The couple's laughter echoed through the air as Albert noticed Aviana's trembling form, a solitary tear escaping her eye. The joyous display before them brought forth the realization of their hidden desires, blurring the lines between friendship and longing.
Whispering through her pain, Aviana made a decision. "That should have been me. Okay, we can't do this."
Albert, taken aback, queried, "What?"
Aviana, her voice filled with resignation, declared, "We can't sabotage them."
Albert, a mix of frustration and determination in his eyes, reached out to Aviana. "Aviana, listen to me. We have a golden opportunity here to put an end to Cedric and Jolie's relationship."
Aviana hesitated, her voice filled with doubt. "I don't know, Albert. It doesn't feel right to meddle in someone else's happiness. What if they're truly meant for each other?"
With conviction, Albert responded, "Meant for each other? Come on, Aviana! You and I both know that Cedric is not right for Jolie. He's just playing the part, but deep down, he's not what she deserves."
Aviana's brows furrowed as she countered, "And how do you know what she deserves? Jolie is a smart, capable woman who can make her own choices."
With a pained expression, Albert spoke from a place of intimate knowledge. "I know her better than anyone else. We've been friends for years, Aviana. She deserves someone who will truly appreciate her, someone who will go above and beyond to make her happy."
Aviana sighed, torn between her loyalty to their friendship and her doubts about their intervention. "But who are we to decide that for her? It's not our place to interfere in their relationship. What if they're genuinely happy together? Love doesn't give us the right to make decisions for others, Albert. It's not our responsibility to protect Jolie from every potential pain. Life is about making mistakes and learning from them. We need to trust her judgment and support her, even if it means standing back and letting her take risks. Even if..."
Her voice trailed off, the weight of her words punctuated by a momentary pause, the pain etched on her face.
"Even if it hurts us," Aviana finally admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Albert's eyes softened, understanding the depth of her anguish. "Aviana, you know how much it hurts to watch them together. It's like a constant reminder of what we could have had."
Aviana took a deep breath, her resolve wavering. "And what exactly do you propose we do? Just swoop in and sabotage their relationship? That's cruel."
Albert shook his head, his gaze never leaving Aviana's. "No, Aviana, it's not about cruelty. It's about taking control of our own lives. We can't just stand idly by and watch them grow closer while our own feelings remain unacknowledged."
Aviana's eyes searched his face, her voice filled with uncertainty. "But what if we ruin something beautiful? What if they're truly meant to be?"
With a mixture of vulnerability and determination, Albert replied, "Aviana, we've been silently yearning for each other while pretending it doesn't exist. We can't keep denying ourselves the chance to explore what might be."
A heavy silence hung between them, the weight of their decision almost palpable.
"What if it doesn't work out?" Aviana asked softly, her fear and vulnerability laid bare. "What if we lose them both, and we're left with nothing?"
Albert reached out, his hand extended towards Aviana, a symbol of unity and shared bravery. "Aviana, the pain of watching them be happy together is unbearable. I can't bear it any longer. Can you?"
Aviana hesitated, her gaze shifting from his hand to his eyes, searching for answers. Slowly, she extended her hand, her fingers trembling slightly as they met his.
"It's our only chance," Albert said, his voice filled with a mix of hope and determination. "Let's rewrite our fate, as partners."
Aviana nodded, her heart filled with a mix of apprehension and excitement. "G."
Their hands shook firmly, sealing their pact.
"Okay, are we cool?" Albert asked, his eyes seeking confirmation.
Aviana smiled, a glimmer of newfound resolve in her eyes. "Yeah, let's do this."
Albert's eyes remained fixed on the couple as they made their way to the restaurant. A mixture of anticipation and nervousness filled the air between him and Aviana.
"Hey, they're going to the restaurant. We should follow them," Albert suggested, his voice eager.
Aviana smirked, using her playful nickname for him. "Yeah, yeah, lead the way, Chuckleberry."
With cautious steps, Albert and Aviana trailed behind the couple, finding a spot in the restaurant where they could discreetly observe them. They chose a table that provided a clear view while keeping a safe distance.
Sitting together, they exchanged a glance, confirming their shared understanding. Aviana reminded Albert of their plan, her voice low and focused. "You still remember the plan, right?"
Albert nodded, his mind focused on the task at hand. "Yeah."
"Alright," Aviana continued, "just like we discussed. As soon as the waiter delivers the food, bump into that guy and run."
Albert hesitated, a flicker of doubt crossing his face. "Okay, why not you go bump the waiter while I stay here and watch?"
Aviana raised an eyebrow, reminding him of their previous agreement. "Hey, did you forget? I won that Rock Paper Scissors game last night, you doofus."
Albert let out a sheepish smile. "Worth a shot."
Their attention shifted as they noticed the waiter approaching the couple, carrying their food on a tray.
"Alright, here comes the waiter," Aviana whispered urgently. "Go, go, go! Hurry, numbnuts!"
Albert began to make his way toward the waiter, but his steps faltered, and he quickly retreated back to his seat.
Confusion clouded Aviana's face. "What the hell happened?"
Albert's voice carried a tinge of embarrassment. "It was embarrassing. I couldn't bring myself to do it."
Aviana sighed, disappointment evident in her voice. "Wow, so much for 'Rewrite our fates,' huh?"
Realizing his mistake, Albert apologized, his voice laced with determination. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry. I'll do a little better next time, okay?"
Aviana gave him a stern look. "You better be."
Albert shifted his focus back to the couple, who had begun eating their food. "Well, the two of them are eating now, so let's just wait."
Minutes turned into boredom as Aviana grew restless, her attention shifting away from the couple.
