“Nay, my son.” Brother Wendell’s dark eyes misted over. “Free will allows you to make the right choice.”

“But if we are fated...” The rogue protested.

“Enough of that.” Ethel cut him off. “Tell us, old man, how are we to get this done?”

“You must follow me.” Brother Wendell nodded and turned around to enter the darker tunnel he had stepped out of.

With apprehensive glances at each other, Ethel and her companions gingerly stepped into the darkness the old monk seemingly vanished into.
