There are fifteen days till the end of the current main quest.

 Alex was asleep on a cot in one of the offices. 

*Tap* *Tap*

A knock came at the door. It was soft and gentle. This caused Alex to stir, and he slowly arose from his cot and opened the door. The door opened to reveal to young and familiar faces, it was Molly and Ellis.

"What’s up?" Alex asked as he yawned.

The two spoke fast and their words overlapped each other, leaving just a garbled mess of noise. Alex sighed, these two would never change. But still he had grown fond of both of them.

Alex spoke

"One at a time, Molly you first"

"While we were out scouting for food and supplies we spotted a large monster. It was just north of here!" Molly replied with panic seeping into her voice.

“How close was it?" Alex asked.

“Maybe a day or two it was far off, but it was moving” Molly answered

“In that case we should be fine for now, but we’ll keep an eye on it.” Alex replied then addressed Ellis

“Ellis it’s your turn”

"We spotted people, they were well armed and heading this way. They had sky serpents with them." Ellis responded with his voice trembling slightly.

"Coming from which direction?”

Alex questioned

“South, they were headed this way”

Ellis replied

“How long will it take them to reach us?” Alex asked

“Within the hour, I think”

*DING*

Participants: Alex Joseph (Wonders of Wildlife), Elliot White (Silver Dollar city).

Alex sighed

“Ok, Ellis go round up the forces. We need to be prepared.”

“Alright, I’ll go as fast as I can.” Ellis said.

It didn’t take long for everyone to assemble in the main lobby. Each wearing gear of varying rarity. There were people of many different ages, children and adults stood side by side as fellow soldiers.

Time began to pass as they waited for the first signs of the enemy. An hour turned into two, two hours became five, and five became eight. As the time passed more and more people began to leave. Either retiring to their rooms or deciding to patrol the building. Few remained, Alex estimated about fifty of his soldiers had stayed.

A quiet hush filled the room, it was like all the sound in the world was removed. No birds chirping, no sounds from vehicles, even the occasional sound of monsters had vanished.

A roar shook the building, Alex’s blood ran cold.

Cracks began to form in the south facing wall. It collapsed and revealed an army of roughly five hundred people. With them were three large serpents with wings, each had the title of [lvl 3 sky serpent]. Upon the middle serpent, which had midnight black scales and emerald colored eyes, was a boy, he looked as if he was eleven. His hair was black, and he had blue eyes, he had a scrawny build and held a sullen look within his figure. Alex locked eyes with the boy. His [Player Window] appeared in front of Alex.

Skills: {Pride lvl 2}

Abilities:{Taming lvl 1}

 Leo minor is a smaller being than the more well known Leo, while the two may offer similar abilities they differ as the skills evolve. The skill {Pride lvl 2} boost the users courage and defensive capabilities, as it gets to higher levels it can be used on groups as well, but so long as the user is not afraid, the skill can be activated as many times as needed. Meanwhile the ability {Taming lvl 1} allows the user to tame a creature of their choosing, the higher the level of the creature the harder it will be to tame, but if you and the creature are linked on an emotional level the abillity will most likely succeed.

Alex was stunned, these abilities would make Elliot a tough opponent. Both generals spoke to their armies.

Elliot called out

“Charge!”

Alex addressed Molly, who was still by his side.

“Show them what you can do”

Mollie nodded. And she withdrew her weapon.

Name: Lunar Eclipse Staff

Abilities: {Celestial Conjuring lvl 1}, {Lunar Embrace lvl 1}, {Twighlight Manipulation lvl 1}

Special: During a lunar eclipse all of the staffs abilities are pushed to their max level

Mollie began casting from her staff. She activated {Celestial Conjuring lvl 1}, the ability draws energy from dark areas in order to summon celestial creatures. At level one she can summon up to five humanoid creatures.

The world began to swirl and twist, the shadows pulled away from the walls and danced across the floor. They rose and took on the shape of a tall and skinny man. Then the swirling stopped, in the middle of the room now stood five tall shadowy men. Elliots forces stopped their advancement.

Elliot grew furious and shouted out to his army

"They are only illusions, no one could summon and control beasts like that"

Elliot’s forces resumed their charge with renewed spirits, the five shadowy figures responded by charging into the horde of people. They ran and swiped at anyone they came across, each strike connected with one of the enemies. It left a black mark across their skins as they crumbled to the ground in agony. Elliot’s forces tried to strike the shadowy figures but the weapons passed through leaving them unharmed. After the first thirty minutes of the fight Elliot’s forces now only had two-hundred and fifty soldiers, meanwhile Alex’s forces were still at fifty. But by this time Molly was beging to run out of mana and the shadowy figures began to fade.

