shoto stared blankly at his breakfast in front of him, holding his spoon up, not moving at all. "shoto, are we going to go now?" shizou asked, tapping him on the shoulder. "yeah" he responded, getting up from the table to get his bag. shoto picked up his bag as shizou slung hers over her shoulders.
she had quickly put the loose hairs in place and made sure that it was perfect. absolutely perfect. she straightened out her uniform, and tightened the tie a little bit. the uniform had been for males, but nothing said that she couldn't wear that version, so she had chosen to wear that one.
they started to walk to ua at the earliest time ever. walking into class, there was only one boy. a dark haired blue student that wore glasses. there wasn't a fault at all in his school uniform or how he wore it. everything was absolutely in place. and he had made it seem so easy. it made her jealous.
she sat down in her seat next to her brother, and opened her book.
she was reading eye of the crow by shane peacock. she had always liked sherlock holmes. he was described in a way that she had wanted to be. able to do almost anything with nearly nothing. but in shane's version, he was depicted in a less perfect way. he was poor, a commoner, and skipped classes. he had believed that he was born at the wrong time in the wrong place.
that's exactly how she had felt. she felt that she had been wrongly born. that the family she had was wrong. that her even existing was wrong. she felt she was a bother to everyone and everything and everything would be better if she had just not existed. that things would be easier. touya might not have died, her mother might not have been sent to a hospital to stay in, endeavor might have been different, fuyumi might not have to wish everyday that they had a happy family.
either way, wishing that she hadn't existed wouldn't do anything for her. it wouldn't make her feel better, she wouldn't get stronger, smarter, or better at anything. wishing doesn't fix problems. putting things into plans do.
(wow, sorry about that i sort of just ended up putting how i feel into shizou and ended up venting a little bit. hahahaa it looks pretty good though so i'll keep it in.)
nearly half an hour later, she had snapped out of her trance-ish state and noticed that more people had actually came into the class while she was reading.
"remove you foot from that desk!" the perfect looking boy had yelled. he seemed deeply angry. "such an action is insulting to those who came to ua before us as well as the craftsmen to made the desk!!" he exclaimed. he obviously cared about his social image and how they presented themselves as students of ua.
"like i care" the other boy started off calmly. "what middle school are you from, you extra??!" he cried out.
she had noticed a boy in green hair with freckles standing by the door. in a way, looking slightly scared. he seemed familiar. she wondered where she's seen him before.
"i-i'm from somei private academy" he stuttered. "my name is tenya iida" he introduced.
his introduction reminded her of the introduction of irene doyle.
"miss" he says, sweeping his battered hat from his head. "miss" he repeats. "whom do we have the pleasure of..."
"this is irene"
"shut up, holmes!"
"miss irene doyle," she says, feeling uneasy both about him and the scene around her, yet trying to smile.
"welcome, miss doyle. i am known as malefactor and these are my associates." he motions to them and speaks through clenched teeth. "stand up in the presence of a lady, you scum!"
"somei?!" the angry blonde haired boy yelled out. "a stuck-up elitist, then? i should blow you to bits." he exclaimed through a positively sickening smile. his teeth were perfectly white, but his attitude was stained.
"blow me to bits?!" he exclaimed "you're awful. do you really wish to become a hero?!" he wailed. suddenly, he noticed the green headed boy peeking from behind the door and shuffled awkwardly towards him. "i'm from somei private academy..." he muttered while approaching him. "i heard you before! ah..." he spoke nervously. "i'm izuku midoriya. pleased to meet you, iida" he said, introducing himself.
"midoriya... you... " she assumed was the green haired boy's name. "you perceived the true nature of that practical exam. while i did not...!!" he confessed, clenching his teeth so loudly that shizou could hear it from the other side of the classroom. "i misjudged you!! i hate to admit it, but you were the superior candidate!" he said with his hands outwards.
"i didn't perceive anything!!" she could hear him mutter, but clearly, iida had put it aside.
their conversations were so loud that 80% of the students in the classroom were staring, having nothing better to do. when the room went awkwardly silent, shizou brought her attention back to the book; uninterested.
"this," says sherlock, glancing around, then drawing the long glittering bracelet from his pocket.
irene gasps, bringing her hand to her mouth. "it's beautiful"
"there's an eye on it"
irene takes it into her hand for a moment. her face seems to glow in its reflection.
"what do you think it tell us?" she asks.
"it might mean she was rich, or it might not. she might have simply owned this single, expensive thing... or maybe it belonged to the person who killed her... "
irene's face turns pale. "a woman?"
"it connects the two of them," says sherlock.
irene wonders exactly how. but she doesn't ask him to explain. she knows this isn't the right time. she also knows she shouldn't try to comprehend this remarkable boy, that that is the way to be his friend. one understands him by not understanding, by trusting his mind. when they're home he'll tell her more.
sherlock is actually feeling pleased. not just because he is--
"if you're here to socialize, then get out." a voice said from outside of the classroom. it seemed small, yet deep.
"this is..." the voice paused for only a moment. "the hero course" it said.
a cocoon-looking thing had walked into the classroom and up to the podium. slowly, the bag unzipped and a man emerged from it. he had looked ragged and appeared to not have taken a shower recently.
"it took eight seconds for you to quiet down" he said, looming over the students. "time is a precious resource. you lot aren't very rational, are you?" he spoke, sleeping bag in hand.
"i'm your homeroom teacher, shota aizawa. pleased to meet you" he said, introducing himself with his eyes slightly closed. he probably didn't get a lot of sleep. but then again, it could just be his natural sleepy-look.
he rummaged through his bad and took out a uniform that was cleverly designed with the capital letters U and A on the front of it. examining it closer, it was also on the back. they were all designed, regardless of sex.
"quickly now. change into your gym clothes and head out to the grounds." he instructed, giving everyone one uniform.
she could tell that he wanted to socialize, but didn't have the courage to do so. at the same time, he had underestimated all of his classmates and was slightly arrogant, but never spoke it.
at the end of the day, she had walked back home with her brother. when she passed the house nearby of mr. williams, she waved at him from the front window of his house. he was having lunch/tea with his husband. she was tempted to go join them, but had to go home. they would see them much later in the day anyways for a piano lesson; and his husband for violin lessons.
the day had passed, and she fell asleep.
