Reading the results of a research study, the article informed that brightly coloured swim trunks, yellow or orange in particular, created a visual contrast that sharks can more easily see in the water. The same day, I also read an article suggesting that parents should seek out brightly coloured swim trunks for their children so they are more visible in the water. A true damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation, and the inspiration for this comic.
