Alarm bells ring! Citizens sit on the floor, facing the wall and lifting their hands over their heads. Two men in ski masks watch over the dozen with rifles in hands. In the distant vault, voices argue. A man in business casual is flung out with a scream and hits the wall hard. "Boys! Keep an eye on him!" shouts a loud hoarse voice, the kind of voice of a drill sergeant. One of the gunmen takes aim with his rifle, causing the bank teller to cower under his hands. *BANG!* The sound terrified everyone in the room, but it was not a gunshot. Eyes wide, the robber finds his hands and gun frozen in ice.
All of the hostages cheer at Lil' Miss Steel's entry. Without warning, the other goon is kneed in the gut by a steel leg. Seeing his partner fall, the robber in ice frantically pulls his arms to break out. It was too late. The teen hero steels up her right arm as she sprints over and knocks him out cold with a single punch to the head. Both men drop to the floor with applause from the citizens. Lil' Miss Steel quickly rushes to the front doors and forces them open. "Everyone out!" she declares.
As the people flee past her, Vee cups one hand to her mouth to shout above the noise. "I take donations!" However, everyone was already long gone with no turning back. "Crap." "Boys!" yells the hoarse voice, "What's that racket!?" Vee finds her feet trembling for a second, then again, almost as if the tremors were footsteps. Her wild theory would be proven correct, as a monstrously sized creature approached. Gray rocks and brown mud formed a rough shape of a human, though eight feet tall while hunched over. "Did Stonehold say you could free Stonehold's hostages!?" Rather than be afraid, Vee asked, "Did Stonehold refer to himself in the third person?"
The monster's shiny white eyes widen with rage before raising his rocky fist to slam down. Vee dives right, narely escaping the powerful blow. From the hole in the floor, Stonehold swings out his left arm. The half metal hero ducks and reels back her arm for a counter. Deeply she plunges her fist into the monster's muddy side, but no reaction comes. "Stuck!? Let Stonehold get you out!" Lil' Miss Steel flies across the room by her enemy's throw, denting the wall where she lands. Once again stuck, she squints her eyes to find a rocky fist zooming her way.
Stonehold's mud arm extends across the bank. With just as much speed it yanks back, pulling Vee back in and dropping her to the tile floor. "Let me tell you somethin' little lady! Stonehold doesn't like punks interrupting his business! These evil bankers locked Stonehold's account! And Stonehold NEEDS THAT MONEY!!" Pushing herself up, Vee replies, "Stonehold needs to shut up!" As the monster readies both fists to crush her, loud pops shake his rocky feet. Ice travels up his legs, then another frostbang deploys on his chest. In seconds, Stonehold finds himself in an icy statue. "Chill out!" says Vee, "Oh god, I sound like Chester."
With the villain detained, Lil' Miss Steel begins her walk to the front doors. A cracking sound catches her ears. By the time she turns around, a wave of mud and rock overtakes her. Light fades. Only darkness surrounds the teen, unable to open her eyes or mouth in the thick mud. Stonehold now appears roughly square in shape; his face on one of the walls. "Not so funny now! RAHAHAHA!!" *BANG!* A chipped piece of rock flies off the monster's face, turning his white eyes to Chief Sting and his men in blue at the door. "FIRE!!"
Stonehouse roars as bullets barrage his rocky body. His square shape loosens, now melting across the tile floor. As the mud snake slithers away, Vee manages to take in a desperate gasp for air. Small chunks of mud fly out her mouth with every cough. She wipes her mask to see, but doesn't like what she finds. Hand guns aim at her. Frantically she throws out a smoke grenade from her back belt pouch and struggles to run on the slippery floor. One officer aims his pistol, but Sting pushes his weapon off course. The bullet grazes Lil' Miss Steel's metal arm as she runs out the back exit. "She's just a kid," says Sting, "Circle da block for Stonehold!"
