More than a week had passed since Gareicht first met Ellava but he realized that he still hadn't looked around the place.
"Ellava," He called her over to him.
"What is it?" She asked, getting up from the organ she was playing.
"Do you mind if I look around the cathedral?"
"You don't have to ask, feel free to do so." She smiled.
"Well I was checking to see if there were any rooms off-limits or anything."
"Well there is one room that is like that, but I misplaced the key somewhere, while you're looking around if you happen to see the missing key, can you bring it to me please?"
"Of course." He left the ground floor, and went upstairs to the second floor, he already knew the layout of the second floor. The kitchen/dining area was to the far right, the bedrooms were straight ahead of him, to his left was the 'waiting room' with the bath area passed that, and there was a case of stairs next to them. He headed up the third floor, and saw there were only three more doors. There were two big bedrooms, he had wondered why Ellava was not in one of them to be honest, they look at lot more comfortable than the one she was currently rooming in. To the other side of the floor was a large library, there were several stacks of books lined to and fro, with a reading area by the door. He looked at the books aligned on the shelf, they were all in Elven, so he couldn't read them. He had hoped there was at least one in the universal language, but he figured that perhaps these books and this cathedral were all established before the universal language came in to play since it is still fairly young, no more than 500 years old. As he walked he noticed something sparkle in his eyes, he looked up, it was coming from the top of the bookshelf. He reached for it, and it was a key, probably the missing key.
"How'd it get all the way up here?" He raised an eyebrow and then figured Ellava probably tripped which made the key fly up, he laughed a little. He saw another staircase outside so he held onto the key for now. And went up to the fourth floor. The hallway was less spacious than the last, he tried the first door, and he saw what looked to be a nursery.
"Was this a nursery for sick and abandoned children?" He wondered, and looked around, the room was quite dusty, which was surprising since Ellava is always cleaning.
"Does this place bring bad memories? I never see her go passed the third floor." He looked at the dusty toys, the dusty beds, and things that just weren't in very good shape. Other than it just being odd for it to be dirty, he didn't notice anything else really significant. He left the room, and went into the next, the room was about the same size, but it seemed to be for older kids than a nursery. He didn't see anything else here of significance either. It was the last door and it was locked.
"So this must be the key to the room, hm?" He looked down at the key he put in his pocket. He was about to put the key in the lock but stopped himself.
"Should I really be doing this...?" He thought about what sort of private manners he might be getting himself into, after cocking his head to the side, he added, "Well she told me to bring the key back to her, but she didn't say I couldn't go inside."
He felt a small mental battle between guilt and curiosity, and that's when he decided to unlock the door and go inside.

Ellava looked up from her organ, letting go of the keys.
"I wonder if he's having fun? I'll go check on him. If not maybe we'll find the key together."
She walked up to the second floor, no sign of him, she went up the third, and no sign of him there either, once she was on the fourth floor, she saw him go into the locked up room. "Gareicht wait!"
"Oh it's an attic." He went up the few steps that were there and saw something at the far back of the room, but he couldn't make it out. He walked closer, and then he stopped, feeling his heart.
"What the." He uttered and then blood splattered from his mouth, as Ellava came running up to him.
"Gareicht!" She was about to heal him when she looked up, saw what was over there and then screamed.
In Gareicht's last breath, he saw her vanish before his eyes.
[BAD END: Skeleton's Closet.]---Continue...?
Gareicht was in front of the locked room, he glanced at the key and put it back in his pocket. He felt like his heart was burning as if something just pierced through it.
"I shouldn't go in there without her permission. Why do I feel like this is déjà vu though?" He walked towards the stairs when he saw Ellava coming up them.
"Gareicht!" She smiled.
He came up closer to her, a big grin on his face, as he was holding the key in front of her eyes.
"Lookie here at what I found."
"You found the key." She was surprised, "Thank you."
"Yep, guess where I found it."
"I don't know. It could've been anywhere honestly."
"Say, how often do you trip?" He began to tease her.
"I-I'm not that clumsy." Her face was red and she averted her gaze.
"So that often ey? Anyway, I was at the library and it was on top of one of the bookshelves." The farther they were away from the locked room, the less his heart felt like it was being stabbed. It gave him a bad feeling, but he ignored it as they continued to walk and chatter.
As they were walking towards the second floor's stairs, her almost tripping once along the way, Gareicht caught her and gave her a teasing smile, Are you sure you're not clumsy?
"I'm glad that you didn't go in there. Thank you." She smiled.
"Can I ask why it's locked off though?"
"It's just a feeling, but something tells me not to go in there. As if a part of me will disappear and be forgotten." The way the light from outside illuminated her, it made it seem as if she was about to.
"What is it with you and disappearing?" He clicked his tongue, and pat her head.
Ellava gave no answer, but she just smiled.
"Can I...ask you something?" Ellava asked, she seemed a bit nervous.
What kind of question is she thinking? He wondered, "Ask away."
"Be honest...Gareicht...do you pity me?"
