3rd POV

" Casper!" his father yelled, he and Ophelia both flinched at his suddenly raised voice " If you're not happy with her than I shall take her back as my concubine!" he bellowed in all seriousness.

'What?! This isn't meant to happen!' Ophelia panicked, the Prince also noticed the distress on her face and gave a regretful expression.

" Your Majesty, Sun of the Empire of Equisseria," Ophelia attempted at flattering the Emporer whilst bowing.

"Whatever, you and my father wish for me, is what I'll do and become, so I consent to the marriage with your son,"

' This insane guy will just take me as his concubine if I reject his son. Ultimately, against this tyrant, Ophelia had no authority,' she stressed in her mind.

' Is she stupid why would she say something like that!?' Casper was annoyed by her unnecessary apology, but when met with his father's uncanny glare he faltered and lowered his head.

The Emporer cleared his throat and gave a slight smirk, " My son is a womanizer so I'd understand why he said that perhaps to please you..." 

Then standing up " I like how your a smart young lady who comprehends her position,"

"Princess Yvonne is entering," was announced and he was abruptly cut off.

" Where is she?!" She stormed into the room followed by the same women from the welcoming party.

Casper's eyes widened in delight, as her presence welcomed the room, however, Ophelia's mood plummeted yet again.

' Yvonne! She's been introduced already?! This didn't happen in the book! And why is Rosetta here she's supposed to start as her advisor later...' She debated in her mind.

Yvonne who was deemed as mildly attractive had the same coloured eyes as her older brother. Red. With a dull white shade of hair, pale skin and a tall build. 

You could say she was the female replica of her older brother Casper, but his features were more handsome than her's.

She had barged into the audience the same moment her father had stood up to leave, and behind her was the scurrying Rosetta who was advising her to leave.

" Ha, you are just a shell of a person. I heard everything, a girl like you. Who easily obeys a man's command how depressing," She cackled as she waved about her fan in front of her face.

The Crown Prince yelled "Yvonne! Mind your mouth!" 

" What?! And father, how humiliating pestering a lady younger than your own children about becoming your concubine. She might be a slut, but Papa that is illegal," she bellowed in rage.

' A slut?!' Ophelia stated to herself.

The Emperor became increasingly uncomfortable and didn't wish to shame his family in front of Rosetta and Ophelia. So he concluded to stay quiet and leave.

" Yvonne." He firmly stated "Don't disrespect me like this again, I shall be taking my leave,"

As the Emporer took his last few steps out of the audience room, Ophelia felt the crushing silence that weighed on her deteriorate. 

Yvonne watched as her father exited and continued "Ha, now that he's gone why don't you admit to your sin,"

Ophelia ignored Yvonne's meaningless comment and picked up her gown in preparation for leaving the hall. 

Since her past self knows that Yvonne was an antagonist who's job was to ruin her brother's life and bring about trouble for Ophelia and Rosetta.

Yvonne's pride was stung when Ophelia ignored her, and she quickly stood in her way. " You know just because your beautiful, doesn't mean you can be a whore," 

Without warning, she raised her hand and slapped Ophelia across the face. 

Ophelia's left ear began to ring on the impact of her smack.

" Your Majesty!" Rosetta screamed in anxiety.

" What, don't you know Rosetta? This so-called blessed blossom of Alira was flirting in the open, at her own welcoming ceremony with the Duke of Crawford, isn't that right Casper!"

The Crown Prince became increasingly uneasy and stayed silent.

' Is that why the story changed....because of yesterday night?!' Ophelia assumed.

Rosetta began to stammer in fear after the mentioning of the Duke " O-of Crawford?!"

Ophelia smiled to Rosetta who was behind Yvonne trying to get her to leave the hall. 

" Don't smile at my advisor!" She demanded " Stay away from the Duke! Aren't you embarrassed?! Say something!"

