Jesse grinned at her and slowly placed her shoes down next to him on the floor. "You really looked stunning this afternoon, I hope you know that." He placed his hands behind him on the bed as he took her in now, dressed in her more usual attire. He knew she deep down had a thing for dresses. "Maya wouldn't have been thrilled if she'd found the shoes." His wolf wanted to tear the damn clothes off of her body and Jesse felt his nails dig into the sheets behind him.

"Why am I here?" 

"And you're as blunt as always too." Jesse waved his hand, mentioning her over to him. When she didn't move he leaned forward and grabbed her wrist, pulling her closer. He made her stand still between his knees and his hands rested on her hips. "Haven't you figured out yet why you're here?" His fingers slipped underneath her shirt, stroking her lower abdomen. He watched Enora bite her bottom lip. "Well?" He stroked her again, circling her belly button. 

"I don't think I want to know," she said with a voice low in her throat.

"That I get but...it was this or nothing. You know that. If...you don't make it through this selection then I can't be with you." 

"I already said how big of a bullshit I think this is." She crossed her arms over her chest.

"And you know how much I agree with you, but after trying and fighting this will not be stopped." He grabbed her chin between his thumb and index finger, pulling her closer to his face. "This was the best solution I could come up with. I managed to get you on the list and give us a shot." He nipped at her bottom lip.

Enora let out a Yelp and she pushed at his shoulder. "You can't bite me," she said through clenched teeth. "They'll know I've been in here." 

"Isn't that fun?"

"You have weird ideas of fun, so no." She breathed out. "Jesse, I can't do this. I'm nothing like those other girls. Have you seen them? They're perfect...they're...I ditched my heels in a plant."

"I thought that was very funny. As long as you don't ditch your lingerie in plants then I'm all good. You can leave your lingerie here with me."

A fierce crimson appeared on her cheeks.

"You just have to get through this selection with my help and then this will all be over." He brushed his lips over hers and stood up, towering over her.

"I'm not sure if I can...I'm not like the others."

"True. You're better than them." He brushed some hair behind her ear. "And you have me to help you. Although we can't let anyone know that. You already did great today."

"It didn't feel like that."

"Find one of the other girls to help you out. Let them help you get better. And just don't get kicked out."

A knock on the door resonated. "Jesse?" Ethan's voice echoed through the door. "I need to talk to you real quickly."

"Hide in the bathroom and don't get caught." Jesse pushed her towards it with a kiss and when the door was closed he walked to the entrance, opening the door. "What is it?"

Ethan took a step forward to get in, but Jesse knew it would ruin Enora's chances in leaving. "Let's talk downstairs, I could use a midnight snack." He entered the hallway, closing his bedroom behind him and praying Enora would get safely to her room again without getting caught.
