Who-?

I jolt upwards and gape at Ryu. My head was in his lap.

My face is bright red, and my ears burn. I try to apologize, but I'm far too flustered to even get a word out.

Ryu chuckles and shrugs. 

"So I was doing some thinking while you were..." he motions at his lap. "I know how to get information about these... glitches."

I frown. "Are you sure you know what you're doing?"

"Nope!" He grins, and I find it way too adorable.

"Okay, so what's the plan?"

"We talk to Andre!"

I blink. "You mean... the dragon god? God of Dragons? Destroyer of Islands? Melter of Faces? THAT Andre?"

"That's the one!" Ryu smiles and nods.

Oh, Goddess, give me strength.

"So your plan is a suicide mission?!" I screech.

Ryu winces. "Not exactly."

"Well then, what EXACTLY is it?!"

I breathe heavily. I've never gone outside of Lorden, and this village is tiny. How does he expect us to go to the capital of Galdurland?

I sigh.

"I'm sorry, I just-"

"No, there's no need to be sorry. I understand." He pauses. "I think."

I snort and then burst into giggles.

Ryu looks confused and slightly concerned at first but soon joins in.

This is all so ridiculous--finding a dragon god, leaving Lorden... It's like some crazy dream.

But it isn't. And that hit me harder than I thought it would.

Tears streak down my cheeks and my laughter turns into sobbing. 

I'm just a farmer, not some hero. I'm not even a witch or an elf!

I sniff and wipe my face with my hands. It doesn't do much to help with the cleanness factor, but at the moment, that's the least of my worries.

After all, we're going to find a dragon god.
