The meeting had come to an end for now and it was time for preparations for the upcoming battle. Chemic & Ethan were making their way to the Science department labs, Kunoichi decided to tag along with them.

“So I’m curious to know what chemical weapons have you created?” Ethan asked.

Chemic took a moment. “...Uhm well, I’ve created three chemical weapons, the first one I created was a Molotov cannon... then the second one was a Liquid nitrogen cannon and the last one was a Cyanoacrylate cannon."

"A Cyano- what now??"

"A Cyanoacrylate cannon, otherwise known as the glue gun.”

“Oh wow, that’s cool, I look forward to see them. Although what is a Molotov?” Ethan asked.

“Oh eh, a Molotov is basically the simplest form of a grenade that contains a cocktail of ethanol and a substance that ignites with ethanol, it’s usually thrown at the target then the grenade breaks on impact and the two elements combine causing a chemical reaction that ignites fire and what’s worse is that ethanol is very flammable so the target being covered in ethanol will be consumed with fire as it will spread out onto every part that is covered in ethanol,” said Chemic with a smirk on her face.

Ethan & Kunoichi both cringe, “Sounds painful.”

“It is, excruciatingly painful, but it’s being used on the robots so I’d say it’s not even painful for them unfortunately,” said Chemic.

Unfortunately she says. So she wants to see them in pain. Well it’s understandable since robots have caused pain on humans so it’s only fair that they feel the same pain I guess. Thought Ethan as they arrived at their destination after dealing with so much security.

“Welcome to the Science Department, Cyber.”

Ethan entered through the door of the Science Department and saw a vast lab filled with scientists, engineers, technology and other scientific stuff. Ethan was delighted to see it all.

“Cool isn’t it?” Kunoichi asked.

“Yeah, this place looks amazing.”

“Really? I thought you’d be underwhelmed with how advanced your tech is,” said Chemic.

“Well its been awhile since I've been in a lab where it's filled with so many inspired minds, it has usually been just me & my lab, and Tony as well. So seeing this is rather heart-warming and exciting for me,” said Ethan.

Chemic & Kunoichi's hearts melt, “Aww, that’s wholesome… I really hope you feel at home here,” said Chemic.

“I already do,” said Ethan, contently.

“Good… then follow me, I’ll give you a tour of the lab,” said Chemic. They walked down a flight of stairs and made their way around the lab. “Okay uhm, there are 3 divisions within the Science Department: The Chemistry division; Physics division & Engineering division. These three divisions make up the science department as they all work with each other to create new technology. Can you guess which division we're in now?”

Ethan looked around, seeing a lot of mechanical parts & mechanisms being built. Judging from all the mechanical work going on around me, this is probably the engineering division.

“The engineering division?”

“Yes correct, this is where the majority of our technology is made. Usually other divisions will come here with designs & theories for a mechanism and the engineers here would try and make that mechanism if possible. The head of this division is Professor Alexander, you’ll probably meet him later. Let’s move on to the next division which is the Physics division,” said Chemic while they walked to another sector of the lab. “Now the physics division’s goal is to create weapons that can level the playing field against robots and so far… they have been utterly useless... they have created nothing useful, I mean the best they could make was a jetpack but even that was useless as the jetpacks were slow and had terrible mobility-”

Jeez, it seems she really dislikes the physics division. Thought Ethan to himself then leaned over to Kunoichi while Chemic continued to ramble on about the physics division. “Why is she so ‘passionate’ about the physics division?”

“Well from what I’ve heard, there is 'beef' between the chemistry div & the physics div. Apparently, team physics were complaining about how they get payed less than team chemistry but then team chemistry started roasting team physics for being useless so then that started hostility between the two divisions,” Kunoichi whispered.

“oooh, that explains it,” Ethan whispered.

Kunoichi giggled. “It’s funny tho, I’ve never seen her ramble on this long about something.”

“-At least the Chemistry division has created useful weapons that the soldiers can use against robots unlike them who are wasting resources to do experiments that have no good results. Plus who even-”

“Okay Chemic we get it, you loathe the physics division. Can we get back to the tour now?” Ethan asked.

