"Who are you?" Fire Jed asked the kid.
A child who was given off such a raw killing intent could only be possible if the child was a demon.
Alban touched his chest, "I am Alban, the King of Devils." He introduced.
"What the heck, bullshit! King of Devils? Are you trying to impersonate the Demon King?!" Tiger Claw snapped.
Before Tiger Claw could blink, the painful feeling of his neck being crushed prevented him from breathing. The devil was now gripping him by the throat tightly and giving off a deadly aura, "Watch what you say, human." the devil seethes.
"Now now, don't kill him just yet. If you do that we can't get what we came here for. Am I right, Rallmul?" Alban asked waving his finger back and forth.
Rallmul releases Tiger Claw and steps back to quickly bow to Alban, "Sorry, My Lord. I couldn't let that human trash speak to you that way." He says.
Alban clicks his tongue and his expression changed, "try not to act without my permission this time." He warns coldly.
"Yes!" Rallmul answers.
Devils, demons, and monsters don't go around taking orders from just anyone. Even if it was hard to believe, there was no other answer to the reason this devil bowed down to a child besides the fact that he was indeed the Demon King. If the Demon King was just born, that puts this child at the bottom of the ranks.
Even so, he still give off this terrifying aura that says that he was not someone who could be easily dealt with. "If it's only the treasury you're looking for, then I can lead you to it. But you have to agree to let us live." Fire Jed found himself saying.
Tiger Claw whipped his head toward him, "Boss!" He reacts.
Fire Jed glares at him, "shut up, if you don't want to die!" He snaps.
This was the surest way to keep them both from succumbing to the same deaths as the others. Tiger Claw pursed his lips but kept them shut. Alban crossed his arms, "Alright, I'll keep my word.." He adds.
Fire Jed had been a bandit for as long as he could remember. His life had been a series of events that put him and his people in danger. Each time he was able to surpass those events, but this time his luck may have changed. All he could do was agree to the demon child's commands. With that devil by his side, he won't be someone he can take down even if Tiger Claw also helped.
The two led them to the treasury hidden inside his hut. They had to move his throne off a hidden hatch to reveal the location. He pulled up the hatch and descended down to the bottom where all the treasures he stole were hidden.
"Look at that, it's more than I expected." Alban whistles, "do you guys have something I can put all this in?"
Fire Jed walked over to the east wall and opened a treasure chest. Inside, there were gold, gems, and more. Rummaging about, he pulled out a spatial sack. Using it, he swallowed up everything in that room.
"How handy!" Andy says happily.
"Here, now will you keep your part of the deal?" Fire Jed asked after passing over the spatial bag.
"Which one? Did we make a deal?" Alban asked with an innocent expression.
This demon! Was he not planning on letting them live? Alban noticed his tense expression and couldn't help but laugh out loud. When he was finished, Tiger Claw spoke, "you promised to let us go once we led you to the treasury, are you going to go back on it?" He asked.
Fire Jed clenched his fist, "Don't bother. It's clear that he played us." He says. It's their own fault but what other choice did they have?
"I think there is some kind of misunderstanding. I never agreed to let you go, I only agreed to let you live." Alban pointed out.
"This!" Tiger Claw was furious but Fire Jed stopped him from trying anything.
"No, he's right. Then what will you do with us?" He asked.
It's not like they had anywhere else to go. The entire bandit camp have been destroyed and revenge was not close to being possible. They were mere bandits who were criminals so going to a town will only have them captured and worse yet, executed.
"You will become my slaves. Hows that? Honestly, I could use a pair of sturdy hands. Perhaps, is there anything I can use to make sure you can't betray me?" Alban asked.
Enslavement? The idea was not as bad as being executed, but his pride may suffer. Dammit! Fire Jed pointed to the spatial bag, "there are enslavement collars in the bag." He says.
"How do I retrieve them?" Alban wondered.
After all, he's new to this world. Rallmul explained that once one thought of the object they wanted to take out of a spatial item, they could retrieve it.
Just like he instructed, Alban pulled out the slave collars in the spatial bag and placed them around their necks. A seal appeared from the collars, "now it's impossible for us to betray you, let alone, run away." Fire Jed says.
"How handy!" Alban says applauding.
"Alright! We seem to have everything here. Let's head back to the Demon's Territory." He says.
