The Royal Library is the biggest in the northern empire where only nobles can go but students of the academy could enter using the student pass. Every time I used to go people would stare at me and show a feeling of disgust. So I started going at night when there are fewer people. I covered my face before going inside. I handed my student card to the guard. Royal Library never fails to astonish me it has books of all genres. I went to the history section where I was searching for books on the great war between the south and the North. The war between two empires is a very common story but I was searching for details about the great war hero the Duke of the Empire 'Arthur scheward'. In this continent the south was famous for advancement in magic, they had archmages and the North had advanced war weapons the late King of the North and the southern King decided to create weapons imposed with magic but then the Grand Duke of the West started a rebellion, and brutally murdered the entire Royal family of the west taking control over the affairs. The present King who was the former grand Duke 'Sabine Monal' is a tyrant who kills anyone who opposes his decision. High taxes, corruption, drugs export, and smuggling are very common in the empire. The majority of the commoners migrated to other countries a large number of migrants sought refuge in the North. The empire welcomed them. The problem aroused with the termination of the contract and the disappearance of the crown prince. When the King threatened the south with war who knew that the south would begin the war themselves? The only reason how North won was that the Duke of the south decided to leave the south and come to the North. The Duke also known as the war hero is the person who can blend his magic into a sword aura and they say the aura surrounding him makes the other person creep out, same is the case with his son who is known as the 'ice prince'. Anyways this gotta do nothing with me let's just focus on writing the thesis on the war its impacts and the role of the Duke. I picked up the books and went out of the library. The sun had already set and there was an air of silence. As I moved forward I felt as if someone was following me, I started running out of fear when the man ran towards me and pointed a dagger toward me "Why are you doing this ?" I asked "Some stupid lady gave us a hell lot of money just to make you disappear" he replied with a smirk. Suddenly the morning incident flashed in my mind. I was so afraid when unexpectedly a tear dropped from my eye on the floor a sudden gust of wind flew and when I opened my eyes the time had stopped. Before me stood a still man who looked like a statue. I was shocked but more than anything I ran away. It felt as if there was no end to the endless running. I ran inside my house locked the door and went inside my room where I fell down due to exhaustion hearing the door my mom came in "Dear are you home?". Normally I would reply with a sweet voice but I was so scared that I couldn't reply. My mom entered the room when I didn't reply. She ran towards me seeing me laying on the floor half conscious the last word I heard was my mom shouting my name "Avaline!!". I lost consciousness while looking at the blurry image of my mom.
