GRAND LAW - The Key Role (3)

GRAND LAW - The Key Role (3)

Aug 23, 2023

"And for your note, the grand laws 'emerged' from some of these cultivators!"

"... Say what?!", I flinched again and yelled in anticipation, "Please continue!!!!"

He continued, "The cultivators put an end to this game of those fake gods. But, the case was not the same everywhere. Cultivators whose powers weren't strong enough to suppress the blessed entities died. There were still seven million worlds that still remained under the rule of the fake gods. If we were to eliminate the fake gods, beings who received their boon would cease to exist. And we can not afford to lose five hundred trillion souls!"

[The count is way too overwhelming.]

I interrupted, "Five hundred trillion in the sense, all the infinitos, the living and the dead combined together?"

"Yes...!", answered the dark reigner.

[If it was all three realms combined, then it makes sense.]

"So a few days later, Kriassilis came up with a solution.

[Here comes the smartest being of all three realms]

He came up with a new game that would end the game of the fake gods and called it 'The Peak'. The ridiculous name was decided in that way because the true goal of the cultivators was to become the peak of existence and reign supreme over others. He then began to use terms like the inner gods and then irrelevant phrases like levels, stats and whatnot. Both I and Martha were dumbfounded by his exaggeration.

[Back on earth, I used to read asian comics where a character gets an artificial assistant or a systematic chip that would help him become stronger. Was it like that?]

He then gave us two capsules. I and Martha both swallowed each. All of a sudden, the literature of our language started being displayed in front of us in a translucent square tab. I and Martha were caught off-guard. But, we weren't able to see the tabs of one another. The tab in front of my eyes displayed all my authorities and sovereignties in order. The display even showed my level and stats!"

In between his explanation, I talked to myself a few times. Now that dark reigner mentioned about his inner traits being displayed, I writhed in agony to know them and asked, "What numbers did they display?!"

And he said while smirking, "Apart from words and tabular columns, there weren't any numbers. Every column displayed the infinite symbol that is bi-petal patterned, including my level!"

[... Why use a huge sentence? That was a one-word question. Can't you just say the word infinite?]

The system could not calculate the dark reigner's innate domain. The count must have surpassed even a trillion constants for being unable to display a number. Dark reigner changed back his expression and continued, "But, I felt uncomfortable with the floating tab blocking my view. Wherever I looked, the tabs displayed details of even silly objects like spoons and utensils. I and Martha got sick of it and yelled at Kriassilis to make certain improvements and to change the name of inner god. We erased the inner god inside our heads out of irritation.

[Are they referring to the system as the inner god?]

Kriassilis returned after two weeks. We still felt the same, but it was better than before. The tabs were displaying permission to inquire about the surrounding environment or a single target. He changed the inner gods' term into a simple term called 'System'. I permitted him to move forward with 'The Peak'. Martha also granted him to carry on. Observers were tasked to give the capsules to the cultivators. We decided to assist the cultivators in growing their powers rapidly with the system's help. The cultivators were persuaded to accept our gift and to join in 'The Peak'!"

I interrupted, "Persuaded in the sense, how?!"

He continued, "We told them about the system's main purpose and the truth behind the fake gods. We told them that the fake gods would come again if nothing is to be taken care of. We also elaborated on why we cannot involve ourselves or eliminate the fake gods directly. After listening to everything, the cultivators had no choice but to join 'The Peak'.
Later, the cultivators who became chosen were sent to other worlds to fight the people misled by the fake gods. With the help of the system, they were able to grow rapidly and the game of the fake gods turned into an advantage. The escapees, who lost their authorities, surrendered of their own accord. It was all thanks to Kriassilis's proposal.
I and Martha left the authority of spectating the game to Kriassilis. In a thousand years, we got back the authority of most of the worlds. The escapees whom we termed fake gods either surrendered or ended up dead while trying to mutiny. Only a hundred thousand worlds remained. I and Martha gave an alias to Kriassilis for his hard work over these past thousand years. We aliased him the 'Warlord Nemesis'.

But suddenly, the game progressed rapidly compared to before. That day, we witnessed three cultivators who were higher-level fighters in 'The Peak'. They formed a gang and called themselves 'Grand laws'.

