The glow of the misty sky announces the morning arriving. Our friends are sleeping tucked together beside the fire.

“Brrr, feels a bit cold today” Says Who, as she wakes up 

“Ahhhhhhh, Ello you ate my shirt!”

Ello is by her side with a mouthful and a piece of the  red petals hangs from its mouth.

“Aieee, you ate my skirt!!” she screams as she finds out she only has her honey jumpsuit and looks at Ello with a stern face. “We gave you all the berries young man! What do you have to say for yourself!?”

“Werriiiiiis” Says Ello with its mouth still full

Burt wakes up because of the noise and is staring at Who.

“What are you looking at?!” Says Who “Turn around! Just because someone wants me on a bathing suit at the beach it doesn’t mean its going to happen!” She says as she waves a fist around. She then looks at Ello chewing and Burt drawing on the sand “Babysitting huh! What an adventure!” But then she notices Burt is a bit different.

“Burt your antennas! They grew back!”

From the small stumps Burt had, two new fuzzy small antennas are growing like thick eyebrows

“Well, ahem, I mean, not that I have noticed anything different” Says Who trying to hide her guilt and looking closer. “I just mean that you look different today Burt, oh… they look fuzzy Ewwwww”

After a while, Who couldn’t find any more petals to make a dress so she is wearing Ello as a backpack, and wrapped its very long wings as a small poncho and a skirt. Ello looks like a baby wrapped on a back carrier and is munching on the last berry they had.

Who is looking at the sea, the open distance covered in a fog, behind them the tall palm like pillars. She looks at her map, scribbled on with a piece of coal is a straight line showing a bit of their travel. In the middle of the bamboo forest there’s an image of the bird statue where they found the small Cave Castle. To the west is the image of a spider with question marks as they don’t know exactly where it is that they found them. To the south is the small beach they found Burt’s Cart. To the east theres the palm pillars and further to the end is the small cave marked with a beetle.

“Burt” Says Who “I dont know how long you were lost in that forest, or how long you have been looking for answers. But when I appeared, you set everything on the side to help

You didnt forgot your goal, or about you. But you decided to help and because of that I thank you as you saved my life” 

She turns towards the cave and says “But now that you dared do things different you found something you were looking for. Not by chance, but because you did something about it.

If we go onto the sea, If we go further and further well just come around to where we started, never changing at all, and still be lost…

Those people we found in the forest are the only living beings we have met…

We need to go back,

We need to help them,

We need to help you…

By dawn they arrived to the small beach after traveling across the sand and its pillars and the further side of the bamboo forest. They had decided to park the Chariot in there as it was easier to go in towards the small settlement. But there was something different.

“Burty? Is this normal?” Asks Who as she sees the forest ground is wet and muddy, she looks back to the small beach and the tide is the same as before, and looking up all they can see is the thin mist at the end of an afternoon, no sign of rain.

“Oh dear I hope we didn’t cause any trouble” She says as she picks up the pace and remembering of the whistle and the reaction it caused.

As they run towards the Cave Cave, the water covering the ground gets higher, almost to their ankles. The forest is flooded.

When they get to the clearing they can see a pool of water and in the middle, wearing his plant camouflage, a guard stands still.

“Hey, its us” Says Who, waving her hands to the guard. But he stands motionless. 

They slowly approach him, but Burt grabs Who

“Hey!” She exclaims, and sees Burt looking at the ground, beneath the puddle they can see dozens of bamboo spikes like the ones at the armory. She looks closely to the guard and sees its just the clothing on a stick made to look like someone is standing there.

“Dear what have I done?”

Burt gently lifts Who above his head and threads carefully around the trap, towards the bamboo chapel hidden entrance. They find it half covered from the bottom up, to avoid the water from coming in.

Burt goes in first, and signals to Who to stay behind him. Inside the first hall they can see that all the weapons that covered the walls are gone, and there are several drawings of a colorful bird, whose flight seems to leave a trail of stars in the sky. But theres also a drawing of spiders falling from a cloud onto a giant dark hand that resembles a tower. The floor is covered in water up to their knees and they start going in further towards the hall with the fountain statue

Who covers her mouth to hide her surprise. As they enter the fountain room they see that there are several long bamboos stuck all the way up, blocking the opening where the water used to come in. The bird statue lays in pieces scattered around the floor.

Who stops Burt, she motions to him that she will walk into the throne room first, she’s remember the first time the King saw Burt, and how he reacted. And because of the current situation she wouldn’t want another misunderstanding.

They walk slowly through the tunnel and she sees another guard standing just a couple steps in front of the door. But again she realizes its just a trap, as when they get closer they can see the clothes are just a cover for several bamboo spikes that would spear to whomever lunges towards it. Who is scared to confirm there is someone directly attacking them.

She knows she is being heard as her feet splashes a bit on the flooded floor. She stands to the side of the guard trap to see the King and a guard sitting side by side close to the trap, a weapon in each hand. Behind them, sitting on the throne is the Queen, also wearing her shoulder helmet and a peculiar tiara. It looks like it holds a transparent mask, that shines like if it was a giant fish scale. In her hands a hook-like weapon. They all seem surprised, and relieved to see it’s Who. She notices this and waves gently with a guilty smile.

“We are here to help” Says Who “We will guard the front room” she adds as she motions towards the entry hall and picking up weapons.

The guard stands up and start going past them to the front hall, but Who stops him

“No” she says as she blocks his path and shakes her head “I caused this” she says as she points to the water and to the fountain room “I made the bird sing” and she motions blowing and her hands lift with a flapping motion 

The King gets up and starts to walk by them.

The Queen makes a sound blowing air through her nose. Everyone turns around at her as she walks towards Who and gently removes Ello from her back

“He is not my baby” Who says “I just take care of him”

The queen sees Who is just wearing her jumpsuit and grabs her hand taking her to the room behind the throne as everyone else awaits.

In there she finds that the Queen had made a shirt of white petals, inspired in the idea of Who’s clothes. Also she had made a skirt with what looked like long leaves that resembled leather. She gives them to Who as she scurries into the secret passageway taking Ello into it

“Bye sweetie mommy will be back” Says Who as she wipes a tear from her face and starts getting dressed.

The Queen and Who arrive at the main hall where the rest of the group is waiting.

Burt has a sword like the guard. Who thought maybe it belonged to the guard that’s missing.

The Queen grabs one of the shoulder helmets and gives it to Who. She ties her curly hair into a thick ponytail and puts it on. It’s a bit heavy but she finds it comfortable after getting used to it, and also realizes she doesn’t know how strong she truly is.

The King is standing next to a drawing of a pond, it looks like it has a dam built by big rocks. One of them reminds Who of the round rock Burt seemed afraid of when he threw them both into the pond as she ran from the guards.

“So that’s what is causing this” Who said at them, and nodded in agreement as she understood that they were going out on a mission.
