Morning arrived, and warm rays bathed the village. Henry's eyes blinked as he awoke. The morning air greeted him as he stepped outside his tiny home, walking towards the village walls where numerous cattle resided. Henry noticed something was amiss in front of him.
"Was that mountain like that before?" he wondered aloud as he called the cattle and fed them.
His morning routine brought him joy, as the cattle he cared for were friendly. But the atmosphere quickly shifted as a mysteriously familiar voice made him shiver.
"Henry Botch," said the person.
Henry turned to see someone he had recently met.
"Oh, Alexander; what brings you back here?" Henry wondered how Alexander knew his name.
"I returned because the village chief mentioned your name," Alexander replied. He cast a final glance at Henry before continuing.
"And it appears you are acquainted with Anastasia Botch."
Henry stammered in his reply, "How did you know my sister?"
"An acquaintance," Alexander replied calmly. "I'm here solely to convey a message from her: 'Visit my brother and let him know I've found a place to call my future, our future.' Excuse me, but I no longer have a reason to stay here."
Just as Alexander disappeared once again into thin air, Henry quickly grabbed his hand, preventing his departure.
"What about the story the chief told? Was it all a lie?"
"All of it is true, except for one thing. I am only following orders from... Her," Alexander showed signs of slight embarrassment. "Also, you might want to go to the gates."
Alexander then disappeared.
Outside the village, Henry, once again clueless about the situation, quickly understood Alexander's words.
He rushed to the gates, nothing could deter his actions as he passed through the crowd. He saw Alexander almost outside the gates, receiving cheers from the crowd.
He ran to Alexander, but his approach was interrupted.
"I am here today to take my leave," Alexander announced, leading to cheers mixed with slight worry and confusion from the villagers.
"Alexander's leaving already? He just arrived yesterday," the villagers murmured, puzzled. But the confusion was halted as Alexander spoke once again.
"I apologize for my sudden departure, for our king has summoned me. But I will not leave amidst this confusion." Alexander reached into his pockets, producing a glove that glowed momentarily, temporarily blinding those who saw it. It was a golden glove that Alexander then donned.
"This glove was a gift from the king, and as promised, I will show this village a sight they won't witness again in their lifetime." He assumed a stance, while Henry, who was close to him, prepared himself, as he already knew what was coming. Instead of facing forward, Alexander aimed at the skies, and then... BANG!!!
A deafening silence followed that loud noise, as if the crowd had been petrified by what they had just witnessed. The village experienced a sudden change in temperature, with all shadows affected by the intense light that was revealed.
Henry was the first to notice what Alexander had done. He looked up and saw a majestic phenomenon; the clouds split, and he pointed at them. The villagers saw Henry's hand, and they also witnessed the clouds splitting into clusters.
That was the last they would see of Alexander as he once again disappeared into thin air...
