Back to Nolan and the others at present. Nolan was expressionless as tears welled up in his eyes. Arlen, Grimor, and the cloaked man looked at Nolan confusedly, while Rothur appeared sad. Arlen's expression turned curious.
“Why are you crying, Mr. Nolan?”
Nolan came to his senses; he was surprised to realize that tears had rolled down his cheeks and wiped them, which soon dried up because he was crying involuntarily.
“I’m sorry, I just remembered something.”
Rothur watched Nolan and appeared to realize something while the others looked at Nolan curiously. Nolan resumed speaking.
“Next, I want to discuss about the war between Dzyranth and Titan. Undeniably, their war will affect the space pirate groups and, of course, us.”
Arlen’s expression turned serious.
“They must be stopped; their war could cause unwanted casualties.”
Grimor nodded.
“You have a plan for dealing with that, Nolan?”
Nolan shook his head.
“Not yet, although I hope the war between them will end soon. But then I realized that if we aim for the Starless Region, sooner or later, we’ll have to deal with them, even the other parties. So, all we can do is prepare ourselves as best as possible.”
The others appeared to agree on this point, and they resumed their dinner.
Sometime later, the food that had previously piled up on the table had run out, and they appeared to be satisfied without looking full. Nolan was standing on the balcony while making a cellphone call with his driver.
“That’s right, and I’d like to borrow one more car to transport my guests. Is that possible?”
The male driver’s voice was heard on Nolan’s cellphone.
“Of course, sir. Leave it to me.”
They ended the call. Nolan put his cell phone back into the pocket behind his overcoat and walked back into the room. Nolan looked at the others and smiled as he spoke, which drew everyone's attention.
“After this, I would like to invite you all to come to the Ark city inside my main battlecarrier starship to stay overnight, make our statements as the founding members of our alliance, and discuss various other things.”
The others were slightly surprised. Arlen was excited.
“The city inside the battlecarrier starship? I want to see it!”
The others’ expressions turned curious, and Nolan smiled. They walked out of the restaurant together as the cloaked man put on his mask and continued walking toward the highway. They arrived at the side of the road, where the sedan that had taken Nolan earlier and another sedan were waiting for him. Nolan turned to the others and smiled.
“We’ll meet again at the airport; you guys can take that car to go there.”
Grimor smiled.
“Alright, thanks, Nolan.”
Nolan nodded and smiled, got into his car in the backseat, and placed his sword beside him. Arlen and the others got into the other sedan, and the two vehicles drove away.
Sometime later, they arrived at the airport with the right-angle shaped terminal building. Nolan’s car stopped under the porch in front of the entrance, the driver got off and immediately opened the door for Nolan. Nolan exited his car while carrying his long sword in a scabbard and put it on his right shoulder. Shortly after, Arlen's car arrived and parked behind Nolan’s car. Arlen, Grimor, Rothur, and the cloaked man exited the car. Nolan walked to them and drew the others' attention.
“You guys can follow my starplane to my main battlecarrier starship. I’ll direct you via the voice communication line.”
Grimor smiled.
“Alright, let’s go.”
They walked into the airport’s terminal building. Inside the building was lit by the lights that adorned it. Nolan’s two crew members noticed his arrival and walked over to him. Nolan Spoke.
“Prepare the starplane; we’re going back now.”
One of his crew replied.
“Understood, sir.”
Nolan’s crews nodded respectfully and walked toward Nolan’s personnel carrier fighter starplane. Nolan turned to the others.
“See you again in Ark City.”
Arlen smiled broadly.
“Okay, Mr. Nolan. I can’t wait to get there.”
Nolan smiled and walked toward his starplane. Rothur turned to the cloaked man with a curious expression.
“What about you?”
The cloaked man turned to Grimor.
“I’ll go alone; I fly a fighter starplane here.”
The others nodded. The cloaked man walked toward his fighter starplane. Arlen and the others headed for their fighter starship.
Back to Nolan, his starplane’s engine had started, with its rear door open as a staircase bridge. Nolan walked up the staircase bridge into his starplane, and soon, the staircases lifted, closed, and became the starplane’s rear door. Inside the starplane, Nolan sat in a commander's seat in the center of the cockpit, behind the two pilots.
