The band had gotten all dressed up for the summer festival they were about to attend. Satoru was wearing a plain black and gray yukata, Miyuki’s was plain black and he wore gloves with his. Hiroto was wearing a more feminine yukata since he had always been the type to wear more feminine clothes. Lastly, Shibusawa was wearing a bright red yukata with a firework design.
They were all fairly hungry when they left, so they decided to start off their evening with some classic street food. Satoru and Miyuki decided to split some takoyaki while Hiroto had kakigori and Shibusawa had dango.
Once they got their food, they walked around the festival while they ate, looking around for fun things to do.
Hiroto stopped once they came across the shooting gallery, “hey, let’s see if I can win that pink bear up there,” he said with a confident grin as he pointed to the medium sized pink teddy bear on the top shelf. It would probably be harder to win.
Hiroto pulled a few hundred yen from his coin purse and gave it to the guy running the game. Hiroto held the crossbow up and focused intently on aiming before he shot. It…was a total miss. He tried about ten more rounds, his pocket money practically spent at this point.
Shibusawa couldn’t bear to watch this sorry sight any longer and took a shot at the game. Of course, as luck would have it, he made the shot on his first try. Apparently, Shibusawa had always been good at these games.
Hiroto happily thanked Shibusawa and held his new bear close before they continued walking down the rows of stalls.
For the most part they just continued to play games, since that’s what all of them found to be most fun.
When the sun was beginning to set, Miyuki bought all of them a pack of sparklers. Since they didn’t want to light them in such a crowded area, they headed down to the lake.
“Hey! Look, I can write our band name with these!” Shibusawa announced happily as he used his sparkler to write their band name “Velvet Rose” a multitude of times.
Hiroto just made hearts and stars in the air with his. Miyuki and Satoru just crouched on the ground and watched the sparks fly.
After they were all done with their sparklers, Miyuki checked the time on his phone and noticed that it was almost time for the fireworks to begin.
The four of them headed up to the bridge and patiently waited for the fireworks to begin.
Satoru moved his hand to hold Miyuki’s as they looked up at the sky that had just begun to fill with vibrant colors and designs.
Shibusawa couldn’t help but gush to Hiroto about the fireworks. The summer festivals were always Shibusawa’s favorite part of summer and he was glad that he could experience them with his bandmates.
