As the controversy heats up, the film ends its theatrical run, with most theatres withdrawing it due to the fear of further losses. Tarun is disappointed, and while he finds the support of many renowned filmmakers, he takes to social media and addresses the attackers openly by telling them he is not afraid of them and would make more sequels because he is on a "mission" and they can't stop him now. He doesn't care about the identity of those who spread hatred towards his film, but promises to destroy them if they ever plan on repeating this. Tarun begins working on the new sequel and is joined by his girlfriend Aditi, an actress who works in indie films.
On the other hand, Ankit opts for a remake this time but decides only to adapt only a few elements while adding his own original story elements. The film opens big but flops even badly due to its poor camerawork and adaptation. Critics and audiences pan the film, noting it could've worked had the director stuck to remaking the original film instead of adding his own originality to it. This baffles Ankit and takes a toll on his mental health. His wife and kids begin to worry about him. One day, Tarun invites him to the construction site again and this time, offers Ankit a role in the sequel as an assistant director, since he feels indebted to him for launching him in the film industry. However, Ankit reveals he plans on quitting the film industry and using his remaining wealth to start another venture where he can also spend more time with his family. Further, he tells Tarun that if he feels indebted and truly wants to repay him, he must reveal "the secret" the world has been after ever since the first film came out. Tarun agrees this time without asking for anything in return.
He reveals the original content he added to the hybrid remake was not his own but also lifted from another film nobody has ever heard of.
