Y/n's POV
After the week in Rakuzan, I know few things. One, I love their food. Two, I love their gym. Three, my reputation got there before me. Four, therefore the Disciplinary Committee watches me. Yes. The school had the Disciplinary Committee, made of STUDENTS punishing other students, if they misbehave. Then five, one of my old bullies is attending my class, he was aware of his moves and words around me, good. Six, few of my pets? Followers? I don't know, how to call them, are attending other classes in here. So yeah, my dreams of a new start kinda went to the same place my trust is, somewhere around hell and Neverland.
-There you are! - I heard the familiar voice of one of them. - Why did you hide here? - she asked referring to my hide-out under the stairs.
-Because I wanted to be alone. - I answered simply, not sparing her a glance.
-Have you heard, what the guy in my class did? - she kept talking, can't she shut up?
-I don't care.
She disregarded my answer, sat down next to me and started rambling. I huffed, which was also ignored. I already had my classmates ask me if she was my girlfriend. My only answer was 'God forbid' and I firmly stand by that statement. She rambled, until next class started and it was her time to go. I stood near my classmates, minding my own business. I already knew who was loud, who was not. None of them were, in my eyes, worth wasting time on. Some were bickering, some were bullying the others and I simply didn't care. After all, my time with them will pass. I had few people, I couldn't stand here. First example, Vergilia Sparda. Smart, but hella arrogant. Considering her worse than others. Or that rich guy there, Akashi Seijurou. The captain of our basketball team with the attitude I want to punch.
And soon the spark ignited a bigger fire. It was the time to pick the class president and his henchmen, as I like to call it. I just leaned back in my chair, didn't really care for the outcome, until I was being mentioned as the option. I, of course, denied immediately saying I don't feel like wasting time on this. My former bully pressured on me changing my mind, I didn't really know why. Vergilia said I was running away from responsibility, I spat back that she can always be the president instead. Her brother Dante joined, then Akashi tried to intimidate me.
-You will do as I say, no one opposes me. - he said.
And that pulled the trigger. I jumped on him and threw the punch. He didn't expect it, so it landed perfectly. Once his shock went away, he started fighting back. Everyone just watched, no one dared to interfere. We exchanged the hits until we collapsed, tired. It took us a while. I had to admit, he had the strong will to fight, just like I did. And some feeling in the back of my head told me, he may be more like I was. So I got up and extended my hand.
-Now that all the punches were thrown, I think I'm done. - I said. - That's enough.
He looked at me for a moment, before he took my hand. I pulled him up.
-For the first time I will agree with you. - he said.
We put our votes on Vergilia in the end. Of course, me and Seijurou got into trouble for fighting. We were both called to the office of the Disciplinary Committee.
-My father will be mad. - Seijurou said, as we were on our way. - He would never expect me to get into a fight. Neither would I.
-You think he will hurt you? - I asked.
-His disappointment is the biggest hurt.- Seijurou answered.
I didn't say anything more. We walked in the office and were told to sit down by Hibari Kyoya, the Captain.
-You two know why you are here. - he spoke up. - I would never think, I will see Akashi Seijurou here for that reason, as for you, L/n Y/n, I was just waiting when it would happen. Because I knew for sure, that it will. Now I want to hear what happened.
Before Akashi could speak up, I did.
-Nothing special, I started it. - I said.
-Reason? - Hibari pressured.
-No particular one, Akashi here is innocent. - I explained.
-In that case Akashi is free to go, you will stay. - said Hibari.
Seijurou left me with him, as told. Hibari and I sat there in silence for a moment, before he spoke up again.
-I can't say I didn't imagine, how our conversation today would go. - he said, puzzling me.
-What do you mean? - I asked.
-Someone with your traits and with your strength is something, I was looking for. - Hibari answered. - In April I graduate and I have no one suitable to pass my duties on. I was hoping you would choose Rakuzan, so I can offer you place in the Committee.
-I'm a freshman. - I reminded him.
-So? - he raised his eyebrow. - You will be near me, serving only under me. I will teach you everything and make sure you will be ready. But no one can know about it for now.
-What if I refuse? - I asked him, I wasn't into anything that would bring me any duties.
-I will give you a warning. - Hibari leaned back in his seat. - We both know, that next one will follow. Three warnings and you are expelled. If you join the Committee though, your fights will be treated as a disciplinary action, which will allow you to escape the punishment.
-So I will be allowed to do anything I want? - I tilted my head.
-Almost, but pretty much yes. - Hibari nodded. - You will be also let off the P.E. and instead attend the trainings with the Committee.
-It feels too good to be true. - I narrowed my eyes. - Where's the catch?
-It's the responsibility. - sighed Hibari. - You will be responsible for the safety of the students and for dealing with the ones violating the school's code in any way. You will be more hated, than you already are.
-Either way I would be getting into fights. - I said looking away.
-We both know it. - Hibari said. - Your choice.
-Fine. - I nodded.
Hibari opened the drawer and handed me the badge with the school's logo on it and the rank I had. I was the Corporal already.
-Always carry it on your jacket. - said Hibari. - Without it you're treated as a normal student.
-Understood. - I said and put the badge on.
-You're free to go. - Hibari nodded, allowing me to leave.
I turned around and left his office. I was surprised to see Akashi waiting for me. I expected him to leave to be honest.
-You took your time. - he said. - You're in the Committee now?
-Yeah, took the opportunity of being above the law. - I chuckled as we started walking to the class.
-About what you did in the office, thank you. - said Akashi. - You know, I was hitting as hard as you did.
-No big deal. - I shook my head.
We reached the classroom and walked in after Seijurou knocked on the door. The teacher asked us where have we been, threatening us to inform the Principal, but she shut up when she saw the badge on my jacket. Nice.
