Everyone in this starplane appeared clueless. Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“I heard that Dzyranth conducted some kind of experiments and researches while expanding their fleet operations and territory because they were also looking for something in the universe. That gigantic creature might have something to do with what Dzyranth did.”
Shortly after, their starplane suddenly stopped, which surprised them. Their starplane experienced problems that caused it to hardly move from its place, confusing the pilots. Nolan’s expression turned astonished.
“What happened?”
One of the pilots appeared to realize something.
“Something wrong, captain. There is a strong repulsive gravitational force around battlecarrier number 65, so we can’t get close to it.”
Everyone inside this starplane was surprised. Nolan appeared to have realized something; he sat in his commander’s seat behind the pilots in the center of the cockpit, operated the tablet computer installed there, and scanned the situation outside. Nolan was shocked when he discovered that the gravitational force was centered on the Ancient Race.
“What weapon is that? the gravitational force was centered on that monsters fighting the Titan Gear.”
Rothur and the others turned to Nolan and were surprised.
“How can it control such a powerful gravitational force?”
Nolan rechecked the tablet computer in his seat, and he appeared not to expect that.
“I want to know either….”
Outside their starplane, the powerful gravitational force caused the other battlecarriers around battlecarrier number 65 to sway and move away from it.
The barrage of laser fire from battlecarrier starships’ and fighter starplanes' laser weapons, such as cannons, energy missiles, etc, that fired at the two gigantic creatures stopped, then exploded because they couldn’t get through the gravitational force that formed a kind of protective barrier that enveloped the Ancient Race and the area around him. The fighter starplanes were suddenly stopping in their place, one after another, and were unable to get closer to the Ancient Race due to his powerful gravitational repulsion power. The pilots of these fighter starplanes turned their starplanes around and flew away in other directions.
Inside their starplane, Nolan operated his tablet computer, installed in his commander's seat, which displayed an image of the Ancient Race’s gravitational force on a color scale from light yellow to dark red, indicating the area affected by the gravitational forces from weak to strong. Nolan appeared to notice something.
“There’s a weak part of that humanoid weapon gravitational force; we’re flying to that part.”
One of the pilots replied.
“Understood, captain.”
The two pilots turned this starplane and flew toward the intended location. As their starplane flew toward the location given by Nolan, they saw the two gigantic creatures fighting through the starplane's windows.
The Ancient Race knelt on the battlecarrier number 65 surface, then walked as he crouched toward the Titan Gear, destroying dozens of heavy surface weapons on his path. The Titan Gear was about to move away to keep their distance, but the Ancient Race stretched his left hand forward and used his gravitational power toward the Titan Gear so that he couldn’t move away and was pulled back toward the Ancient Race.
Titan Gear used additional armor in the form of claws on his knight armor-like legs and feet, which claw hard at the battlecarrier surface to stop his body from being dragged. However, the Titan Gear’s movement only slowed down and didn’t stop his body from being pulled and dragged toward the Ancient Race.
After the Titan Gear was quite close to him, the Ancient Race ran toward the Titan Gear with a hard starting stomp, destroyed a bit of the battlecarrier's surface, and managed to approach the Titan Gear. After Titan Gear entered the Ancient Race’s attack range, the Ancient Race punched Titan Gear in the face with his gravitational power-imbued fist and cracked the Titan Gear’s face slightly, causing sparks and a shockwave, indicating that the strength of the Titan Gear’s armor-shaped body was becoming increasingly fragile because he continuously received the Ancient Race’s attacks.
Titan Gear drew the long sword behind his starplane-like six wings, then slashed it toward the Ancient Race. Ancient Race caught the sword with his right-hand grip, then hit it with his left hand and broke it in half. The half-broken part of the sword was then used by the Ancient Races to attack; he stabbed it into the Titan Gear's left stomach with a powerful thrust. The sword stuck on the Titan Gear’s left stomach, but did not penetrate too deeply because of the Titan Gear’s knight armor-like body’s sturdy hardness. Titan Gear kicked the Ancient Race in the stomach with his knee, and the Ancient Race bent over. The Titan Gear was quite close to the Ancient Race, and used this opportunity to attack with his shorter broken sword that could only reach a short distance.
