Everything went smoothly through the day until night came. The silence was deafening so no one dares to leave their room until dawn cracked, except for one person.
"Your Holiness" Uriel's wing stood in front of her statue and bowed down for her, the statue glowed before Uriel came out and stared down at her wing, she could sense something wrong with her, so she stood there silently waiting for her to keep going.
"I apologize for my rudeness and intervening in your, holy Archangel's, matters, but I need to lighten you up on this point if I may" Uriel put a hand on her cheek and tapped her finger before she nodded her head, her Wing bowed deeply and took a deep breath before she rose abruptly, "I think we should keep Hun away from the temple until the priest leaves your holiness!"
"Why do you think so?" Her words came out coldly making her Wing flinch and bite her lip from nervousness.
"Th- The priest is quite the catch and all ladies talked about him, so he had a general idea of what the priest is like. So, what I'm trying to say is- Gasp!" Uriel's golden eyes were glowing with threads of black coming out of her pupils. Her face was dark and scary with a dark aura coming from behind her.
"So you want to tell me you're worried Hun might fall for his instincts and attack the handsome priest?"
"Ye- Yes, your holiness. It- It hasn't been long since he was stable. If his instincts get the best of him, then we can't have a promising future for the priest, especially when he's one of the promising candidates to become Archangel Michael's Wing" Uriel gave it a thought and considered the pros and cons of keeping Hun around, yet this matter was out of her control, "We can't"
"Pardon?" Her Wing halted before she glanced at her Archangel. She saw a troubled expression all through her face. A sense of guilt swept within her, how could she trouble her Archangel who did nothing but good ever since she became her Wing? Why did she even mention that? Was she worried about Hun? Or was it for someone else?
"I'm sorry your holiness, please forgive me for this mistake I made, I shall nay let that happen again" She fell on her knees and begged while slamming her head on the ground.
"It's ok God's child, it's ok. Nay shall thy be mad at thee. Thy care for us and Hun will forever be treasured in thy heart, so thee shall nay feel bad. Rise, Archangel Uriel's Wing, thee head shall remain high until thee last breath" Uriel smiled warmly at her before she went down to hug her.
No matter how long passes, every Wing she chooses makes her more and more proud, "I'm proud of you" she whispered before she faded away. Her Wing sat down on the ground, and warmth started to spread around her bringing her comfort, "I will do my best to not let you down" she smiled warmly before she stood from her place and walked back to her chamber to rest.
The next day, a carriage reached Uriel's temple's front gate. Once it stopped, Uriel's Wing walked down the stairs to welcome their guest.
The carriage's door opened and a tall man came out of it, he had a veil hiding his face and white gloves to hide his hands, but his body build can be viewed clearly under the clothes. Big hands, muscular arms, broad shoulders, and a big puffy chest.
It was clear as light the man took great care of himself which fits one of Michael Wing's requirements. Once Uriel's Wing reached him, he bowed down and she did too, "thank you for welcoming me, Wing of the gracious Archangel Uriel."
"The honor is ours, High Priest. Please, let me show you around."
The two walked around the temple and reached the main hall where Uriel's statue stood, "this is our Archangel's statue. Is there somewhere you want to check before we start with the questions?"
"Where is the sisters' chamber? I want to make sure I'm as far from there as possible" his words seemed normal to roll out of his mouth, but they had deeper meanings to them.
As a candidate to become Archangel Michael's Wing, he will do the impossible to avoid anything that might ruin his chance, and one of them is women. In his opinion, they are the source of man's ruin, women, money, and running after life's pleasure and own desires are the cause of human's distance from God, this is why his Archangels choose seven wings to guide humans to the right path.
"Hmm, it's in the west. Don't worry, your chamber is in the far East, but if you would like to, I can warn the sisters to avoid crossing paths with you through your stay?"
"Please don't, it's hard to do so since everyone is busy. The reason I asked is that I love to have a walk late at night when everyone is asleep and sometimes practice swordsmanship"
"Swordsmanship? In the 21st century? Is this a must until this day?"
"Yes, your holiness. It's required for everyone under Michael's Wings" Uriel's tilted her head and thought about it for moments before she finally let her guest leave for his chamber to rest.
She walked to her Archangel's statue and stared at it for a while, through that time, she kept wondering why she stopped training her Wings, what could the reason be? Did something wrong happen to one of the Wings? Or did Archangel Uriel herself desire peace for her children so she stopped training them?
Whatever the reasons were, it's her choice and as a Wing, she can do nothing but follow the orders and live her life until her time comes.
"Your holiness?" Hun appeared from behind and walked toward her slowly.
"Hu- Oriana? Is there something wrong?" Hun halted and lowered his head, Uriel's Wing caught the pain on his face and her heart squeezed, "I'm sorry, Hun, I didn't mean to hurt you like this. I-"
"It's ok, I need to get used to being called by my sister's name sooner or later" The Wing bit her lower lip and walked toward the hurt demon, she held him close to her heart to make him calm. Weirdly enough that method always makes him calm, she always asked him for the reason why but Hun would always change the subject, so she stopped asking, and just held him quietly until he was stable and calm again.
