The silhouette at the door of the bedroom squats on the ground and hangs its head low.
“If I know the game is a battle game of a puzzle game, I’d be mentally prepared. But all the information shows it is a healing game. Who can tell me how to escape in a healing game?”
Han Fei stares intently at the door and forces himself to calm down. It makes no sense to think about why he can’t exit. He must try to survive within the rules.
“I have completed one mission before. I checked the clock on the wall when entering the game; it was 0:00 am. The last time I looked at the clock was 2:44 am. I need to survive for a maximum of 16 minutes before getting out of here.”
But the problem is how to make it.
He is not sure whether the knife in the hand works; maybe it could only provide a trace of psychological comfort.
As a wage slave, Han Fei even feels a little incredible that he does not have a mental breakdown after a series of crack-ups.
“Meng Shi told me there was an accident in the house; it should be about the guy squatting on the ground. The other residents in the apartment do not move, indicating this guy rarely leaves the house. I should be safe temporarily as long as I escape here.”
“The current situation has not yet reached the worst. If it is blocking the door for the next 16 minutes, I can exit the game smoothly; if it comes in, I’ll run straight out of the bedroom.”
The situation is so urgent that Han Fei is given up on the Newbie Mission.
His gaze slowly moves towards the wall clock, but before he could see it clearly, a bone-chilling cold rushes to his heart!
That guy is missing!
Without thinking, Han Fei directly jumps out of bed and runs towards the living room.
He knows that it has entered the bedroom.
Han Fei thinks he has never run so fast in his life. He rushes to the security door and opens it as fast as he can.
The sound of the door opening lit up the voice-activated lights in the corridor, and the dim light shines into the house.
Han Fei doesn’t stop but just glances at the bedroom the moment he closes the door. In the shabby house, there is a person whose limbs are twisted into a weird angle lying by the bedroom lampstand.
Before relaxing, Han Fei hears a strident noise in the house, as if someone is scratching the door desperately with his nails.
“That guy wants to come out!”
Not daring to stay, Han Fei runs downstairs. He knows that Meng Shi also has her secret. But she is less threatening to himself.
Arriving on the third floor, Han Fei smells the familiar smell of meat again and finds several black bags thrown by the half-open door, which are different from those he has seen in the refrigerator before.
Taking a few steps back, his back touches the door of another room on the third floor. A bagua mirror full of cracks falls from the door, almost hitting him.
It is densely plastered with talisman papers on the door which looks terrifying.
“Is there no normal guy in this apartment?”
At this moment, all the lights go out and are never on again.
In the dark and silence, Han Fei hears the sound of a door opening. Something is approaching.
He turns around and runs downstairs desperately. He can feel something in the dark chasing him.
Han Fei rushes to the first floor, and only then does he find that the door of the apartment is locked, and he can't leave the building at all.
Han Fei keeps chopping the lock with the knife until something in the dark appears behind him.
His neck is slowly tightened. Han Fei seems to be crazy and continues chopping, but in fact, he pays all his attention to the Attributes Panel.
Soaked in the coldness, Han Fei can’t hold the knife anymore. The gray exit option finally lit up when he is about to lose consciousness.
Three hours is up!
“Exit!”
The world keeps spinning; sharp pain comes from the depths of the brain.
The moment Han Fei regains control of his body, he endures the pain, forcefully removes the game helmet, and slams it on the table.
The projection screen on the wall shows that it is now 3:01 am.
Han Fei entered the game in the afternoon; it is late at night when he is back to reality.
“Player ID 0000 attention, please! You have completed your first journey in the original version of Perfect Life. Please speed up your exploration.”
A voice sounds in the depths of his mind, and Han Fei is directly dumbfounded. Because he has taken off the game helmet, and the voice appears directly in his head.
“How is that possible?”
“Please start your second journey within 24 hours!”
“Why does this voice appear directly in my head?” Han Fei picks up the game helmet, which is stained with blood now.
After carefully thinking, Han Fei vaguely remembers that something pierced his head when he puts on the helmet.
“This is an attempted murder!” Han Fei takes out his phone and prepares to call the police. But when the idea appears, the voice in his head comes again.
“Player ID 0000 attention, please! Do not divulge any information to anyone, or the Black Box in your brain will explode, ensuring you are brain dead in 0.01 seconds.”
“Black Box? Brain death?” Han Fei feels his head hurt even more, looking at the healing-type tag on the helmet.
