I decided! Because of unknown periods of time between each visitor coming, I need something to keep me from sleeping all the time. I refused to become a good-for-nothing and irresponsible person from sleeping too much. So, I would try magic training! First step had to be studying theory, right?
“Room, could you give me something like How to Magic for Dummies? Please?”
And piles of books appeared in front of my desk. I got up and walked toward them to see what kind of books Room chose for me. I didn’t mind going through all these books since for me reading was fun and didn’t need any effort to do. Now, which one should I start with?
“Something easy, something easy… Ah ha! Mana Control Part 1! This should be a book for beginners since it’s really thin.”
After I picked up the book, the piles in front of my desk disappeared. Maybe I should ask Room for some snacks to eat while reading but I realized there might be some form of exercise I was required to do, so I shouldn’t eat right now.
First thing said in this book was ‘Mana is nature itself, as we couldn’t control nature there shouldn’t have such a thing as the control of mana. But we could still use mana anyway. Why?’. Good question, author but I didn’t know what you talked about since I couldn’t sense mana. Did I pick the wrong book to start with?
I continued reading anyway, it was really rude to not finish the book once you started. The author gave me the answer in the next part. ‘It might be because we had mana in our body, so we can influence mana in our surroundings with them and are able to use magic in the end. Then how could we improve our influence on mana to get better at magic? The way most people know was increasing mana inside our body, but there was another way which was harder but brought better results. That was improving your control on mana inside and outside your bodies.’ The idea was really interesting even for someone who didn’t know anything about mana like me. I assumed this book would teach me the later method which was even more exciting!
‘Then why didn't most people train their control over mana, you might ask. The answer was simple. The method was too slow when you were young and was harder when you were older because people naturally built up too much mana inside their bodies as they grew which made it harder to get the ideal precise control. Some might be able to achieve both but they were so few in number and we called them geniuses.’
"I see… But what about me? Someone who was from a different world? Do I even have mana inside my body? Tell me how to test them already!"
'This method was invented by me during the time I suffered from a curse that made the mana in my body keep dispersing. But as someone who was addicted to magic I couldn't live my life without them, so I tried everything to recover my strength and the results would be shown in these books. Since these methods were only practical to do when you were young, I included the basics here too.'
I was so happy! Thanks to whoever wrote this book I might be able to learn something new! You were the best teacher, nameless author. I wasn't kidding, I looked through the book before to find the name of the author but there was nothing at all. Considering everything in this book was written not printed, did this book get published? Or was this the secret technique only few people know of? Stop daydreaming, I need to study this first.
'The best and most efficient method to make someone be able to sense mana was hitting them with magic.'
The author of this book was a lunatic!

In another black space, White was sitting on the floor alone and looking into the dark space like he was watching something. Then an unknown voice rang up.
“Are you sure about this?”
“About what?”
“The human you brought to help in our plan. Do you really think he could bring us the satisfying result? Did you see his first story?”
White waved his hand and the book of Wolf’s story floating in front of him.
“I already read it, wasn’t it quite amusing? How did something with so much power not fill with desires?”
“Amusing?! You mean boring! Did you forget our…!!”
Before the voice could finish what it intended to speak, White rotated his head to look at the origin of the voice and smiled. His neck was unnecessarily bent because he decided to turn to the right until he met the voice on his left, resulting in two hundred and seventy degrees of rotation.
“Don’t worry my comrade. He’s still playing around right now, but when he starts to understand his job. Our world will be turned upside down. But if you still can’t believe my judgment, how about we look at his past?”
As he rotated his head back to the normal position, White offered another book for the voice. The title of this book was ???’s Story.
“Why can’t I read his name? And did you give this to anyone else?”
“You were the first one to see it but if anyone comes to complain I will give this to them. About the name, that was one of the rules he included in our contract. He didn’t want to have any kind of connection with our world, I think.”
Everything went silent as the voice started reading the book. White observed him with interest, trying to look for any reaction this person would give out as he read the story about that man. Then the book just dropped to the floor and the trembling voice asked in a hurry while White just smiled at him.
“Why did you bring something like that here?!! I need to bring everyone here to learn about this now!”
Unlike how silent he came into this space, the voice made a lot of noise running away from here.
