The train have arrived and I don’t want to ditch her all of a sudden and I’m pretty sure I still got a lot of time before the orientation start, so, I decided to stay and finish the job in helping her out.

As the train arrived, people who are boarding the train walk pass us.

Some of the passerby who seemed to be curious looks at us and others, mostly men, looks at the woman like they were checking her out.

Well, I can’t blame them since she is sure beautiful and has a good figure.

Not to mention her chest is larger than average which will catch attention of any guy.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t allured by her but that is not the reason why I decided to help her out.

It doesn’t really matter to me if its a guy or an elderly, I will still help them out because there are a lot of people who helped me during the darkest periods in my life and I just want to do the same.

Although I don’t help people out who has ulterior motives and just want to take advantage of me.

I already learned my lesson a long time ago and it was a life threatening one at that.

It’s a story for another time.

Anyways, the train have left and the woman let go off my hand and goes back to collecting the flyers like nothing have happened.

I guess she is not the type to feel embarrassed or she is the type who can immediately change gears.

I also went back to collecting the flyers.

While we were collecting, the woman suddenly apologizes.

“I’m sorry that I am taking your time nonetheless on your first day in University.”

“No worries. I still got a lot of time left before the orientation start.”

I responded.

“That’s good to hear. Libra U is definitely strict when it comes to attendance.”

The woman replied while showing a hint of relief.

By the way, Libra U is short for Libra University.

I guess she was feeling guilty of taking up my time...

Hold on a second...

Did she just say my first day in University, on top of that, she specifically said the name of the one that I’m attending?

Wait? How does she know that?

I didn’t mentioned anything about being a University student nor being a freshman yet alone the name of the name of the school.

How did she know?

I couldn’t help but express my bewilderment.

“How did you know?”

The woman responds.

“How did I know?

She points at my bag and speaks.

“Your key chain. Its brand new and only people who gets accepted into Libra U would receive that. Besides, people who got accepted will tend to use the key chain especially on the first day and statistically, Libra U is a hard university to get accepted to, so, freshmen students would treat the key chain as a badge of honor and will most likely show it off. Not to mention, the train is a popular public transport among students and you look young so I assumed you are a student.”

She deduced all that just by looking at the key chain?

Well she is not wrong of me showing off the key chain. I thought I look cool so I used it and she is definitely right about Libra U being hard to get accepted to.

The entrance exam was super hard and I studied for a year just for the exams.

I couldn’t help but to complement her.

“You’re really smart”

“I get that a lot.

The woman replied casually.

After that, we continued to collect the flyers.

While we are collecting the flyers, a question pops up in my mind.

How come she knows a lot about Libra U?

I couldn’t help but ask that questions.

“By the way, how did you know a lot about Libra U?”

The woman answers my question casually.

“It is because I’m an alumni.”

That explains a lot.

No wonder she knows a lot about Libra U.

“I see. That makes you my senior.”

I answered.

“Yes, if you considered me graduating five years ago as your senior.”

She graduated five years ago huh.

I guess she is way older than me.

“Also, I’m not way older than you. I’m only 20 years old.”

I couldn’t help but to react to what she just said.

“Are you a mind reader?”

“It was written all over your face.”

The woman answered.

“I guess I’m an open book huh?”

I responded.

She answers me.

“Not really, it’s just that when I mentioned I graduated five years ago, your face twitched a little and I deduced that you were thinking about my age. So not to cause a misunderstanding and be labeled as an old hag, I decided to tell you my age.”

I think I offended her somehow.

I remember my mentor saying that woman are sensitive when it comes to age so never ask them there age.

I guess I should try to clear the air between us.

“I would never think that you are an old hag.”

“And why is that?”

The woman asked with a curious look on her face.

I guess beating around the bush would not work on her since she could read me through the expressions I make so I decided to be blunt with her.

“It is because you are too beautiful to be labeled as one.”

“...”

“...”