Ophelia sighed and replied, "I wasn't flirting." She glared back at Yvonne, and revealed the bruises on her arms " Yesterday, I was thanking the Duke for saving me from being sexually assaulted in the very party that this Empire's Royal family set up for me,"

Yvonne stumbled back as Ophelia stepped forward " You say it was for me, but not only did it begin without my presence. I was neither greeted by his majesty nor the Crown Prince. Furthermore wasn't the purpose of that gathering to introduce me to the nobles?"

She then looked back at Casper who realised that the man laying on the ground must've been her assaulter, and her bruises were from him.

" Whilst, your precious brother was flirting in the middle of the hall with your advisor. I who had just entered this Nations palace was about to be raped,"

She then took a bow and smiled " My first experiences in this Empire were great, thank you. I shall take my leave now,"

The Prince who felt immense guilt called out "Ophelia!" As she began to hurriedly head for the exit. Rosetta felt bashful against Yvonne's behaviour yet confused at whom the prince was flirting with.

' Ugh, I need to leave this place before another unexpected thing happens! Hopefully, Casper follows me and stays away from Rosetta,' Ophelia hoped just about her reaching the door.

As she reached the corridor she was pulled back by the Prince, "Ophelia! Calm down!"

'What the hell... I thought he'd say something else..'

" I am calm," she stated. 

Then at the end of the hallway was the Duke who was looking for the Crown Prince but was met with all this commotion yet again.

" I can't believe you told my father that his wish, was your own! Do you know how humiliating it was for me after I stood up for you?!" He bellowed

Ophelia then gave him a cold expression and said " I never said that, Your highness. I told him that his wish and my father's wish is what I'll do and become,"

Casper was still enraged by her reply 'So she has no freewill?!' "That's the same thing!" He raged.

' I'm sick of this!! They are all so annoying, how much longer can I keep my cool' she felt. 

Ophelia then pulled her arm out of his clutch and asked: " Do you want to marry me, your highness?"

He paused for a moment and replied " Well...I have no issue with it, so I guess so? And what about you?" He asked.

" I'm 17. My father sold me. I have nowhere else. It's either you or to become a concubine," She glared at him with cold eyes. 

"..." Casper was left speechless and could only feel apologetic for his own ignorance. Then he opened his mouth once more to say "Yesterday! You...said that you hated me, do you really-"

"I don't remember! I must've been drugged by that man, so please forgive me for any uncalled for behaviours your Highness," Ophelia harshly answered.

Then turning around she resumed her journey back to her palace. However, right before her was the Duke who was watching the both of them.

Ophelia was immediately flustered and at a loss for words at his sudden appearance.

' Hmm, let's see how she reacts after what she pulled yesterday,' he thought after he watched her current performance.

" Good afternoon Your Grace," she greeted him then hurriedly continued her way. But was again stopped by the Prince.

' What is he doing now!?' Ophelia worried as she looked at Casper's hand that pulled her back.

" And what is it you require Duke?"

With a smirk, Leon answered "You actually, I needed you in an urgent matter. But it seems like a lovers quarrel perhaps?" 

Casper then let go of Ophelia. He himself didn't know why he held onto her so suddenly.

" Err, no... I haven't introduced you two yet. This is Ophelia the daughter of King Herman of Alira and the future Empress of Equesseria," He informed him.

' Ah! So she is the daughter of King Herman, she'll be useful' The Duke's eyes abruptly lit up and he then grabbed Ophelia's hand and with a warm smile kissed it and said.

" Greetings Your highness, Crown Princess of Equesseira, please forgive me for my negligence,"

Ophelia's expression became of a bewildered one ' What is happening! This isn't meant to happen! I-'

She quickly retracted her hand from his grasp and hurried away.

Leon was surprised by her reaction ' How odd, yesterday she was so informal and now it is different. Nevertheless, I will use her then cut out her tongue and throw her away,'

'...Never again will a person call me by that disgusting name...'