“Oh eh of course, sorry about my rambling. Uhm the physics division-,"

"They do anything physics related or whatever they do. If you need help with anything related to physics, you can come here but I doubt they’ll be of any help."

"Now let’s move down to the amazing chemistry division,” said Chemic, her mood cheerful now.

“Jeez, bias much?” mumbled Ethan.

They made their way to an elevator where they descended to the Chemistry division. “Now of course, the chemistry division is located under the main lab, we're working with dangerous chemicals and elements. We experiment with chemicals to try and create chemical reactions or compounds that help us fight against the robots. So far we’ve recreated grenades and other explosives, we’re slowly working on nuclear options." Ethan and Kunoichi were surprised to hear that they were working with nuclear energy.

"Then you have my creations, let me show you my creations,” said Chemic, she led them to her section in the lab while being greeted by colleagues.

She then revealed a display where her creations were mounted, “Say hello to my babies." She picked up her Molotov cannon. "This is Molly, she’s a feisty one so be careful with her." She picked up her Liquid Nitrogen cannon. "This is Shiva, her icy personally will sent chills down your spine. Picking up her Cyanaocry- the super glue gun. "This is GumGum, she gets attached easily so show her some love.”

All the cannons looked like one specific type of gun, the revolver grenade launcher and each cannon had it’s own unique skin as the Molotov cannon had a red and orange flames on it with a black background skin, the Liquid nitrogen cannon had a white and ice blue abstract skin, the Cyanoacrylate cannon had a simple camouflage skin. Underneath the cannons was the ammo used in the cannons.

“I asked the engineering division to create for me theses special bullets for each cannon and they made them to perfection. Each type of bullet contains a chemical compound suited to each gun,” Chemic explained.

“They’re huge for a bullet”

“I know right, but they have to be otherwise they won’t fit in the cannon. Plus they are light, Flash likes taking a few and using them like grenades which is good idea,” said Chemic.

“You have an interesting arsenal of artillery here, but is this all the science department has to offer?” Ethan asked.

“Oh, well the engineering division is working with the IT department to try build a big robot that can be operated by a human, the whole process going fine but due to the lack of human resources, it’s taking longer than expected. Other than that, yes, this is all we have to offer,” said Chemic.

Ethan sighed. At least they’re trying, but compared to the Mavis empire’s weaponry, they don’t stand a chance at all. The Colossals themselves are enough to wipe them out. I’m gonna have to use my technology to bring them up to Mavis empire’s level, but I doubt I have enough tech to supply every soldier, I probably have enough for the squad. Although I could try make weapons from their resources since they have similar elements to my world’s elements.

“I noticed while analysing this world’s data that this world has all the same elements as my world on the periodic table,” said Ethan.

“Wait really???” Chemic asked.

“Yes, the only difference is that your periodic table only covers half of my world’s periodic table."

“Wow, only half??? What are you trying to say here?”

“Nothing bad, this just means that I’m accustomed with your elements, meaning that I can work with your elements to try and create technology that can help you against the Mavis empire, so long as you have the resources.”

“We should have enough resources for you to do something with,” said Chemic.

“If that’s the case then we can begin,” said Ethan. He pulled out a black box with dark purple circuit patterns on it from his jacket and put it on Chemic’s desk.

“Oooooo, another black box. how many of those do you have?” Kunoichi asked, curiously.

“Hehe, that is my little secret,” said Ethan.

“Aww no fair, what does this one do?” Kunoichi asked.

“This is Black box: Laboratoria, it’s my portable lab”

Chemic and Kunoichi stared at the black box, confused. “Huh...Your lab?? But how can your lab be so small?”

“Why don’t you touch it and see how?” Ethan suggested.

Chemic was hesitant but Kunoichi’s curiosity led her to touch the black box and she instantly warped away.

Chemic was even more hesitant to touch the black box.

Ethan chuckled. “Come on lets goo” He grabbed her shoulder and touched the black box.

Chemic was screaming while she felt uncomfortable but then realised her new environment and calmed down while Kunoichi was already running around the lab checking out all the gadgets in Ethan’s lab. Both Chemic & Kunoichi were in awe of the lab, “W-Wha? H-How? Are we in the box?”

