Lignum walked softly, feeling joy, and smiling. He had missed his sister dearly. But today he saw her again. She seemed different, but he could still see that she still had eyes full of adventure. He knew nothing good would come to her being there,
He was no fool, fate and destiny had finally started. He knew that his and his siblings' story had begun. He needs to let his big brother know of his older sister's appearance. That way his brother could be prepared. He walked toward his brother's office and felt an eerie presence. He happened to be near the bench where Flos stopped for her snack. He stopped, he could sense eyes watching him.
He froze completely, a cold and forsaken laugh echoed around him. “Keke! Keke, kekeke!” Lignum looked around. The laughter soon turned into a voice. “ Little wood mouse, has heard a dark secret. Yet no longer fears death. Little wood mouse, who watched an angel of death fall, do you fear nothing?” the cold voice sang.
Lignum’s body shivered. “Who are you?” Lignum asked in a cold voice. Almost as if his whole character had changed. “Keke, kek, keke. I am a mere soul who has found a master and you a cog in the wheels of change… Dark warrior.” The voice hissed at the end.
Lignum began to fear this creature, for it knew something even he did not know. He felt the presence leave, leaving Lignum with many questions. Lignum slowly began to walk again, his mind stuck on that cold, and dark voice. Lignum walked to a small coffee shop hidden near the entrance. He bought some coffee beans and a cup of coffee. Lignum walked to the building with the general's offices.
He worked on his mood, not wanting to worry his older brother. He put on a smile and walked in, he went to the elevator to the third floor and was greeted by a black cat. The black cat was no ordinary cat, it was a cat-like creature known as a Foglia Nera cat. The name meant Black leaf cat, they were incredibly nice monsters. They are very curious creatures, making them easy to approach.
They get along with humans well, for higher survival from more dangerous creature. They went nearly extinct, but they are now growing in species number. Foglia Neras have a simple diet: That diet is cocoa beans, coffee beans, and small ten inch venomous field mice. They can reach up to 2 feet, and 10 inches in height. Their width is 15 inches. But most Foglia Neras only reach 1 foot, before being hunted down and killed by Wheat Rats, not even reaching adulthood.
Thankfully living with humans have protected these gentle monsters, they are more friendlier than domesticated cats, making them a great pet to have. The Foglia Nera that is greeting Lignum is Ignis, { Lignum’s older brother} pet. His name is Willow. Willow was excited to meet Lignum, since Lignum was carrying a bag of coffee beans. Willow knew that bag was for him.
‘Che, che-che.’ Willow chirped, Lignum smiled, he knelt down and petted Willow. Lignum stood up, and began walking, Willow followed him quickly. “Let us see your master, shall we.” Lignum spoke gently to Willow, ‘Chee! Che.’ Willow replied. They walked down the hall, Lignum greeted his brother's secretary, and walked to his brother’s office door, only to hear shouting. Lignum cracked the door, to listen better to what was going on.
