They arrived in the middle of an expansive hall made of metal with a hallway leading to the commander’s room, another hallway leading to the hangar, and other hallways. As soon as Nolan walked out of the elevator, several crews were already waiting for him and walked up to him. They all walked together at a quick pace toward the hangar as they talked to each other. Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“How is the situation?”
A male humanoid race belonging to the Swordman’s space pirate crews walked beside Nolan, replied. He had maroon skin with horns on his head and wore an overcoat uniform covered with armor pieces on the torso, knees, elbows, and the front part of the lower legs.
“There have been no fatalities yet, but the damage continues to expand.”
Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“Has the cause of Dzyranth and Titan attacking at the same time been found?”
The crew appeared somewhat doubtful.
“No, but we predicted that they’re in a state of attacking each other before and might have coincidentally met near our fleets.”
Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“Ready all battlecarrier starships and fighter starplanes to attack formations.”
The crews nodded.
“Understood, captain.”
They arrived before the metal double door leading to the hangar that automatically slid open in opposite directions to each other as Nolan and the others approached it.
After passing through the door, they arrived at a vast hangar crowded with countless crews from various humanoid races, helping each other to prepare the numerous fighter starplanes parked here. Many fighter starplanes began to hover up vertically and then flew out of this battlecarrier starship’s hangar through the huge metal sliding double doors exit that slid open in opposite directions to each other as the starplanes flew through it. Nolan and the others arrived at one of the personnel carrier fighter starplanes that resembled an armored flying wing, with two maroon-skinned crew members wearing overcoat uniforms.
“Welcome, Captain; please come in.”
They all entered the plane through the wide staircase bridge at the rear of the plane, which then lifted and closed again to become the rear door of the plane.
The two crew members immediately sat in the pilot’s seat, and the others stood behind them, holding on to the handrails around them and on the ceiling. The pilots started the starplane's engine and operated the control dashboard in front of them, preparing it to fly. Their starplane took off vertically, then flew through the hangar exit door.
Outside the battlecarrier starship, their starplane flew in the opposite direction from this fleet toward the back, past many battlecarrier starships around them, along with dozens of fighter starplanes that flew in the same direction as them. Nolan observed the radar displayed on the small monitor installed on the right arm of his seat with a metal support as he established a voice communication connection on the other monitors that were installed on the left arm of his seat.
“Scout team, please report.”
Soon, a male voice sounded on their plane's communication device.
“This is the scout one leader. We just arrived and saw….”
The voice of the scout team leader fell silent for some reason, then spoke again in a shocked tone.
“What’s that? Monsters? Please be careful, captain. The enemy is using unusual weapons.”
Nolan and the others’ expressions on the plane turned astonished.
“Can you describe how unusual the weapon you mean in more detail?”
The scout pilot answered.
“Those monsters... I mean, that weapon looks like... wait a minute, it moves very fast too....”
The voice communication was suddenly cut off, leaving only static noise. Nolan was surprised.
“Scout team, can you hear me? Please respond.”
Nolan repeated his question a few times, but there was still no reply. Rothur and the others' expressions turned astonished.
“How strange, monsters he says? What does he mean?”
Nolan’s expression turned serious, and he appeared to realize something.
“There’s only one way to find out.”
Nolan turned to the pilot controlling the starplane before him.
“Pilots, please be alert. Our enemies might be very dangerous.”
One of the pilots replied.
“Understood, captain.”
The pilots flew their starplane with more vigilance.
Sometime later, they arrived at their destination, battlecarrier starship number 54, located at the outer position of this fleet. This battlecarrier had a shape resembling a massive armored flying wing fighter jet and an overall size similar to Nolan’s main battlecarrier. At the top of the right side of this battlecarrier was destroyed, countless various sizes of shattered fragments from the fuselage and armor floating around the damaged part of the battlecarrier, still affected by the artificial gravity leaking out of the damaged part. Nolan looked around and found no enemy presence. Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“Battlecarrier 54, can you hear me?”
From Nolan’s plane’s communication device, a woman’s voice was heard, who was one of the battlecarrier starship number 54’s crew.
