How annoying. Alban frowned at the large lizard standing on all fours before them, "woah, what is it?" Urayama asked with interest.
While poisons aren't something he was worried about, it's the fact that its a very annoying monster that he seen in the video games back on earth. Judging by its dark red skin and purple tongue, it's definitely the kind he thought it was.
"Don't you think it looks cool? What kind of lizard is it? So big!! I wonder how strong it is!" Urayama had eyes filled with stars. She's enjoying this moment way too much. Alban drew his short sword and took a fighting stance, whatever. It's either kill or be killed. Only problem was the fire poison that lizard spews, it's going to be a headache.
"Stop playing around. We have to get rid of that lizard before it uses 'that' skill!" Alban snaps at Urayama who was still zoned out.
She looked at him with a curious stare, "you know what kind of lizard that is? Aren't you a newly formed Demon King?" She asked.
"Yeah, but a lizard like this pops up in books a lot where I came from." He says.
"So, what is it?" She asked.
"Can you focus? It's a good thing that it seems to be accessing us, or else we'd be dead by now!" Alban snapped again. He's beginning to feel irritated from the situation.
Urayama pouts, she only wanted to know what kind of monster she was up against. Looks like he's throwing a tantrum. Should she tell Tahara to prepare a snack for when they get back? After accessing them, the monster was starting it's first attack. It was too late to stop this one.
"Whatever you do, dodge!" Alban yelled in Urayama's direction.
Just as he had expected, the mouth of the lizard opened and out came a red fireball. It looked like flame, but it's actually a ball of poison. It's not hot, but it's deadly.
"Did that lizard just spit out a fireball? Is it a type of dragon?" She asked with a shocked expression.
'I guess you can call it a dragon, since the name of the lizard happens to end with dragon." Alban says. Something like this monster shouldn't be in a F-ranked dungeon. Because the name of the monster was given to it for a reason.
"I'm even more curious now, just what on Earth is it?"
Alban gripped the handle of his short sword. Well, it's better for him because if he can kill it, not only will he evolve, but he'll even surpass the level of a normal demon king. Too bad it's not a complete dragon, but a Poisonous Dragonewt. A creature rumored to be direct descendants of dragons, but it's only a rumor.
Still, it's a lot for him to handle, who's only at level eighteen.
"Don't tell me, is it seriously a dragon?!" Urayama asked steam practically coming out of her nose.
"It's a Dragonewt. A C-ranked one at that. Not a dragon but it has all the features of a dragon with slight differences. This Poisonous Dragonewt doesn't have wings, also it's level is way too low to be a dragon, but high enough to be a nuisance. He's basically a giant lizard who can spew out poison that people mistake as fire." Alban explains.
"So, it's not a dragon?" She sounded a bit too disappointed.
"It's not. We should take it from both sides. Urayama, you take it's left side, I take its right." Alban ordered.
"Can't I just kill it?" She asked.
Alban gave her a deathly glare that made her seal her mouth shut, "got it, I'll keep my promise." She says.
What a scary kid. How on Earth did he manage to become a newborn Demon King. Was he a criminal in his past life or something? Alban sneezed, when he looked back at her suspiciously, Urayama quickly looked away. He didn't read her thoughts, did he?
"Let's get this over with, the faster, the better." Alban says.
Any longer with that crazed battle junkie and he may have to summon a new hero. The battle with the lizard was just as tough as he expected. The monster's fire poison almost killed him several times, but Urayama blocked each one according to his orders. His first battle experience had him realize that he was weaker than he had thought.
It took almost the entire day to kill the lizard, the evolution was a success but his state of mind was a mess.
"Shall we head back to check you profile, My Lord?" Urayama asked while cutting the lizard into sections as Alban ordered.
Alban had his mind elsewhere. After evolving Urayama said his height didn't change and he still looked the same. The only difference was the huge hike in mana and it was overwhelmingly impossible to bare. It's taking all of her willpower not to feel frightened by his mana pouring out from his body.
"Don't you think it would be best to suck all that in? You're a walking time bomb that could cause a problem." She says.
Alban concentrated on pulling his mana into one place, his heart. According to Rallmul, it was the best place to put it without it becoming a problem for a Demon. Later on, he'll figure out a more stable place to gather all his mana. He then looked at Urayama, "are we done here, yet? I'm starved."
She was putting the last piece of the monster into the spatial bag she has been carrying on her person, "mm. Let's go home. I'm sure that devil is worried sick about you." Thinking about it makes her shiver.
Urayama glanced at Demon King Alban, but this person had gotten a lot more scarier than that devil bastard. In the future, who's to say how much more powerful this person will become. Should she stop playing around and properly treat him as the king he is? Or should she wait to be sure that a kid can back up that amazing summoning ability that he has?
Only time will tell.
