But I'm not here at the midnight. It was 6 in the evening.

I had promised someone to meet them here, at the entrance. 

A lot of guests going out of the dome, with multiple of colourful and plastics. Some even came with trolley bags, or big cameras like a professional photographer. The most common among them were that they wore t-shirt, knee length trousers and flip flops. Of course, a big satisfied smile plastered on their faces.

After a considerable time had passed, I saw an adolscent man, running with bags dangling on both of his hands, his head covered in fishing hat, a sling bag across his chest, baggy long sleeves shirt and knee lenght trousers. 

I chuckled when I saw his clumsy attempt to make haste as he kept on bumping into other guests.

"You don't have to run," I said softly and handing him a few tissues. I took his plastic bags as he received the tissues and wiped his sweat. 

He smile guiltyly. "No, I don't want you to wait any longer. There's a huge line to go out..." he said and looked at me with flushed on his cheeks. He noticed people were peeking at us and whispered. Those guilty smile change into a bashful smile. 

I shook my head slowly, signing I don't mind waiting for him. "Do you mind if I look what you bought?"

His eyes turned round and his animated actions brought a laughter to my face. 

"You can look, um, but... I got something from lucky draw and I thought you might like it," he said as he rummaged into one of the plastic bags. 

I look at the youth that I had known for the past 3 years since I started doing this side job. He used to be so timid and shy around strangers especially girls that he opt out a help from a club specializing in rental.

"Oh here, I knew you're a fan of Vlad from Hadel Stygian and I got lucky prize of his mini figurine. Oh, and there's also his limited A1 poster of Vlad too."

"Alvin."

"Yeah?" He lifted up his face. He looked so excited and boyish that I felt disheartened to break out the news that I prepared to tell him.

I looked at the plastic bag he had choose to put the merchandise he chose to give me and sorted out the other things into other plastic bags. "Thank you," I said like a whisper.

Alvin blinked a few times and his red face and shy smiles gone from his face. As if he could read the air. His shoulder dropped.

"Let's go get dinner for the last time?" I suggested and he nodded limply.

I reached out to his finger, intertwined them and pulled him to move. 

Today was the last day of our contract. 

The last day as his rent-girlfriend.

I started this not thinking it as a side job but for improvement of my character as Myra Rimaldi. Assimilating and understanding her character by acting out her in-story characteristic that I unwillingly trapped into. 

The meek and soft girl. Lovely and delicate. Can be very frustatingly indecisive and weak.

But after almost 7 years I started to realized that I am a charcter with predetermined dialogues and action, there were something about Myra Romaldi character that I noticed while I am just watching on the sideline.

That she is calculative and revengeful. There were times when I was watching the scene played out, her character showed a discrepencies in her action. It's not causality since I had not done anything out of the way it should be.

An action that were not described by the author.

I noticed it way back when Mika was fighting with father about breaking up with Lily. The day after the night I went out of Mika's room and running into mine, I had a huge fight with Glenn.

"Don't even try to ignore me, Myra!" Glenn warned me with a seething voice. 

I sighed deeply in my heart. So early in the morning and be part of plot scene. I could felt my heart beat faster than usual. It almost made me feel nauseated. My legs walked faster too. It seemed I really tried my best to run away from Glenn.

Alas, like a mouse cornered in a box, I skidded to a halt. As if Glenn could read my mind where do I want to hide myself, he had waited me in front of the water fountain by the garden. If my feet was a little bit faster, I could have been inside my car and wait for Mika to drive me to school. 

But it's weird. Why through here though? We could simply skip through the sun room, passing the maid's hall and straight to the garage using the small kitchen's back door. So why the elaborate roundabout way Myra?

"Tsk, tsk," Glenn clicked his tongue. "Little mousey think she can outrun me, huh?"

Seriously Glenn, is there no other dialogue that you can use? It's so cringe. 

I could have punch him in the face but 'this' Myra was exactly like a mouse, trembled at the sight of her predator. My feet frozen and my tongue tied. 

"Did you have fun last night? Playing with your brother?"

"W-what a-are you talking about Glenn?"

"I saw you went into his room last night. The Lily debacle last night was just a facade right? In truth you both-"

"N-No we're not!" I yelled at Glenn.

Eww. This man's head really dirty with weird fetishes. Experiencing this scene first-hand was nothing but unflattering. Please make this scene past by faster. 

I know Mika is going to save my butt in a few minutes but it excruciating to be here with this pervert. 

Glenn laughed out loud. 

My body took this opportunity to make a run to the garage yet, my effort was useless when he caught my wrist. 

"Remember this, little mousey. You're mine," he whispered to my ears.

My turned my eyes to my shoes and dirt on the floor when my cheeks grazed with his face. My lips trembled.

Aish, this is sexual harassment don't you think? Stand up, Myra! 

I knew protesting like this meant nothing when I have no absolute control in this situation but I just want to vent my frustration!

"W-why?"

Glenn looked at me as if I was asking a stupid question. 

"I-I think, having me doesn't equate having Noble Corp. I'm just a mistress child," I said and bravely looked into his eyes. 

There was something that happened in that moment that made Glenn jolted. 

I too was left speechless when I saw the reflection of my face on Glenn's eyes. 

