The train have arrived once again and we have parted ways.

I thought Ciel was going to board the train with me but she said that she is going to set up the flyers around the station before boarding the train to go to her next destination which is the Entertainment District.

I guess she is working hard for her agency.

Speaking about flyers, Ciel gave me a flyer as well in case I need services.

I doubt I would ever need services from a paranormal investigator since my goal is to hunt down the cult and their members and not hunt some ghosts.

But who knows? Maybe someday I would need Ciel’s help in the future since there is no doubt that she is a genius.

Anyways, I have arrived at my stop which is the Academy District which is where all schools located at Libra City.

Libra City is separated by district after all and each district have a purpose like the Business District is where the corporations are at, the Entertainment District, just like the name, which is where all the entertainment is at as well as where you can find the Broadcasting Studios and different types of Agencies and so on.

One of the things that is good about Libra City is that, it is so organized it is hard to get lost.

I got off the train and head towards Libra U which is 15 minutes a way by walking distance according to Google Maps.

The Auditory is jam packed with people who are most likely first year students like myself.

After waiting for a while, the student representative who is the student council president gives a speech that I didn’t care about and explain the rules and regulations afterwards.

The orientation took about an hour and we all went straight to our first class afterwards.

My first class is history and the topic is the birth of the 12 Great Cities.

Our professor who seems to be quite young, around her mid or late twenties, discusses the history of the 12 Great Cities with an interactive slide show.

“The 12 Great Cities; Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and, Pisces, are technological marvels that were built by major companies, Blanche Corp, Silver Tech, and Belfort Foundation to name a few as well as governments from super powered countries like America, Japan, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and so on.”

Where did I hear that name before?

Oh right! Isn’t Ciel’s last name is Blanche?

I wonder if she is related to Blanche Corp?

Maybe its just a coincidence?

I can always ask her when we meet again.

The professor continues discussing.

“The purpose of the 12 Great Cities in general is to solve the over population crisis that happened during the late 2020s. 

During those times, there were too many people and too few houses let alone jobs to offer which result in people being homeless and squatting in various areas. 

Not to mention the rate of unemployment was high back then which saw a sky rocket in crime and poverty. 

To solve this immediate crisis, world leaders and major corporations band together to come up with a solution which is to create artificial islands with cities on them all over the world to house the people and give people jobs which is constructing the great cities. 

The construction of the great 12 cities started on July 12th, 2027. Of course, to build these metropolis on the artificial islands costs a lot of money and resources and not everyone is on board with it. 

There are political parties, countries and celebrities who are against the construction of 12 Great Cities stating that only the privilege may be able to live in them but the governments and corporations who are in charge of constructing the cities promised that the underprivileged will be prioritized in relocating to the cities. 

Of course, not everyone believed them and continue to express their hostility against the construction of the great cities to the point that various violent groups emerges in this hostility with the sole purpose of causing mayhem till the construction ceases. 

Majority of these violent groups came from first world western countries which solidifies the priority of relocating people outside from western countries and third world countries. A special task force was formed to deal with these violent group but that is another topic that we will discuss in another day.

The construction of the 12 Great Cities took 10 years to built and as promised they prioritized the under privilege to relocate to the Great Cities first.

Despite sticking to their words, not everyone was pleased since everyone wants entry to the great cities so people attempt to get in illegally.

Due to that incident, migrating to the Great Cities became strict to the point that there are a lot of requirements just to get a Visa.

The requirements eventually became less strict after decades have passed and the global economy have stabilized.

Although, the over population problem have not yet been solved to this day since we humans are programmed to procreate so the next project that the world governments and major corporations is to build habitats on other planets.

Now, it has been 100 years since the construction of the 12 Great Cities and each cities is diverse in culture.

Due to the great minds who have built the great cities, it is a fact the great cities are the most advanced when it comes to technology and economy.”

This is an interesting lecture.