She didn’t say anything back which results in an awkward silence.

Did I say something?

Did I offend her?

I guess I better apologize.

“I’m sorry if I have offended you.”

“N-no! You didn’t offend me at all!”

The woman promptly replied and looks away.

I know she is trying to be polite but I guess she got so offended, she could not look at me.

I apologized once again.

“Sorry...”

She turns towards me with an apologetic look on her face.

She speaks to me.

“No! Don’t be sorry! I am not offended at all! In fact, I was just flattered by your honesty and I was just to embarrassed to look at you directly. In fact, I should be the one apologizing for making you feel bad. So, I’m sorry for that.”

I don’t want to make her feel bad any longer so I decided to just put it all behind us.

“Since we are both sorry, I guess we should just put this all behind us?”

The woman replies positively with a smile.

“Yes! Let’s do that.

After that, we continue to collect the flyers.

So, she graduated 5 years ago which makes her 15 when she graduated at University.

I heard of acceleration programs before so I guess graduating University in your mid teens is possible but you gotta be super smart to pull that off.

“She gotta a be a genius.”

The woman suddenly speaks to me.

“That’s what people call me but I am just very knowledgeable.”

“Holy shit! Did you read my mind again?”

I reacted in shock.

“No, you just said your thoughts out loud.”

The woman pointed.

“I did?”

I asked in disbelief.

“Yeah, you did!”

If this genius said that then it must be true.

“If you say so, I guess I did.”

I said in acceptance while feeling embarrassed.

“Don’t feel too embarrassed about it, there are times that I also express my thoughts out loud by accident so its pretty normal.”

The woman said like she was trying to comfort me.

“I see...”

I responded.

After that, we continued collecting the flyers.

...

We have finally finished collecting all the flyers that were scattered around and I hand the portion I collected to the woman.

“Here you go!”

“Thanks!”

The woman replied with a smile and takes the flyers from me.

She places the flyers in her office bag and after that she looks at me and speaks to me.

“Now that I think about it, we sure talked a lot yet we never got to introduce ourselves.”

“Now that you mentioned it, you are right!”

I said in realization.

“We were too caught up in the conversation and we never got to introduce ourselves.”

The woman pointed out.

I agree with her.

“Yeah! The conversation we had was indeed interesting.”

“Surely! And I would love to have a conversation with you some time again. Maybe at a cafe or somewhere else more private.”

The woman said with a smile.

“Are you asking me out on a date?”

I said jokingly.

“I was just asking if you want to hang out some other time but if you want to think of it that way then by all means.”

The woman replied.

I don’t know if she is being sarcastic or if she is just joining in with the joke.

I will just take it as her going along with the joke.

“Then, just say the word and we could hang out some other time.”

I said teasingly.

All of a sudden, her eyes starts glittering.

“You really mean that?”

The woman said with a hint of anticipation.

Wait! Does she really wanna hang out with a boring person like me?

I don’t want to disappoint her and I already said that I would even though I was just teasing her.

I will just man up and stick to my word.

“Yeah!”

“Then we should add each others in social media and exchange phone number so we can set a date!”

The woman enthusiastically said and takes her phone out from the right pocket of her blazer.

“Before we add each other socials and exchange phone numbers, shouldn’t we introduce ourselves first?”

I pointed out.

“Oh! You’re right!”

The woman said in realization.

“Sorry! I was just excited to make a new friend who has the same interest.”

The woman apologized.

I respond to her apology.

“No worries!”

After that, the woman clears her throat and introduces herself.

“My name is Ciel Blanche. A Paranormal Investigator of the Minerva Detective Agency. Nice to meet you!”

She gives me her right hand as if she is offering a hand shake.

I don’t know why she became formal all of a sudden but I guess I should be formal as well.

“I’m Yuto Nanase. A freshman student of Libra U.”

After introducing myself, I took her hand and we did a hand shake.

For some reason, this made me feel like I’m introducing myself to a business partner.