Titan Gear slashed his broken sword at the Ancient Race’s neck. The broken sword almost hit the Ancient Race’s neck, but the slashing movement of the Titan Gear’s sword suddenly stopped because the Ancient Race focused all his gravitational power on the sword. The Ancient Race got up and punched the broken sword, stuck not too deeply in Titan Gear’s left stomach. The sword then stuck deeper and penetrated Titan Gear’s lower back. The Titan Gear moved backward to keep his distance and evaded, stopping his movement with his claw armors on his armored feet, scratching and shattering the battlecarrier's surface, and destroying the heavy laser weapons that hit his legs.
The Titan Gear kneeled, holding on to the battlecarrier with his right hand-like armor grip on the battlecarrier's surface, cracking the gripped part. The Titan Gear put his broken sword back to the starplane-like six wings on his back and pulled the broken sword on his left stomach until it came out completely, leaving a stab hole on his left stomach; however, it didn’t cause any further damage, and he could still move normally.
The starplane that Nolan and the others were on arrived at the front of battlecarrier number 65 and was almost unaffected by the repelling gravitational force. Their starplane flew closer to the battlecarrier; the gravitational force was weaker around this area, and their starplane finally managed to fly close to the two gigantic humanoid creatures. Nolan installed an anti-relativity device on his chest; something resembling clear reddish water began to come out of this thick circular medallion-like device and covered Nolan’s entire body. The coating faded and disappeared, merging with Nolan’s body. Nolan turned to the others.
“You guys better be prepared and use that space-coating device.”
Arlen, Rothur, Grimor, the cloaked man, and the two pilots nodded. They attached the devices to their chests, and a coating resembling whitish red water covered their bodies, then faded and disappeared. This device was very flexible and could be used in many circumstances; the two pilots didn’t even need to get up from their seats to use it.
Arlen was surprised as he looked toward the two gigantic humanoid creatures on the outside view of their starplane's windshield.
“Why doesn’t that Titan just leave?”
Nolan’s expression turned doubtful.
“It seems that because of that unknown gigantic creature’s gravitational power, he focused his main energy on the Titan so that he couldn’t escape. That unknown creature might plan to defeat the Titan on the battlecarrier number 65 surface, no matter what.”
Grimor appeared to realize something.
“Does that battlecarrier starship have a city inside it?”
Nolan’s expression turned serious.
“Unfortunately, yes. Evacuations are underway now. My crews had been trying to contact the Dzyranth and Titan fleets to inform them about this but failed.”
Arlen’s expression turned curious.
“Why we should contact them? doesn’t those humanoid weapons come from them?”
Nolan’s expression turned doubtful.
“Yes, but in any case, they are still parties who will not ignore the side of justice and will prevent civilian casualties.”
Grimor’s expression turned astonished.
“Then, where are they now to stop this?”
Nolan’s expression turned doubtful.
“I don't know either, that Titan Gear should have a Titan controlling it inside, but it also doesn't respond to our communication line, most likely because it only controlled automatically. Somehow, those two living weapons had wandered so far away from Dzyranth and Titan that they were out of their communication and control range....”
The others’ expressions turned confused.
Ark city-065, located inside battlecarrier starship number 65 of the Lantern space pirate alliance fleet.
Inside the starship, the citizens of Ark city-065 fled toward the sliding metal doors leading to the hangar, guided by the starship’s crews who wore their armor with overcoat uniforms. Shortly after, a strong quake shocked the citizens who walked regularly, causing them to stop in their tracks. Some of them tried to stay standing while maintaining their balance, either together or alone, and some others fell to their knees. The crews looked at the city ceiling, which began to crack slightly, and were surprised. One of the crews looked around as he spoke in a raised voice.
“Who knows how long this starship can last. Everyone, please hasten your steps.”
The citizens resumed walking with accelerated steps toward the hangar.
