Cordelia grits her teeth and starts moving without thinking.
For the first time, she forgets about all of her fears.
And that freedom feels better than she would have ever imagined.
Cordelia feels liberated as she jumps forward, blocking Razran’s murderous attack with a wave of her arm.
And everyone gets pushed away when she finally uses the full strength of her magic.
Cordelia demonstrates such power that Razran doesn’t even try to fight back.
The witch feels conviction, bravery, and confidence as the fairy-beast man takes a step back.
He’s just as shocked as everyone else.
“You little...”
But Razran’s shock doesn’t last long.
He almost launches another attack while the others are still frozen.
However, even the tall guy falters when another figure appears beside Cordelia.
Selene joins the picture with her own glare and fighting position. And that changes things drastically.
Then the fairy-beast mix is even more troubled when Camelia appears. The blonde girl clings to Cordelia at first... then she crouches down to check on the injured witch.
“Tsk... I should have expected you to interfere, Selene... But you are a surprise, Cordelia. You have been one of the well-behaved witches until now...”
“But it seems you have been hiding your true magical power.”
“It proves perfectly that we shouldn’t trust any of you!” Razran spits out, making Cordelia shudder.
“What? Should we watch silently while you murder someone? Then we would really be monsters...”
Selene has the guts to talk back, even in this situation.
Meanwhile, Cordelia hesitates when the crowd starts to scatter.
Realization hits her that she has probably started a serious fight.
However, even Camelia steps beside her, grabbing her hand with a fierce expression.
“That witch is seriously injured... I don’t think they simply detained her. They really want her to die...” When Camelia also shows courage, Cordelia’s bravery slowly returns.
She looks at the other people with an accusing gaze, and even the peaceful ones cower.
And it’s not only fear... Some of them know Camelia is right... some of them have guilt in their eyes...