Alex called out

“We’ve weakened them now’s the time to strike”

Alex’s soldiers charged leaving only Molly, Matthew and Alex out side of the fight. Alex drew his weapon he recieved from the dungeon.

Name: Soulreaver Scythe

Abilities: {Nightmare sever lvl 1}, {Dread Harvest lvl 1}, {Warden’s Barrier(Passive) lvl 1}

Special: when in the presence of a fearsome nightmare or being of pure darkness, the Soulreaver Scythe resonates with a dormant power. Gaining increased damage, and a unique special attack powered by the nightmares previously faced with the Soulreaver Scythe.

Matthew also drew his weapon

Name: Demonicbone Blade

Abilities: {Cursedbone Strike lvl 1}, {Nightfall Aura(Passive) lvl 1}, {Vengeance’s Embrace lvl 1}

Special: Upon striking nightmares or creatures imbued with dark energies, the Demonicbone Blade has a chance to inflict additional damage, bypassing resistances and striking directly at the darkest core of its opponent. The effect can be amplified with each successful consecutive hit, making it more devastating as the battle rages on.

The two prepared to guard Molly as she regained her mana, and Alex’s forces were dealing heavy blows to Elliot’s numbers. Victory was near, and they could make it with few casualties on their side. But as his army crept towards Elliot, he spoke to the serpent he was riding.

"End this, magnify their deepest fears and take control."

The serpent in response opened its large mouth and black smoke began to spill out and swirl around the battlefield. The smoke began to consume Alex’s army, as each member was swallowed in the smoke they collapsed to the floor still as a corpse. Alex could only watch as his two companions from station fourteen, fell to the floor. The smoke crept towards Alex, Molly, and Matthew. Alex and Matthew’s weapons began to glow as {Nightfall Aura(Passive) lvl 1} and {Warden’s Barrier(Passive) lvl1} took effect. The smoke passed by Matthew and Alex in a bubble like shape, however the smoke consumed Molly and she fell to the floor.

Alex cried out.

The smoke cleared and Elliot now stood on the ground in front of Matthew and Alex. Matthew charged forward while Alex could only stare at Molly’s body on the ground. As the smoke slowly lifted.

“Agh!” Matthew wailed

Alex spun around to see Ellis plunging his knife into Matthews side, and Aliza was holding his arms to his side. Ellis continued to remove and replunge his knife into Matthew over and over until, his eyes went dark and he fell limp. Aliza dropped him and Matthew lay silent and still on the ground. Alex was about to scream when he felt someone kick his back. He fell to the ground. He rolled over and the sight that awaited him was Molly’s cold and unfeeling glare. Anger swelled within him as he jumped to his feet, he activated his skill {Insight lvl 1}. The messages began to pour in, as he prepared to face off against his previous allies. Molly raised her staff.

{Super Nova}

A light appeared at the top of the staff, it flew towards Alex but he dodged to the left. Before he could counter attack two more notifications appeared.

Alex rolled forward as Ellis and Aliza charged him from behind. Alex swung his scythe towards the pair but they dodge and continued their assault.

Three notifications appeared as the three began their attacks. Alex tried his best to dodge but could only manage to evade Ellis as he stabbed forward, Molly struck Alex on the head causing him to crumble to the floor. Aliza charged him and kicked him full force, Alex dropped his weapon as he slid across the ground into the wall.

The notifications kept pouring in as Alex felt his life slowly slipping away, he reached for his weapon but could only grasp air. The trio continued to assault Alex, then suddenly they stopped. Alex tried to stand but his strength failed him. He fell back to the ground with each attempt, he looked up praying for a familiar face to come save him. But he was only greeted with the sight of Elliot walking towards him.

Elliot spoke with an ear to ear grin

"Now you've suffered just as much as I have. I never should have lost my family, but now I get to take everyone else's.”

Elliot plunged his sword into Alex's back. Alex felt his mind begin to fade, as he felt the blood war on his back pool beneath him. Before long Alex had died. Darkness consumed his vision and within the darkness he heard the voice of a familiar young girl.

"Alex, please wake up. I need you, so please wake up"
