“What the hell are you doing?”
“Shhh, I-I saw a roach near the couch”
I said, as I stood on top of a chair with my wife staring at me with a disappointed look. Which I didn’t understand. This was a very justifiable reaction.
But I couldn't stop looking for the roach as if I was a pirate scouting the open sea ahead.
As I continued looking, to finally spot the damn beast. It was coming straight our way. All I could do was stare into Stella’s eyes as the vermin ran to touch her leg, or did it crawl.
Everything became gray with slow motion included, Only one winner in this race and it seemed as if the roach had all bets. Before Stella could look down, she jumped off the floor and into my arms as if this was an olympic jump competition.
“You know, you’re heavy right”
I could tell just from her face she was annoyed, and also the hand that was going to connect with my face. I barely managed to dodge, forgetting we were on top of a chair. So we both fell to the beast territory, I had even forgotten how I had gotten in this situation. Until I met him again.
I looked into my wife's eyes as we made contact with the floor, her still being on top of me, somewhat caused the pain to be worse.
“Listen, I have a plan. You go get the spray and kill it.”
Her face gave a sarcastic smile, with her eyes closed and her white teeth shining.
“What do you mean I go, my so-called love. Aren’t you the man who said he would protect me, now shouldn’t you handle this.”
“Of course I said I would protect you, but if you had read the secret contract insects weren't an included option”
She gave me a flabbergasted face, as if I said something wrong.
“Before we start to argue, could we please go in the room before that bug comes back.”
*
“I’ll kill you”.
“Luna, let’s talk about this. I didn't know it was yours. Luna Wait!!”
As I layed on the floor watching towards my demise all because of some ice cream. I wouldn’t go as far as saying I didn’t cause the situation, with my own stupidity. I knew it was salted-caramel ice cream, but did it mean I had to get strangled as if we were yellow with different family roles.
“I’m sorry, please have mercy”.
As she glared down at me, my body couldn’t help but shudder. I thought she had calmed down from my amazing prep talk about Emmanuel, but nothing changed.
SHE'S STILL THE DEVIL ON THE INSIDE!!!
“Agh, I give up”
There it was the last of my time in this short yet happy life. I even felt like shedding a tear, as the person I was born with, took my life away.
God I appreciate the opportunity you have given me, goodbye world. Now I’ll never know how ⚫ne Pi⚫ce will end.

As we stood in the dim room, no one was in the house until the next day. As my parents went out, without a care in the world just leaving us here. Even after they were the ones who asked us to visit.
But despite that, something else inside me was thrilled at being alone with Stella once more, but a certain brown vermin somewhat ruined that dream.
“Hmm, Jefferey no Jeff, no no Jefferey.”
“What the hell are you talking about?” She said with the once more disappointed glare.
“Oh, I’m naming the vermin”
The look of confusion and then acceptance came to her face within a matter of minutes.
“How did you get me to be the grown one in this marriage? What are we even gonna do now that we’re stuck in this room”
I did what any normal person would do, in a not so common situation such as this one. I picked up the remote for the tv and laid on my bed.
“Most likely way to win against Jeffery is to wait for the house master to appear.”
She gave off a sigh and jumped on top of me causing my body to jerk forward.
“Oh, my useless husband, Can't even kill a bug.”
“I can-”
Before I even spoke she came closer towards my face giving me a peck on my cheek. Why does she always make me speechless?
“I will forgive your cowardice”
*And so we stayed in this room until we got hungry needing to run out for food*