“We enter through the arrival airport to see off our guests.”
One of his crew replied.
“Understood, sir.”
The two pilots operated the control dashboard before them and prepared the starplane to fly.
Back to Arlen, Rothur, and Grimor. They were still inside the airport's terminal building, completing their paperwork in front of a humanoid woman flight attendant with purple skin and from the race of the Wervas planet, who carries a tablet computer with a transparent pale blue screen with the tablet’s body bezel only on both its long sides. The humanoid woman flight attendant smiled.
“Okay, you may go, sir.”
Grimor smiled.
“Thank you.”
They walked toward their fighter starship. Rothur crossed his arms, his expression turned astonished.
“It’s quite expensive, even though we haven’t been here a day.”
Arlen smiled.
“Don’t worry, we’ll soon get a treasure that will make us rich.”
Rothur turned to Arlen with an astonished expression.
“Or we should just do what space pirates do, rob a precious laden starship.”
After passing through the automatic sliding glass double doors, they boarded their fighter starship, larger than Nolan’s personnel carrier fighter starplane, via the staircase bridge at the back of the plane. After they got into the starship, Rothur pressed a button on the control panel near the entrance. The stairs bridge moved up and closed to become the starship’s rear door.
Inside the fighter starship was quite spacious, with rooms made of sturdy metal and sturdy metal frames decorated with beautifully carved wood trim, two bedrooms, a shared sleeping section with hammocks, a weapons room, an engine room, a meeting room in the center, kitchen with kitchen bar, one bathroom, one toilet, and laundry room. The three headed to the cockpit with four pilot seats surrounding the front of the commander’s seat in the center. Rothur sat in the pilot’s seat on the left, Grimor in the pilot’s seat on the right, and Arlen in the commander’s seat in the middle. Arlen smirked.
“Alright, let’s head to Ark City.”
Grimor and Rothur smiled. They started the starship’s engine and prepared it to fly by operating the control dashboard before them.
In another part of the airport, the cloaked man climbed up the ladder beside his fighter starplane cockpit, designed for two pilots in two rows of front and back seats, that parked far from Nolan's and Endless Pirate's Starplanes. He sat in the front row seat and pressed one of the buttons on the control dashboard before him. The starplane door, made of sturdy glass and a sturdy metal frame above him, closed. This starplane had long main wings at the plane’s rear, smaller wings at the head part near the cockpit, and two tail wings above two cylindrical jet engines. He started the starplane’s engine, operated the control dashboard before him, and prepared it to fly.
In another place, inside Nolan's starplane, he operated the communication control button above the right armrest of the commander's seat where he sat.
“Are you guys ready to fly?”
Grimor replied through their starplane communication device.
“We’re ready, Nolan.”
The cloaked man replied through his starplane communication device.
“I'm ready whenever you are.”
Nolan smiled.
“Alright, let's take off now.”
Nolan turned to his two pilots.
“Everyone’s ready, fly this plane.”
Both pilots nodded as one of them replied.
“Understood, sir.”
They engaged the double control stick before them. Nolan’s starplane, which resembled an armored flying wing fighter jet, took off vertically upward, with several jet engines thrust at the bottom of the plane, as well as Endless’s starship and the cloaked man’s fighter starplane. Nolan’s starplane flew almost vertically upward toward the faint view of the fleet of the Lantern space pirate alliance’s massive battlecarrier starships in the distant sky. Their lights dotted the night sky, forming a river-like shape made of light that expanded from one end to the other.
The three planes flew over the night view of Werfas city. Many people of various races gathered in different corners of the city and buildings to enjoy the unusual and beautiful sight in the sky of a Lantern fleet. The three starplanes flew higher and higher and then dived upward.
After some time of flying, the three planes left Wervas planet’s atmosphere and entered the outer space region. Nolan’s starplane got closer to the Lantern main battlecarrier starship with dozens of fighter starplanes flying around it. Nolan’s starplane flew toward one of the hangar’s metal double doors near the front of this battlecarrier starship, on the fuselage part that formed the wing.
