Alex kept glancing back as he operated the Prexa to the best of his abilities to run away. He was well aware that the generals were following him. After Miracle could sense them approaching as soon as he tried to sense them.

‘They’ll catch up at this rate Alex…’ Miracle said warning him.

‘Then I suppose I have no choice but to fight?’

‘Yes… at your current state, I can influx enough power in your body to go toe to toe with these troublesome insects but if your body fails you in between because of the curse, I won’t be able to do anything to guard you. You’ll be completely vulnerable!’ Mircale explained.

He then continued, ‘Instead, you can try to run far away from them and shake them off your tail but once, my influx of power vanishes you might still fall unconscious, completely vulnerable.’

‘Either way my options seems quite bad.’ Alex replied.

‘Then, in that case, fight, fight and kill them. No one left to chase you, that’ll be the optimal solution.’ Miracle advised.

Alex suddenly began to feel it. Feel the enormous strength he had barely sensed during his first encounter with Miracle. It was as if, that strength was calling to him, telling him to wield it.

Alex chuckled inwardly. ‘Kill them… that’s very much like you.’ He thought to himself as his prexa came to a halt.

As he raised his head, Alex found himself surrounded by four generals.

“Last chance to surrender kid, I don’t want this to be unnecessarily painful.” Renardo said as he raised his right hand towards him.

To Renardo and the other generals surprise, the next moment a black sword appeared in Alex’s hand which clearly stated his hostile stance.

“So, you’re going to force my hand huh?” Renardo said to himself as the next moment the ground beneath Alex’s prexa became muddy as the next moment ropes of mud shot out of it.

Alex quickly jumped up in the air, away from the prexa. The muddy ropes acting like whiplash broke through the Prexa like a toy and charged towards Alex to contain him.

However, just before they could touch him their movements became erratic and in the blink of an eye, they were absorbed by the soul stone.

Everyone was shaken by this scene. Following the next moment, they all became extremely cautious. Alex was actively using a legendary treasure. Although their battle experience was well beyond that of a year old, they were still wary lest they wanted to end up like Captain Gale.

‘I see… but even if he is able to use it, a person with no mana like him shouldn’t be able to bring out its full strength.’ Renardo thought to himself before he signaled the other generals to continued attacking.

Everyone, present had the same thought process as that of Renardo and soon the mana in Alex’s surrounding began to go wild as various attacks ranging from an elemental attack to pure mana type attacks stormed on him. But none of them managed to reach him as they were sucked in the soul stone. It seemed Alex was untouchable, however, that was simply a misconception.

*Boom*

One of the flaming attacks managed to get past the soul stone as it was already absorbing some other attacks. Alex hadn’t let his guard down and blocked the attack with his sword only to be thrown several meters away.

‘Shit! At this rate I will definitely get killed.’ Alex thought to himself as his mind wondered back to Miracle’s words. Alex’s mind pondered on those words for a while. He knew he had to make a decision soon. The generals were getting ready for another barrage of continuous attacks. He knew that the soul stone had limitations in his hands. This time he won’t get away with just being thrown a few meters away.

With haste Alex began to call forth Miracle’s power but alas, his body wasn’t on his side as he began to feel immense pain coursing throughout his body making him unable to move while the generals had already launched their attacks.

The volley of magic attacks rained down but just before they could devour him, a glimpse of a somewhat large shadow in front of him before he began to lose consciousness.

A large dome shaped barrier had suddenly appeared out of nowhere blocking all the attacks without a problem. First came surprise at the sudden appearance of the barrier followed by the creature responsible for it.

As the dust cleared from their attacks, they could see a huge creature with wings having a small horn on its forehead and a long hairy tail. The creature had an oval face which made it look funny in addition to its body size. It was covered in dust and mud all over.

Without waiting for the generals to make a move the creature raised its small horn in the air as much as it can and shot a blue and white beam, which got transformed into a sphere floating in the air, following which it split four ways and was aimed at the four generals.

The generals sensing danger immediately activated their magic spells to defend against it. Given the attack’s speed they had no option but to block it. It took them no longer than the five seconds to block and nullify them but when they focused back to Alex and the creature’s direction they were already gone. They weren’t even able to sense the creature’s mana anymore.