“Very clear, captain.”
Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“How was the damage to your ship?”
Battlecarrier 54’s crew answered.
“The damage is still not that bad, captain. But we lost the visual on the enemies.”
Everyone on Nolan’s starplane was surprised. Nolan appeared to realize something.
“Can you describe what the enemies look likes?”
Battlecarrier 54’s crew answered.
“One of the enemies is confirmed as a Titan Gear, while another one is unknown.”
Nolan was shocked, while the others watched him curiously.
Nolan sat in the commander’s seat in the center of the cockpit and pressed several buttons on the arms of his seat; a translucent monitor moved from the lower right of the seat and moved to the front of Nolan. Nolan operated the tablet computer before him and set a voice communication channel connected to all battlecarrier starships’ control rooms in the Lantern Alliance fleet.
“To the entire fleet, anyone who sees enemies’ visuals, please report immediately.”
Shortly after, a female voice was heard on the communication line.
“This is battlecarrier number 61; we have visuals on the enemies, they are….”
Soon, an explosive sound was heard on the communication line, which surprised Nolan, Rothur, Arlen, Grimor, the man in the cloak, and the pilots. A male voice sounded on the communication line.
“The enemies rammed our battlecarrier, requesting assistance, back up, and permission to attack.”
Shortly after, the sound of laser canons being fired surprised everyone in Nolan’s starplane. Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“Hold on, we’ll be right there.”
Nolan’s starplane’s two pilots flew their plane toward battlecarrier number 61. Grimor was surprised.
“What is Titan Gear? You know something about that, Nolan?”
Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“I think you’ve already heard the story of why the Titan alliance can be called Titan.”
Grimor and the others were taken aback. Grimor’s expression turned serious.
“Yes, it’s said that their great power is mainly in their Titan form.”
Nolan nodded.
“Right, the word Titan isn’t just a term for Titan race. They are the real monsters….”
Nolan got up from his seat and headed to a metal storage cupboard on one side of the passenger cabin and opened it. Inside it was something in the shape of a thick medallion with a diameter that a hand could grip. Nolan threw these medallion-like objects one by one to his two pilots, Arlen, Grimor, Rothur, and the cloaked man, who caught them deftly. Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“This object is called space coating, a portable device for entire body coating as an anti-relativity and life support device that can detect surfaces so that we can walk on any surface like it has gravity. This coating is very flexible and will not tear, so you can penetrate it anytime and still protect your entire body. This coating can also distribute oxygen for several hours and protect the user’s body from extreme cold and heat. Be prepared if you need it.”
Arlen was amazed as he looked at the medallion-like device in his hand.
“You can have very expensive equipment like this in every starplane in your fleet?”
Nolan’s expression turned astonished.
“Of course, you guys don’t always have them?”
The others looked astonishedly at each other.
Shortly after, their starplane arrived at battlecarrier starship number 61, a massive starship with a long body and wide and broad wings on the front part of the body so that the shape of this battlecarrier resembled a bowgun. This starship tilted and shot at a gigantic grayish-black creature that held on to the upper left part of the starship’s body, using its right hand.
Hunter Titan Gear, a gigantic body form of the Hunter Titan race.
Titan Gear, a grayish-black moving weapon resembling a gigantic male humanoid being as tall as a 328-foot-high skyscraper (100 meters), punched some of the starship's surface weapons, such as the armored laser cannons, armored rotary cannons, and armored energy missile launchers with a size equal to three story building and shattered them. Compared to the size of this gigantic creature, this battlecarrier was still 500 times larger, with a starship’s height of 984 feet (300 meters).
The Titan Gear had a body resembling a humanoid male knight's armor, with sturdy carvings all over his body, consisting of many armor pieces assembled and connected together with sturdy metal joints. Additional sturdy carved armor resembling a knee-length overcoat made from the same material as the Titan Gear’s body, covered the armor on his body. This overcoat armor was made of many armor pieces connected together so that it could move flexibly, following the Titan Gear’s movements.
