"What are you doing!? Why are you telling some stray your name?"

"Silence, calm down!"

Silence looked up at Patience once again. He rolled his eyes as the smaller wolf smirked. Fixing his posture, he looked Shine up and down. He took a step closer and spoke directly to her. 

"What are you doing here," the wolf asked, "Why were you anywhere near our territory?"

Shine took a step back as she said, "Your friend here found me in some cave in the mountains, and your friend here told me to follow him after I begged him for a place to stay."

"It's odd, innit," Patience said, "A dog being so far away from the warmth of people's touch."

"It is odd," Silence said, "which is exactly why I want to know what that stray is doing here."

Patience shook his head and sighed. He looked down at Silence once again, amusement in his growing grin. 

"Come on now," Patience said, straightening his posture, "You aren't dumb. You know a dog who has knowledge of humans and their antics would be great help to the territories."
