the silence. "So anyway, what's for dinner?"
Ms. Lucy, sensing that something peculiar was afoot, decided not to dwell on it for the moment. The two siblings shared a meal, their conversation cautiously avoiding the fragile topic that loomed between them. As Albert washed the dishes, a message blinked on his phone screen, catching his attention. It was from Aviana.
"Hey, haircut, I'm waiting at the 7-Eleven. Where are you, stupid?" the message read.
Albert hastily typed a reply, his mind already preoccupied with the night's clandestine meeting. "Ok, on the way."
With a sense of urgency, Albert rushed to finish washing the dishes, his mind swirling with conflicting thoughts. As he prepared to leave, Ms. Lucy intercepted him, her curiosity piqued.
"Hey, where are you going?" she inquired, her voice laced with concern.
Albert, caught off guard, quickly conjured a false explanation. "Oh, just meeting someone."
Ms. Lucy persisted, her eyes searching for the truth. "Who?"
Again, Albert resorted to deception. "Keanu."
Ms. Lucy's brows furrowed, her protective instincts kicking in. "It's 9 o'clock. You can't go outside."
Feeling the pressure mounting, Albert made a hasty exit, bidding his sister farewell with a fleeting goodbye. As he stepped out into the night, uncertainty filled the air, leaving Ms. Lucy to wonder about the secrets her brother kept hidden and the consequences they might bring. Ms. Lucy couldn't shake off her concern as she watched Albert depart, his unusual behavior stirring a mix of worry and confusion within her. Alone in the house, she couldn't help but mull over the oddities of the evening, contemplating the secrets her brother held close.
Meanwhile, Albert made his way to the 7-Eleven, his steps quick and purposeful. As he approached the convenience store, he spotted Aviana outside, a cigarette between her fingers. He couldn't help but shake his head disapprovingly.
"Ah, smoking again," Albert muttered under his breath, a hint of exasperation tainting his voice.
Aviana caught sight of Albert's arrival and wasted no time in voicing her annoyance. "You're late, doofus."
Albert offered a half-hearted apology, aware of his delayed arrival. "I know, I know, I'm sorry about that. I just had to finish something."
Eager to discuss their plans, Aviana cut to the chase. "So, what's the plan?"
Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Albert summarized what they had overheard. "From what we heard, their date is tomorrow, in a park."
Aviana leaned in, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "How do we sabotage them?"
Drawing on her past experiences with Cedric, Aviana shared her insights.
Albert nodded, taking mental notes. "Okay, noted. What else?"
The two huddled together, meticulously plotting their scheme to disrupt Jolie and Cedric's relationship. Ideas flowed freely, weaving a tapestry of mischief and manipulation.
"Okay, that's it, I guess," Aviana concluded, satisfied with their plan.
Albert rose from his seat, ready to set their plan in motion. Aviana lingered behind, lighting up another cigarette.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll just stay here for a while," Aviana remarked, her voice tinged with nonchalance.
Curiosity piqued, Albert posed a question. "Oh yeah, why can't we just call each other or something if we're going to plan?"
Aviana's response carried a tinge of frustration. "No can do, princess. My father hates it when I'm on a call with someone he doesn't know."
Albert couldn't help but express his incredulity. "That seems unreasonable."
Aviana sighed, a hint of sadness flickering in her eyes. "Trust me, after all the incidents with my ex and Cedric, of course my da— I mean, my father would become stricter than before."
His sarcasm seeping through, Albert retorted, "He's not okay with you being on a call with someone, but he's okay with you staying out here alone and smoking."
Aviana dismissed his concern, waving him away. "Why do you care so much, potato head? Go on, shoo, go home."
Undeterred by her dismissal, Albert couldn't resist one final jab. "Okay, well at least a demon wouldn't mess with you because you already got the horns and the smoke."
Aviana, clearly unamused, launched her slippers at Albert, a playful yet annoyed gesture that signaled the end of their banter.
Albert, rising early, embarked on his morning routine. He took a refreshing bath, carefully chose his attire, and grabbed his phone before making his way towards the exit. But just as he was about to step out, Ms. Lucy appeared in the doorway, blocking his path.
"Where are you going?" Ms. Lucy inquired, her voice filled with genuine concern.
Albert, accustomed to weaving a web of falsehoods, replied nonchalantly, "Nowhere, just... the park."
Ms. Lucy's curiosity persisted. "With who?"
Once again, Albert resorted to deception. "Keanu."
Ms. Lucy, ever the caring sister, offered a parting remark. "Okay, be safe, okay?"
Albert hurriedly brushed off her words. "Yeah, yeah, I'll be home before 5."
As Albert dashed off, Ms. Lucy whispered to herself, her worries lingering in the air. "Please don't do anything stupid."
Arriving at the park, Albert spotted Aviana seated and indulging in her usual smoking habit. He couldn't help but mutter under his breath, "Oh God, a never-ending smoking."
Deciding to approach Aviana despite his disapproval, Albert greeted her. "Hey."
Aviana, quick with her retorts, didn't hold back. "Hey, knucklehead, you're late."
Acknowledging his tardiness, Albert inquired, "Yeah, yeah. Have you seen them?"
Aviana, smirking with confidence, responded, "Yeah, Ced is waiting at the gate for her. Trust me, that girl is late. I bet 20 she forgot to set an alarm."
Albert, recognizing the truth in Aviana's words, reached into his pocket and pulled out a crumpled bill, placing it in Aviana's outstretched hand.
Unable to resist adding a teasing remark, Aviana couldn't help but comment, "That kind of girl, huh?"
Albert sighed, a mix of fondness and exasperation evident in his voice. "Yeah, she always does that."
The pair observed Jolie's arrival, where she rendezvoused with Cedric. Determined to set their plan in motion, Aviana remarked, "Time to get to work."
Albert, matching her enthusiasm, agreed. "Yep."
They stealthily followed Jolie and Cedric's path, skillfully maneuvering themselves to a vantage point where they could observe the couple without being noticed. Eavesdropping on their conversation, Albert and Aviana hung on to every word.
Cedric's sweet words filled the air. "You know, you're looking adorable today."
Jolie, playfully flustered, responded, "Oh, stop it! You're just trying to make me blush, aren't you?"
Cedric, unabashed, confessed, "Guilty as charged! But seriously, your smile brightens up my day like nobody else's."
Jolie couldn't help but express her delight. "Aww, you always know how to make me feel special. Your compliments make my heart flutter."
Cedric, smitten, declared, "Well, it's easy when you're the most incredible person in the world. I'm the luckiest person to have you by my side."
Jolie's voice was filled with affection. "You're too sweet! I can't help but fall for you over and over again. Your charm is irresistible."
The couple's laughter echoed through the air as Albert noticed Aviana's trembling form, a solitary tear escaping her eye. The joyous display before them brought forth the realization of their hidden desires, blurring the lines between friendship and longing.
Whispering through her pain, Aviana made a decision. "That should have been me. Okay, we can't do this."
Albert, taken aback, queried, "What?"
Aviana, her voice filled with resignation, declared, "We can't sabotage them."
And so, with a sudden shift in their intentions, the tangled web of emotions and hidden desires threatened to rewrite their plans as they stood in the shadows, confronted with the weight of their actions. To be continued.
