"Ooh, can we burn some lavender incense? I heard it's good for relaxation and concentration. Maybe it will even chase away the witch!"
As Li Na and Ning Yu were laughing, Xiao Mei watched from a distance, her eyes narrowed with hatred. She knew she had to do something to get back at Li Na, who had ruined her reputation in school.
As she sat there, she noticed a group of boys laughing and joking in the corner. One of them caught her eye, and she recognized him as a notorious troublemaker. With a sly grin, she walked over to him and whispered something in his ear. He nodded, and they both left the room.
Meanwhile, Li Na and Ning Yu were deep in their studies when they heard a commotion outside. They looked out the window to see a group of boys walking in their direction.
Their leader, Xi Bingchao, accused Li Na and Ning Yu of stealing from him and pointed his finger at them. He stated that he will not let it go until they pay up.
Li Na rolled her eyes and turned to Ning Yu with a smirk, "What does he think we stole? His pocket change?" She couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.
Ning Yu giggled, "Maybe he thinks we're running a secret casino in our spare time."
Xi Bingchao's face turned red with anger as he stepped closer to the girls, "Don't think you can just laugh this off! We know it was you!"
Li Na stood up, despite the fact that Xu Bingchao towered over her petite frame. She looked him straight in the eye "And I'm telling you, it wasn't us. Maybe you should try looking somewhere else instead of harassing innocent people."
Ning Yu stood up as well, "Yeah, go find your money somewhere else. We have better things to do than deal with your nonsense."
Xi Bingchao couldn't take the insult because he had a reputation to uphold, so he said "I usually don't beat girls, but I can make an exception for both of you."
Li Na raised an eyebrow and scoffed at Xi Bingchao's words. "Typical cowardly behavior from someone who knows he can't win a fair fight," she retorted, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
Ning Yu couldn't help but let out a chuckle at Li Na's response. "You're right, Li Na," she said, grinning. "He's probably just scared we'll beat him up instead."
Xi Bingchao's face turned red with anger at their words, but before he could say anything else, Mrs. Huo walked into the classroom. "What is going on here?" She asked sternly.
Li Na did not hesitate to tell Mrs. Huo of what had occurred.
Mrs. Huo reprimanded the boys and told them to follow her to the office.
The boys followed Mrs. Huo to her office, looking guilty. As they entered the office, Mrs. Huo closed the door behind them and gave them a stern look.
She said to them, "What you did was completely unacceptable. You cannot just accuse someone without any evidence. And you definitely cannot threaten or harm someone just because they are girls."
Mrs. Huo continued, "I will not tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment in this school. You all will be punished for your behavior."
As they sat down at their desks, Ning Yu couldn't help but let out a giggle at the thought of those boys. "Can you believe the nerve of those guys?" she said to Li Na.
As Ning Yu rolled her eyes, she quipped, "Maybe they mistook us for some other girls who are interested in their dirty money."
Li Na nodded in agreement, "I mean, why would we steal their money? We have better things to do than engage in petty theft."
Just then, they overheard Xi Bingchao's voice outside their classroom, "You two better watch your backs. We'll be seeing you again soon."
Ning Yu thought to herself, "Great more enemies!"
She told Xu Bingchao, "Are you sure you don't have a crush on us? Is that why you chose us? That only works in movies."
Li Na stifled a laugh at Ning Yu's remark, but couldn't help feeling a little uneasy about the situation. She glared at Xi Bingchao, "You really need to find a new hobby, Xi Bingchao. This whole 'intimidating girls' thing is getting old."
