I spent years lying on this hospital bed, with not an inkling of hope in surviving. 

In the midst of my misery I found a new light in books and the stories that they told. 

I ran through pages and pages for seventeen years of stories about princesses, dragons, demons and kingdoms. Sometimes of history, politics and a bit of realism. 

For seventeen years, I slept with a smile imagining myself lying in a pile of books. 

If I could have one wish granted, all I ever wanted was to visit a library. 

A building full of books must be lovely. 

If I could pass on this wish to anyone in this world, I hope you hear it. 

Every single person in my life told me to hang on, to never give up, to always have hope. 

Hope only exists if your heart's still beating for it. 

Mine isn’t.

Not anymore.
