Cordelia strolls the empty corridors of Evergreen Abode slowly and quietly. And soon she realizes that it’s already dawning...
Since there is no reason for her to try and go back to sleep, Cordelia decides to visit a secluded spot where she can see the rising sun.
Surprisingly, she runs into a familiar figure, who also seems awake despite the early hours.
“Camelia...”
“Oh, Corry... Are you up too?” Cordelia’s blonde and cheerful friend isn't as energetic as usual. But it’s not like she looks sad or troubled...
Instead, it’s like she has a serene air about her.
Camelia steps beside Cordelia and hooks their arms. Then she even guides her to the balcony where they can watch the sunrise.
“Uhm... I should ask the same... What are you doing here at this time?” Cordelia finally replies.
“Haha... well, I’m kind of an early bird. But you seem kind of... sick...” Camelia says with a chuckle, and then her voice turns concerned.
And Cordelia unconsciously turns away, hiding her face.
“A-ah... I...” she almost tells the truth “It’s nothing. I just had a hard time sleeping beside Selena...” but she lies in the end...
“Haha... I should have known. She tosses and turns like a little monster while asleep.”
“Nmmm...”
“Hehe... well, I’m happy to have your company,” Camelia adds while nudging Cordelia’s shoulder. That finally makes a smile flicker through the older witch’s face.
Then they watch the sunrise in comfortable silence.
“You seem in a much better mood than me, Camelia.” Cordelia starts chatting only on their way back to their bedroom.
She's been watching the other witch sway on her legs and glancing around with amusement...
“Hmmm?” that finally makes Camelia stop fidgeting. “Haha... I guess so...” I’m relieved that Bastion managed to handle Selene’s problem yesterday.”
“There is no way I could feel relaxed while any of my friends are troubled. You are all really important to me.” Camelia chirps, slowly returning to her usual chatty self.
The girl is sweet, but Cordelia tunes out halfway through her answer. And her mood plummets again...
While Camelia and Selene seem relieved now, Cordelia has different feelings.
She was there when Bastion talked with the leaders... and she remembers how pissed Razran looked.
A little hint if you played Reimei no Gakuen, or want to read more stories from this world... Remember these names :3
Some of these people are important not only in Corry's backstory. They are also relevant to Sheryl and the others. You might have even heard one of these names somewhere before...
The Three Witches is a Prequel to Reimei no Gakuen, a fantasy visual novel released not long ago by me ;D
You can read The Three Witches separately. I've written it in a way so that you don't need to play the game first. But if you want to know the full story... how it continues, check out Reimei no Gakuen.

This one will tell the background stories of the antagonists, and it's set years before the main story. Prepare for magic, love, and angst! Remember... this isn't a light-hearted fairy tale.
