Scene: On Canat, in Digonu, Gunther and his uncle Elias are 16 and standing in an auditorium listening to a man in uniform speak.
Teacher: All of you have recently turned 16, meaning the time to serve your kingdom as part of its armed forces has come. You are no longer children, you are men! And as men no greater honor can be bestowed upon you than this one. You will fight to serve and protect King Hallow from the forces of Kintenoken that wish to take us over, and you will help us in defeating them once and for all. Kintenoken is the last remaining opposing force on this planet, once we triumph over them we will bring everlasting peace to the world! There is no more noble cause than this, it is worth living and dying for!
Scene: Gunther and Elias are riding on a train back towards their home. Gunther is looking annoyed thinking about the speech they just heard.
Elias: Gunther, do you really think there'll be peace once Kintenoken is defeated?
Gunther: How could there be, Elias? What makes you think things will be any different from now just because Kintenoken is gone? Do you think there'll suddenly be equality? The government will give up its oppressive dictatorial rule? Laughs a bit but looks annoyed and says sarcastically I'm sure once King Hallow has absolute power he'll be much more charitable to his people. As if such a sentiment could be true for that man.
Elias: But we won't need a military if there's nobody to fight, will we?
Gunther: There will always be someone to fight as long as people are oppressed. Even now there are anti government factions that are trying to overthrow King Hallow. Without Kintenoken those factions will increase more and more until Digonu is ripped apart from the inside. The government has too much control over our lives to prevent the majority from continuing to support King Hallow, that's why those factions will never fully win out. They'll inevitably only help to continue the destruction of Canat.
Elias: Looking worried What if King Hallow died? Would things be better then?
Gunther: Someone else equally as despicable would no doubt take his place. Unless someone who is virtuous is chosen then the position will be filled by someone greedy and corrupt. Those are the sort of people who seek out power. Although sometimes they'll start out with good intentions, power itself will often be their corrupter.
Elias: Looking upset You make everything sound hopeless.
Gunther: A world without compassion, morality, and consideration for the welfare of society as a whole (and not just the individual) is indeed hopeless.
Action: The train is jerked to a stop and the lights turn off, with the emergency lights taking their place.
Overhead: Says in a friendly female voice We’re sorry for the inconvenience but all main power lines have been shut off for the time being. Please be patient during the black out.
Gunther: Looking out the window It’s the whole city this time.
Elias: Looking upset We could be stuck here for hours! What do you think caused it this time?
Gunther: Probably a vigilante group again. The military likes to do this to disorient them since only the military can utilize the emergency power lines.
Elias: Hitting the emergency exit Damn it, even the emergency exit won’t open!
Gunther: Come on, Elias. I don’t have the patience for this today.
Action: Gunther puts his hand on the door and it disappears.
Elias: Smiles nervously as he follows Gunther out I always forget you can do things like that…
Action: Elias and Gunther are walking in a bad part of town, where many of the buildings have been destroyed in street fights.
Elias: Looking concerned Gunther, where are we going? This neighborhood looks...questionable…
Gunther: Looking angry I’m going to put an end to this. I may have to wait for Nityasya to put an end to this wretched planet, but that doesn’t mean I can’t get rid of minor annoyances in the meantime.
Elias: G-Gunther, please don’t do anything that gets us into trouble… Dad is already mad at us for the last time you got into a fight.
Gunther: That vile man is your father, not mine.
Elias: Hurriedly getting in front of Gunther Please calm down, Gunther! A black out isn’t that big a deal, it happens all the time. Let’s just go home the usual way, okay?
Gunther: Gives Elias a sympathetic look before quickly pushing Elias behind him Stay back.
Fadel: Holding a gun at Elias and Gunther Stop! Who are you? How did you find this place?
Aaron: Ushering Fadel down Now, now Fadel, they’re just two lost underage citizens. This is free territory after all.
Fadel: Looking skeptical as he puts his gun down Yes... everybody is welcome here, so long as they’re against King Hallow.
Gunther: Looking annoyed Sounds like your freedom also comes with a price. Looks around And the reward for that price is...lacking at best.
Aaron: Frowning at Gunther Aren’t you sick of the King’s oppression? Soon you both will be forced into the military, you look like you’re about that age.
Gunther: Tomorrow, we’re to be forced into it tomorrow.
Elias: Well we had the initiation speech today….
Aaron: That’s perfect then! Join us and you won’t have to join the military and be one of King Hallow’s pawns.
Gunther: Says apathetically But wouldn’t we be more useful to your cause if we had military training?
Fadel: Still seeming skeptical of them Once you’re in the system it’s harder to leave. We can teach you everything you need to know, you don’t need to spend the next ten years of your life as the government’s slave to be of use to us.
Gunther: Looking around 3,4,7, 10…. There’s ten of you in this area.
Action: Aaron and Fadel look surprised he said that and look around to make sure the others haven’t revealed themselves.
Gunther: Looking Aaron straight in the eyes Several of them have guns pointed at our heads. I’d call you distrusting, but you are indeed right to do so as I am not your friend.
Aaron: Looking a bit scared Who….are you?
Action: Puffs of black dust start to rise up from the surrounding area, the communicators Aaron and Fadel have in their ears start to fritz out each time a puff of dust rises up. Several of the members try to come out of their hiding places and are visible for just a moment before turning to dust.
Fadel: What’s going on? Guyver? James? Moins?!?
Aaron: Looking at Gunther scared to death Did King Hallow send you here?
Gunther: Says coldly No, today is just the day of your karmic judgment.
Action: Aaron turns to dust, Fadel freaks out and shoots at Gunther several times and Gunther just sends the bullets back at Fadel, killing him with his own shots.
Elias: Looking freaked out as well D-did you just kill them all, Gunther?
Gunther: Turns around and starts walking the direction they came looking apathetic I removed them from this world, yes, but a soul cannot die. They just change forms. I know where their souls have been, and where they are going. They will be alright I assure you.
Elias: I feel like that’s a yes…
Action: The city’s power turns back on and Gunther looks up and sees a drone in the sky.
Gunther: Mumbling to himself Eyes everywhere…
Elias: Looking up and seeing the drone fly off Did the government see what happened? Is that why the power was turned back on?
Gunther: Looks in thought Yes… The drone must have followed us from the train...
Action: Gunther puts his hand up towards the drone and makes it turn to dust so that it can't spy on them anymore.
Gunther: Continues walking ahead Come on, Elias, let’s go home.
