Aric walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where his mother was cooking breakfast. “Took you long enough.” She snapped at him. She sounded rather annoyed that it took him so long to come down here. “Sorry mom. I was having a dream.” He said in response, trying to explain it. “I don't care if you're having a dream. You need to come when I call you.” His mother was in a bad mood and usually wasn't this easily annoyed. “Yeah.. still so-” He said before he was interrupted by his mother saying, “Anyways, sit down, breakfast is ready. Erevan is waiting in the yard to train with you.” Aric sat down like his mother told him to. He didn't really like training but he put up with it to make his mother and father happy. His mother put some food on his plate, it was a meal of eggs, sausage, bread, and bacon. “Thank you.” He’d say to his mother who hummed in response. “Where’s father?” He’d ask out of curiosity. “He’s at another meeting. Something to do with those blackthorne people.” She’d say in response. “He’s at another meeting? This is the third one this week.” He’d complain about him being so busy. “Your father is a noble lord, he's going to be busy, Aric. You should be happy he’s your father, you're becoming spoiled because of it.” Aric’s father was a noble lord and therefore isn't home a lot. “I still wish he was home more often.” He said in response he was starting to miss his father not being home. He had finished his plate by now and stood up taking it over to the sink. “Don't talk back to me Aric.” She’d say in response. “Anyways head outside don't want to keep erevan waiting.” She’d say reminding him about the training. “Alright, thanks mother.” He’d head outside to the training grounds where he saw yerevan’s muscular figure standing tall as usual.
