Scene: Back with Damon and Gunther who are sitting on some scaffolding together overlooking the city. 

Gunther: Won't the child still be rejected by their society even if you altered their gender since people will remember him having been a boy? 

Damon: Says cheekily Memory is a funny thing, and very easily forgotten. 

Gunther: Sighs You're always so meddlesome in the lives of mortals. Just don't exceed your bounds before the judgment. You must decide based on what the people of this world have earned, and not by what you personally want. 

Damon: Looks serious I know. 

Gunther: Why are you here in that form? Are you still avoiding Canat in your judgment body because of being one of the Aderyst race? Or is there some other reason? 

Damon: Hesitates There's been an incident with my other body… It was cursed by Rajani due to the issue with her planet. I can't freely use my energy in that form now 

Gunther: Sounding a bit annoyed Thus limiting your power and making it so you can't come here… 

Damon: Yes, you're going to need to go to Earth and break the curse on me before I can come here in that body. 

Gunther: Laughs a bit How troublesome. Should we do it now then? 

Damon: No, I have an idea for something else I'd like you to do first on Canat.

Gunther: Looks curious Something else? 

Damon: Yes, I'll tell you after though. For now I am using this body to relay information to myself as Draco, and I'd like to- 

Gunther: See the brothels and treatment of women in Digonu? 

Damon: Exactly. 

Gunther: Smiles to himself a bit as he gets ready to go All right, I’ll indulge you. 

Scene: Gunther and Damon are walking through a business district and come to a group of buildings that have pictures of women in the window. 

Gunther: Curfew is at 10, that's when everything closes in the kingdom. Only the military is allowed in the streets after that. 

Damon: We haven't much time then. Looking at the window and seeing the pictures What are these? 

Gunther: Pointing to one of the images When a girl turns 16 she comes to one of these "brothels" to live. At 25 all men are expected to come to one of these establishments to pick a wife, and then provide Digonu with more soldiers by procreating with her. 

Damon: Looks a bit disturbed by that Is marriage all that is expected from these girls or… are they expected to provide other services? 

Gunther: Some of the establishments do expect other services, but not all.

Damon: How is it decided which establishment a girl is sent to? 

Gunther: Taps the glass Family name, the better position the girl's family is in with King Hallow the better the establishment she'll be sent to. 

Damon: So the girls maintain their family connection? 

Gunther: Only the girls from family's of good standing. Most are like the girls here, where their family is no longer a part of their life. 

Damon: Looking the building over Can we go in? 

Gunther: Opening the door It seems to still be open.

Action: Damon and Gunther are met by an older woman at the front desk. 

Rosario: Smoking and says with a droll Purple skin? Now that's a first. Do you have an appointment? 

Damon: No, we've just come for educational purposes. 

Rosario: About chokes on her cigarette Educational purposes? You're definitely not from Digonu. Are you looking for a wife or a fun time? 

Damon: Smiles awkwardly As I said, it's purely educational. 

Gunther: Says teasingly Besides, this guy has more than enough wives.

Damon: Looking embarrassed Gunther, please… 

Rosario: Grabs her keys and shuffles ahead of them Come on then, it's near closing time so you better get your "education" in fast. 

Damon: Ma'am, if I may ask, what happens if a girl doesn't get picked for marriage? 

Rosario: Grunts a bit Oh yeah, that happens a lot. Girl gets long in the tooth, looks start to go, nobody wants her. She gets farmed out to odd jobs throughout the city. There's homes for those girls. The homes get the money the girls make, and use that to feed and house them. 

Damon: Are the homes… comfortable? 

Rosario: They keep the girls alive, but I wouldn't give them more credit than that.

Gunther: Do any of the girls manage to leave Digonu and live in Kintenoken instead? 

Rosario: Laughs dryly at that Maybe some have made it, but there's a lot of dead bodies from ones who’ve tried and failed. The government has eyes everywhere, and there's nothing they want less than people escaping to Kintenoken. 

Damon: Smiles nervously I imagine that would be a concern for them after how Kintenoken came about… 

Action: Rosario unlocks a door and let's them in. They see a row of small rooms tightly packed together with glass doors (so people can see in). Each room is decorated in a way to attract attention. On the outside of the door there's an image of a girl with a list of her skills and qualities.

Rosario: Don't worry, the walls are soundproof so they can't hear us, and we don't have to hear them. 

Damon: Looking disturbed Do they live in these rooms? 

Rosario: Laughs dryly Where else are they gonna go? We slip them some food through the door everyday, twice a day, and they're as happy as can be. 

Gunther: Looking around seeming angry As if any happiness could be derived from such a situation. 

Action: Damon puts his hand on Gunther's shoulder in a calming manner as he speaks to Rosario. 

Damon: Are the girls allowed to leave their rooms? 

Rosario: Sure, there's a bell they can ring to use the washroom. If you mean outside then no, we don't want them to wander. 

Action: Damon looks pained by that and glances into one of the girl's room, she looks him straight in the eyes with tears running down her face and mouths help me to him. 

Damon: Looks away and tips his hat down seeming shaken We should go, it's almost curfew. 

Action: They can hear a siren going off outside. 

Gunther: Yeah, there's the half hour warning siren.