"Watch them for me," she said, a hint of impatience in her voice. "I'll just take a look at Instagram."
Albert nodded in agreement. "Okay."
Aviana opened her Instagram app, but to her dismay, she had no reception.
"Hey, doofus, do you have any signal?" she asked, frustration creeping into her voice.
Albert smirked. "Yeah, I have."
Aviana's eyes lit up with hope. "Can I connect to your hotspot?"
Albert handed his phone to Aviana, a hint of hesitation in his actions.
"What are you doing?" Aviana questioned, slightly annoyed. "Just open your hotspot and tell me your password."
Albert scratched his head, feeling a little clueless. "I don't know how."
Aviana let out an exasperated sigh. "What are you, four?"
A touch of annoyance crossed Albert's face. "Do you want to connect or what?"
Aviana reluctantly accepted his offer. "Alright, alright. Give me that."
Aviana connected her phone to Albert's hotspot, finding a momentary distraction as she reached into her pocket for a cigarette. Just as she was about to light it up, Albert stopped her.
"Hey, whoa, whoa," he interjected.
Confused, Aviana looked at him. "What?"
Albert voiced his disapproval. "Will you stop that? I don't like the smell, okay?"
Aviana rolled her eyes, her rebellious nature surfacing. "So what? I have a flaw, everyone has at least one. And you being annoying is one of your flaws. And I'm not stopping you, numbnuts."
Defiantly, Aviana lit up her cigarette, taking a drag despite Albert's objection.
"You know that could kill you, right?" Albert cautioned.
Aviana chuckled sarcastically. "Yeah, thanks for the tip, Einstein."
Their tense exchange was interrupted by a waiter who appeared before them, unaware of the couple's watchful eyes.
"Is there anything I can do to help you two lovers?" the waiter quipped with a mischievous smile.
Both Aviana and Albert responded in unison, denying any romantic involvement. "We are not lovers."
The waiter persisted, his tone teasing. "Well, that's what my grandparents used to say. Then can I help you pick your order?"
Aviana's irritation grew. "No, we are not going to order."
The waiter's patience wore thin. "Then I suggest you two leave."
Surprised by the sudden confrontation, Aviana's anger flared. "What? You bi—"
Albert quickly intervened, aware of the potential scene they could create. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, Aviana, I'll handle this, okay? You'll make a scene, and they'll see us. Waiter, we're just waiting for someone. Can you please give us a little more time?"
The waiter sneered, his tone condescending. "I'm sorry, this place isn't where you can idle. So get out. There, how's that? I'm sure your tiny feeble brains can understand that, right?"
Anger burned in Albert's eyes. "You bitch."
As Albert looked towards Jolie and Cedric's table, his heart sank. "Oh great, they're gone."
Confused and frustrated, Aviana demanded an explanation. "What!?"
Albert's voice carried a hint of urgency. "We've got to find them."
With determination in their hearts, Albert and Aviana left the restaurant in search of the couple, their desire to rewrite their fates reignited. But no matter how hard they looked, they couldn't find a trace of Jolie and Cedric. The park swallowed them whole, leaving Albert and Aviana standing in the midst of uncertainty, contemplating their next move.
The two companions set out on a quest to locate Jolie and Cedric. They agreed to split up, each searching in different locations and keeping in touch through phone calls if any progress was made.
"I'll head to the mall," Albert suggested. "They could be shopping or something."
Aviana nodded, determined to do her part. "Yeah, I'll check out the game hub."
With their separate paths ahead, Albert and Aviana ventured forth. Albert scoured the bustling mall, weaving through crowds and peering into shops, desperately hoping to catch a glimpse of the couple he longed to intercept. However, no sign of them presented itself.
Meanwhile, Aviana found herself immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the Gaming Hub. As she scanned the area, her attention was momentarily captured by a claw machine adorned with a charming stuffed toy cat.
"Aww, that is so cute," Aviana mused to herself. "I've got to have that cat."
Her focus momentarily shifted, Aviana couldn't resist the allure of trying her luck at the claw machine. She fed in a few coins and eagerly maneuvered the claw, her determination growing with each attempt.
While Aviana was distracted by her pursuit of the coveted stuffed toy, Albert stumbled upon the couple he sought. He spotted Jolie and Cedric patiently waiting in line to purchase tickets for a movie. An immediate surge of excitement coursed through Albert's veins, urging him to approach them. Yet, as he reached for his pocket to retrieve his phone, a sudden realization struck him—his phone was nowhere to be found.
"Where the hell is it?" Albert exclaimed, growing increasingly flustered.
A memory flashed in his mind—Albert had handed his phone to Aviana earlier. His face softened with understanding as he recalled their exchange.
"Oh right," he mumbled to himself.
In his eagerness to pursue Jolie and Cedric, Albert attempted to follow them into the cinema. However, a vigilant guard halted his progress, demanding a ticket for entry.
"Ticket?" the guard inquired sternly.
Albert's disappointment was evident as he admitted, "Oh, I don't have one."
The guard's response was curt. "Then go buy one."
With a resigned nod, Albert reluctantly turned away to find the ticket counter. However, his hopes were dashed once again when he discovered the exorbitant price.
"₱350?!" Albert exclaimed in disbelief, his voice laced with frustration.
The receptionist responded coolly, "Well, it's the newest Marvel movie."
Feeling the weight of his financial limitations, Albert sighed. "But I don't have that much money."
The receptionist's tone remained firm. "I'm afraid we can't do anything about that, sir."
Acknowledging the reality of the situation, Albert muttered a polite farewell before retreating from the counter.
"Man, I guess I just have to wait," Albert mused to himself. "I wonder where Aviana is."