In that stupor moment, I heard Mika's voice calling for me. I forcefully pulled my wrist and ran as fast as I could to the garage. 

I greeted Mika and got into the car. I pushed window button down to take in the morning air as well as to listen the echo of Glenn's voice calling my name. I put both my hand on the window railing. 

As fast my eyes blinked, the scene end with me having a perpetual shock. 

First because I saw how my eyes coldly looked at Glenn, like I don't know fear or that all this weak lamb act was a facade. Second, I saw how my face react to Glenn angry calling. A thin line of smile forming on my lips. Like an evil hidden boss kind of smile. 

Shivers ran down my body. 

Also, if my guess were correct, the reason why I ran through the front yard to the garage was because of security. Compared to when I ran through the maid's hall, the front yard were littered with security guards and Mika's and father's room were facing the front yard. If anything to happen, 'I' have an alibi. 

The author may had wrote her as a simple girl but this 'Myra' was never a simple girl, I realized.

I clapped my hand with tambourine and my face scrunched up however I tried to make it naturally pleasant. 

The colourful lights turning in its turnstile making the medium sized room felt like we were in a disco floor.

Alvin voice echoed along the music. He sang the song in earnest and I can saw that he tried to make it more enjoyable to by interacting with and dancing. Sometimes, his pitch went south.

"Is it okay for me to be here🎶

You that I longed for 🎶

I want to talk with you babe🎶

This heart o' mine is no fickleeee🎶"

I covered my mouth and looked the other way. 

I am Myra. I am meek. I don't go laughing like a monkey as I usually do when I were with Mika or Sammy.

I chanted the word inside my heart and watch Alvin whole hearted performance. 

I gave him a big applause when he finished singin his piece and he shyly scratched his neck with a cute wink. His chest was pumping up and down like he had run 10 laps around the stadium or something. I could heard his harsh breathing through the microphone too.

Ohhhh, I know! He referencing those idols posing after ending a song! Ha... kids these days.

"Uuuu, Alvinnn!" I cheered for him in a low voice yet it sounded as if I had used all-of-my-might-voice kind of cheer.

"Before I pass my mic to Myra, I want to say  something to you," he said nervously.

You don't say... Still I cheer for him in a small voice.

He swallowed his saliva. "Myra, thank you for putting up with me. I owe you a lot for the past 3 years. If I hadn't stumble Rent club on Club Festival Day when I was a freshman, I might not brave enough to talk to girls in my class. As you already know, I used to have a crush on you and I still like you. Maybe not like as intense as before. Now that I know, you being here is not entirely who you are. Still you bring comfort to me and I appreciate that."

Yeah... we did have that incident before. Him confessing to me while I'm on the job as his rent-a-girlfriend. 

"Now I'm brave enough to have a face-to-face convo and able to make friends with girls. Myra, I hope that we don't be a stranger after this. You are my first female friend that I genuinely proud to have," Alvin said and tears ran down his flushed cheeks. 

I let out a sighed. This cute kid. 

I could still be his rent-a-girlfriend but fear of causality limiting my relationship with people. I don't know what wrong turn if I continued to have with Alvin. My other customer doesn't last longer than 6 months only Alvin I put a lenient condition. 

Everything outside of plot need to be ambigious and vague.

Even my current main work as owner of Miracle Investment, I meticulously picked my next project as to not make the same mistake as 7 years ago. 

For the sake of keeping a safe ending as the author intended, no matter trashy the plot and story was, I worked hard assimilating myself as to original Myra Romaldi that the author wrote. 

But, sometimes... I miss the old me. The one before I know that I'm that Myra Romaldi. The one careless kid assuming my own original character just because I thought at that time I was an NPC character. 

"Alvin," I called him.

He looked at me with glassy eyes. 

I stood up and inched towards him. I hold out my hand requesting the microphone.

The 20 years old boy blinked his eyes and put his face on my palm.

I stiffled a laughter at his reaction. "No you silly. The mic!"

"Ahhh yes..." He quickly handed me the microphone and ran to his seat. He didn't even try to look my way.

I coughed a little and adjust my voice using the microphone. "Thank you, Alvin. I can't promise you anything but you'll always the best little brother to me."

Alvin covered his face and made a undistiguished sound.

Sorry kid. Need to make the line clear for you. 

"But... for tonight, I'll show you a sneak peak of the real me. Music, cue!" I said with a loud voice that Alvin was shocked to hear it. I laughed at his reaction. 

A melodious song started top play when I pressed the 'play' button. EDM rhythm was clear on the speaker. I opened my mouth when the three red dots dissolve above the lyrics. 

Just for tonight. 

Tonight I want to enjoy my life that I try to forget. The one that always bring sorrow yet happy smiles on my face. Once upon a time, before I awoke in this dream cycle or before I even started this long dream journey of endless cycle, I was an inspiring musical actor. I want to be like Julie Andrews. 

To be shining on stage and enjoy life to the fullest. 

That life seems so far away now. This dream cycle may look like a stage for plays but none of them I let myself out like tonight. The true me. 

"You. Do you watch me from afar?🎶

I miss you. I miss our life🎶

I'm tired now but I can still going🎶

Maybe one day, I'll meet you again🎶

Wherever you are🎶"

I continued to sing songs as night passed. Reminiscing the me of the past.
