The group walks outside the bamboo spike fort, that looks like a giant bird’s nest.

The King leads them around the several spike traps they had laid under the pooled water. Burt followed behind the King, then Who, the Queen and in the end the guard.

They trailed through the bamboo forest following some hidden passageways.

“So this is how they moved so fast” Thought Who, when she remembered the guards tracking her.

Thunk! - “Owweee” Says Who softly, trying not to call attention onto them. Burt had stopped solid and she had bumped into him “Burt!” She whispers as she gently slaps his armor “just because you can become a wall doesn’t mean you can do it without warning”

But Burt was holding his sword out, Who realized he was staring up front where they would come out of the bamboo trail, onto what it looked a big pond.

Who sees the King is waiting looking sternly at Burt, the Queen and the guard pass beside them and follow up towards the edge of the pond.

Something can be distinguished deep into the pond.

“Burt Is that a cave down there” Says Who, but realizes that Burt is again lost in his thoughts, he is looking at the left side of the pond. A wall of big stones covers that side and it looks like one of them is missing.

“Oh dear!” Who exclaims “Burt! I remember this place! Is were you saw that poop ball, sorry, the other round thing that had you scared” But now that was the one that was missing, and it seemed to have been the cause of the flooding.

The group carefully walked around to see it more closely. A big round stone was indeed missing and it was different than the other ones beside it.

“Hey those look like the ones you use in the cave” Says Who, as she noted the stones that made the wall where round and thick slabs like the one she saw use as doors.

The King and the guard stood as if measuring the opening and they got ready to return as if they knew how to fix the issue.

As the group starts to go back Who realizes Burt is behind them, his fuzzy antennas twitching

“Burt we need to stick together” Who says “Im sorry but you have been acting strange since you got your antennas back” She adds worried and feeling guilty “Let’s just go back ok, seems like we will help them seal this wall and fix the flood” She grabs onto Burthand and starts to pull him a bit, he follows but doesn’t stop looking around, distracted.

The night now covers the misty sky, the group just arrived to the open space where the big bamboo nest like structure stands, the entrance to their home. The flood has receded a bit, soaked into the ground. The air feels colder and there is a thin mist on the muddy floor.

Swishh!! - A blade swing gets everyone’s attention.

Burt is in the back, his eyes open wide madly looking at the air in front of him, 

“Burty!” Yells Who worried, and in that moment, time seemed to slow down forever.

Burt turned his head to the left and jumped swinging at the air. He sprinted towards us and again swung his sword so hard and fast, It looked like it was imagining things.

In an instant he looked at the King, and ran towards him jumping as far up in the air as he could and opened his wings ready to fall onto him.

The king, changed his step and was ready to receive Burt with the tip of his sword

Thuuumpshh!

It was so fast no-one could react, just Burt who seemed frozen mid air in that eternal instant

Over were he had swung his sword, three earth shaking blows landed one after another

Like hands, landing from the sky and closing their grip onto the mud below

It was spiders, and as swiftly as they arrived they where pulled out of the place, as if someone pulled on their invisible thread

The fourth one hit Burt as he was gliding midair. The impact was so blunt that Burt grunted when they hit the ground, barely missing the King. Several of his tracking jelly balls spread onto the ground.

Burt had seen the spider threads in the darkness of the night. The group unknowingly had walked into a trap that curiously was set just beside a trap of their own.

“BUUURT!!” Cried Who, as the guard and King lifted their swords to swing at anything that could pull on him, but everything happened so fast that Who barely saw Burt’s eyes as the spider clutching onto him got carried up into the dark sky.

The Queen was already mid sprint and swept Who of her feet, she was running straight towards the bamboo chapel as around them more several blows announced spiders landing to grab everything they could. Everyone they would clutch on.

Who couldn’t react, she was being carried under the strong Queen’s arm, and she jumped over the spike wall of the bamboo chapel, to land onto the long petals that covered the roof.

Their wight caused the petals to sink, like a landing net, and this caused the spikes around the outside to turn up and then close the open roof, looking like a spike covered mound.

“No we have to help them!” Yelled Who as the Queen quickly tried to get out of the petals covering them, and the blows continued, this time over the spikes on the roof and there where so many that one broke through.

A spider clutching a bamboo spear through its torso landed on the floor beside Who and the Queen, from its tail a shiny thread sparkled and it was quickly pulled up and away.

The Queen wouldn’t stop, It grabbedWho and kept running through the tunnels and chambers towards their safe spot.

Once there she threw Who on the floor and quickly turn the heavy stone that blocked the door.

She grabs onto Who’s wrist and starts pushing her towards the secret entrance where they had hidden Ello.

“No!” Yells Who defiant, the Queen tries to pull on her but seems incapable of doing so. Who is standing solid, her eyes full of tears.

“I came to help! I will save Burt!” Who yells as the Queen tries again to take her in, but finally understands Who’s resolution. She looks up as the thumping sound from the impacts continues outside, she looks at Who and gives her the tiara, the one with the fish scale mask, from her hip belt she pulls a wide dark dagger and points towards the back, where it seems theres another passageway, and she looks at Who with a melancholic smile and turns into the secret passageway.

A wave of scratching sounds are heard on the other side of the stone blocking the door, the spiders have arrived. Who hears the Queen close her passageway and sprints towards the exist the Queen showed her. Who didn’t stopped to block that tunnel, she would guide them out and away of the cave. She is running as fast as she can with tears rolling down her face

“I will save you Burt!” She screams defiantly with all her heart

“I WILL SAVE YOU!”