“Yes we are… if you’re wondering how? It’s due to spatial warping, the space within the black box has been warped to be as big as my lab back in my world.

“How is that even possible?” Chemic asked.

The materials used to make the black boxes have special properties that allow things like this to happened. How so? Is a story for another time,” said Ethan while walking to his holograph table. “Now I know my lab’s a beauty but you can admire the lab as we work for now let’s get to work, we’ve honestly stalled long enough as it is.”

“Okay then uhm... since you know our periodic table and understand the science within our world, what exactly do you plan on creating,” Chemic asked.

“Earlier today I encountered a Colossal and while trying to escape it, the Colossal used an electromagnetic cannon to try and kill us. After seeing that electromagnetic cannon first hand, I think it would be the best weapon we can create to take down a Colossal,” said Ethan.

“An electromagnetic cannon??? That is not within my expertise so you are going to have to work with someone from the Physics division but I doubt they’ll have the knowledge to help you make it," said Chemic.

Of course you do

"Although… there is someone in that division I know who may be smart enough to help you, unless you’d prefer to work with the whole division?” Chemic asked.

"The whole division ain’t gonna fit in here, you can bring me your friend. If we need more brains then we’ll involve the rest of the division,” said Ethan.

“That’s sensible… then I’ll go fetch him, he’ll be elated about this,” said Chemic. She walked away then realises something, “Uhh... how do I get out of here, Cyber?”

“Touch that door over there, it should warp you out of here,” said Ethan, pointing at a door.

“Thanks, I’ll be right back.”

“Okay.”

While she’s gone, I can try think of tech that I can for make for Kunoichi and the other members of the squad although I’m not sure what weapons they specialise in. Maybe I can ask Kunoichi about it.

Meanwhile back in the 4th Sector of the Mavis Empire, Vector had awoken from his 2 hour late afternoon slumber. He yawned then sighed. “It’s time I was on my way.”

He got up from the couch and moved to sit on his office chair. “I assume you’ll be gone for a while Governor?” his assistant asked.

“Yes, I’ll likely be gone for a day so hold down the fort while I’m gone,” said Vector.

“Will do Governor.”

Vector relaxed on his chair and immersed into the Cyber Realm, he took the network jetstream to get to the 3rd Sector. He was welcomed by Governor Cybris’s personal assistant and was guided to Cybris’s cyber lab, “Governor Vector, thank you for coming,” said Governor Cybris, who was with Governor Codey.

“Sure, nice place you got here.”

“Why thank you, I worked hard to make this place the way it is. This will be the place where we will make history for our kind as we begin the beginning of a new era for the Mavis empire,” said Governor Cybris, enthusiastically.

“Indubitably”

“The plan is simple, Governor Vector, you will break through human shelter’s firewalls, once that is done, Governor Codey, you will broadcast on all their media devices a video that was recorded and edited by Lord Mavis, then I will cause chaos to erupt by hacking the technology the humans have and causing them to go haywire. This will strike fear and panic within their shelter which will mark the continuation of this war,” said Governor Cybris.

“Excellent plan Governor Cybris, truly genius,” said Governor Codey, clapping his virtual hands.

He really needs to stop kissing up to him, you’re just boosting his obnoxious ego. Thought Vector while Governor Cybris chortled, poshly.

“Ha Ha Ha, why thank you. I’m glad you can admire the genius within my plan,” said Cybris, haughtily.

Vector's cyber body glitches with shivers of cringe. Oh Lord Mavis please give me strength, this narcissistic bastard is too much… and I thought Governor Java was bad. This explains why those two don’t get along, they’re basically the same and similar types don’t attract, they repel.

“Is it possible for me to do my part of this mission back in at my sector?” Vector asked.

“No, you need to be here so that we can perfectly and coordinately attack the human shelter,” said Cybris.

“Right, of course,” said Vector, miserably. He sighed. What is my life? Why did it turn out like this? Why me? This is going to be a long mission… but let’s get this over with so that I can get away from these morons.