Their gang leader was a male infinito who was a human and became an apex martial artist. What's more shocking was that he killed twenty-three fake gods, I mean escapees, who were all mutant asymmetrons. The second one was a female elf who killed seventeen fake gods that were either crooks or mutant asymmetrons, she was a living goddess. The third person was a half-breed of a male human and a female fairy and was a dweller of the afterlife who killed thirty fake gods that were all crooks. The three of them met each other while clearing quests in 'The Peak'!"

I began to feel dizzy with the long-term explanation and dark reigner electrocuted me with his authority to snap me out of the dizziness.

---crackle---

"I am sorry, I won't sleep again!!!!", I apologized to him while yelling in pain. I didn't even move an inch for even two seconds. It was obvious that I would feel sleepy while listening to such lengthy lectures without a gap. I requested, "Can you please try to interact with me at least once in a while? That would keep me active!"

He responded, "You deviated from the main topic whenever I interacted with you in between the elaborations!"

[... True, I failed to overcome my curiosity several times. But that is what pushed me past the limits of common knowledge. So, let's regret it for another day.]

Dark reigner smiled at me. He must have read my mind again. I asked him to continue. But this time I decided to interact with a different approach. I asked, "Can you please, continue reading my mind during your explanation?!"

He responded, "Sure!"

"Please carry on...!", I said.

The elaboration started, "The infinito in the Grand laws trio was a cultivator who reached the darkened violet flames stage without anyone's assistant. Right after he joined 'The Peak', he broke through the darkened light flames stage where all seven flames harmonized into one and later began to use his powers more efficiently!"

[Does that mean he was just a stage below you?]

"My darkened crimson flames can kill a hundred thousand mutant asymmetrons without even a drop of sweat. Don't compare my sovereignty with cultivation!"

[What's the difference between sovereignty and cultivation?]

"We origin entities, developed our powers by reigning over many dimensions and gaining our own authorities in that journey. As dwellers began to fall under our authorities, our powers also increased. That is nowhere near cultivation where you steal the fruits of creation's labour!"

[Yeah, if I consider nature energy, then it sure is the fruit of creation's labour.]

"Ahem, what you should keep in mind is that even if a cultivator achieves the darkened light flames stage, he would at most be as powerful as my darkened crimson flames sovereignty!"

[Using power through sovereignty is completely different from using power through one's own might, huh?]

"Well, yes.

The living female elf was a warrior who ascended to heaven before she even died. And the crossbreed was a genius who excelled in necromancy and weapon combat. He was killed by his own peers when he was alive!"

[How can you consider necromancy as cultivation? Isn't that sorcery?]

"You are right. But that crossbreed was special. He was a dark sorcerer and a martial artist with excellent weapon skills before his death. His peers saw him as a threat and backstabbed him. Later, in the afterlife, he gained insight into the living and the dead. Using his insight, he created his own martial arts namely 'Divine Demonic Reign'.

He used the rotten souls in hell as elixirs by absorbing their dark red karma. He was able to create skeleton soldiers and liches with his internal energy and was also able to share his consciousness with those pawns!"

[... This doesn't make any sense. How can sharing one's consciousness with others not be counted as sorcery?]

"It was one of the techniques in his divine demonic reign. He developed internal telekinesis in which he was able to talk through his mind and also able to pressure his target. With his internal telekinesis, he was able to control a hundred weapons in mid-air. He called his weapon technique the 'Death lord's supremacy'. After joining 'The Peak', he killed and absorbed the life force of all his foes and devoured the powers of the crooks that he killed for his cultivation growth. He reminded both me and Martha, the early-stage Kriassilis who was still creating his own sovereignty and gaining authority. At that time, Kriassilis felt embarrassed when we both looked at him. He was like 'What? Why are you looking at me?'. Hahaha...!"

[... Reminded of the past Kriassilis? Doesn't that mean the third grand law was just like Kriassilis? Don't tell me.]

"Yes, you are right. The grand laws were the people whom we later chose as our successors...!"

[There's no wonder in him telling me that I was about to inherit his power.]
