I waited on the hill for the knights to reach me. I looked at the house which now was ingulfed in flames, it was bound to collapse at any point. I was scared and worried for Erevan and mom the knight who appeared to be leading the group asked me "What happened here?!?" He said in a concerned voice while he stared at the corpse on the ground. "He attacked me!" I said blurting out and letting all the emotions get to my head. "Erevan killed him then went into the house to save our mother." I said a bit calmer this time. The knight turned to the ground of around 8 men. He told them "secure the perimeter men, don't let any more cultists get near the house or this boy." He'd say then the men like clockwork started surrounding the perimeter. As they were setting up I saw Erevan come out of the house. There was black residue from the smog all over his armor. He had a look on his face that told me something was wrong. He looked like he was holding back tears. I'd have never seen Erevan cry and mother wasn't with him. I knew what this meant he didn't even have to tell me, Mom was dead. I had my emotions overwhelm me. My head hurt and tears came to my eyes. I started crying tears were flowing out of my eyes uncontrollably. Erevan walked past me and to the knight I was talking to previously. I was out of earshot to hear what they were talking about. I stood there weeping and wiping my eyes trying to stop crying. As I was crying I heard someone yell and all the other men rushed towards the direction of the yell. My head shot up and I started walking towards the commotion to see what was happening.
