while Lily and Youssef stand in front of him like two innocent kittens amidst the chaos.
Lily is wearing Jacob's shirt, which seems oversized on her, and her hair is tousled from the running.
Youssef is by her side, with a charming and innocent expression, and remnants of trash stuck to his head.
Jacob continues to stare at them, then slowly approaches, causing both of them to step back cautiously, fearing his explosive reaction.
Jacob speaks sharply, "Do you both think you're children? Come on, tell me, how old are you?"
He points his gaze at Youssef standing before him. "Come on, speak up."
Youssef responds after glancing towards the kitchen, "Thirty."
Turning his gaze toward Lily, Jacob asks her too,
"And you, do you think you're a child? Ha, how old are you? Come on."
Lily turns her face in the opposite direction of Youssef and defiantly replies, "Women don't reveal their ages."
Youssef stifles his laughter after hearing Lily's response, and she quickly turns towards him and asks,
"What's with you? Did you just crack a joke or something?"
Youssef turns back, saying, "Haha, look at yourself, old lady. Oh, nauseating."
The yelling erupts again between Lily and Youssef.
Lily responds angrily, "Who's the old lady here, you ugly-looking one? Oh my, your smell is atrocious."
Youssef retorts with frustration, "Haa, and I wonder who's the reason behind that?"
As they continue to yell at each other, Jacob stands there, visibly reaching his breaking point.
He suddenly shouts, "Stop it, idiots!"
Both fall silent for a moment, then in the blink of an eye, they both flee in opposite directions, trying to escape Jacob's wrath. However, Jacob raises his hands, showing the keys he took from Youssef.
Youssef freezes, realizing the dilemma he's in, and Jacob addresses Lily,
"Seems like someone might end up homeless on the street."
Lily, too, stops in her tracks, looking at Jacob.
He turns to face them both and stares intently, saying, "Let's get to work."
Lily takes a step towards Jacob, but he raises his voice, "Stop. Your tricks won't work now."
He stands tall, saying, "Come on, clean up this mess, or... you both might end up homeless outside."
Lily and Youssef exchange uncertain glances before looking at Jacob again.
Jacob points to the chaos in his house and says, "This mess. clean it up. Or... you'll both be homeless."
Youssef and Lily began cleaning up the mess while Jacob sat on the couch, silently observing them.
Occasionally, Jacob would give them instructions as they cleaned.
Time passed, and the clock struck midnight. Finally, they finished cleaning, their tiredness evident on their faces.
Jacob stood and applauded, saying, "Well done, workers. And now..."
Suddenly, the expressions on Youssef and Lily's faces changed as they stared at Jacob intently. "And now, what?" they both asked simultaneously. Jacob replied, "Now, it's time for sleep."
Both Lily and Youssef let out a sigh, signaling their fatigue.
They stood there, looking at Jacob, and asked, "And dinner?"
Jacob, walking toward Youssef, answered, "No dinner. Stick to the diet this night. Come on."
Jacob grabbed Youssef by the arm, then dragged him toward the door, throwing him outside and handing him his keys, saying, "Goodnight." He closed the door on Youssef.
Then he turned back to Lily, grabbed her arm, and tossed her into the bathroom, saying,
"I don't want the smell of trash in my house." He closed the bathroom door, leaving her there.
Jacob headed to the kitchen after thoroughly surveying his house.
He opened the fridge and took out the cheese. Holding it in his hand, he stared at it and mused,
"You're my happiness here." He took a bite with delight.
Youssef entered his house, placed his keys in their place, and quickly headed to the bathroom as well.
Under the warm water droplets and amidst the aroma of cocoa that filled both bathrooms, Youssef and Lily stood, each reminiscing about the other's gaze – those glances that ignited their hearts' fuse together.
