“Good, be there. Saturday, three pm” the Lilles girl says before turning and walking away.
“Okay…” I sigh grabbing my bag and heading towards the exit.
Saturday, 3:30pm
I groan looking down at my watch. “And she told me not to be late. God, I hate waiting.” I say before taking a sip from my coffee, as my cup lowers from my eyesight I jump at the sight of the Lilles girl approaching the table, “Where were you-“
“Don’t,” She says slamming her bag down onto the table causing me to nearly jump out of my skin and catching the attention of everyone around us. “Page 120.”
“What?” I ask my attention on everyone around us, some had a look on their face. Like they were waiting for their orders. While others had gone back to what was in front of them.
The Lilles girl made a sound almost a growl turning towards the on lookers, “What?” As if god had told them to mind their own business they all turned away. “Page 120 of your math book.” The Lilles girl says turning back to her bag as she takes out a math book.
“Do you know those people?” I ask my attention still not on the task at hand.
“No, now page 120-“
“What was your name again?” I ask sifting through the catalog of names I had heard my parents say so many times.
“What?” The Lilles girl asks clearly agitated.
“Your name.” I say more sternly letting authority slightly seep into my voice.
“Lilles. Ava Lilles.”
“Do you know a Richard Lilles?” I ask curious as to who this woman in front of me might be.
“He’s my father, why?”
“Does Crescent moon mean anything to you?” I ask smiling when the Lilles girls face pales, “Did my parents put you up to this?” I ask my alpha voice taking over.
“Who?”
“Malcom Rivers? Did he put you up to this?” I ask a rumble beginning in my chest.
“You mean…Maybe we should talk somewhere else-“
“No, I want answers-“
“Answers I can’t give you in front of humans,” The Lilles girl hisses. I sigh standing and grabbing her by the elbow, dragging her out side and towards the back of the building.
“Did my family send you?” I growl.
“No. I didn’t even know who you were until you said something-“
“If I find out you’re lying to me.” I say grabbing her by the collar.
“I’m not. I swear alpha.” The Lilles girl says fear soaking her words. A sudden heavy guilt settled in my heart as I looked into the girls eyes, her eyes…my soul mate. A look of recollection washes over Lilles eyes, a sudden wave of fear washes over me. “I’ll get another tutor,” I mumble stomping away. Great, more problems. Not only are they going to kill me for my grades they're going to kill me for threatening a centuries-old alliance they work very hard to keep. Now they’re definitely going to torture me.
