He nodded his understanding and lifted his tail from her back, tredding forward once again. She followed close behind, embarrassed how the situation had affected her. Suddenly, two figures approached them from their right side. Taken aback, she began to growl as Patience gazed calmly at the shadow figures and sniffed the air.
"Swift! Silence! How are you two?"
The two figures emerged from behind the trees, both being the size of adolescents. The biggest of the wolves was a male with a black pelt and yellow eyes. The smallest was a female black and white wolf whose pelt was in the pattern of a sheep. Her eyes were also yellow. Both of the wolves bared their fangs the moment they spotted her.
"Hey, calm down."
Patience stepped in front of Shine, protecting her from the two wolves.
"This is a puppy I met in the mountains."
Patience placed his tail over her back, stepping back to allow the wolves to examine her.
"You brought a dog back to the territory?"
The male asked, his voice condescending. He stepped in front of the smallest, his tail stiffened. The smallest titled her head to her side, eyeing her curiously.
