I couldn't see anything but I could hear the faint voices of people in panic. I slightly opened my eyes and saw a boy sitting beside my bed. "Are you finally awake?" he said in a cold voice a voice without emotions as if there is stone statue standing in front of me. I tried to speak but I couldn't no voice came out to be correct I didn't had the energy to speak. "Don't speak its a side effect of using magic. ofcouse it happened because you are as weak as a  baby sparrow". He was such a meanie was what I thought unknowing what the future holds for me. "What are you going to do now ? Aren't you tired of this life brother.?" said an unfamiliar voice. " It's better than those complicated politics. At least there are no fake faces.". replied another man. I instantly recognised that voice it was my father. the door opened and my father came in along with that man. I looked at my father he looked happy. "So is she my niece?" asked the man. I looked shock and glanced at my father demanding an explanation. "I will head back now, your highness ". said the boy as he left the room. I looked too shocked when I looked at the man he had an affectionate look on his face as if he found treasure no something more than a treasure something he had been longing for. "It's true Ava this is your uncle and my half brother 'Julius Enith' the only king of the empire. Long story short I used to be the prince of the empire tired from politics and after facing several life and death situations I ran away and that's when I found your mother 'Princess liana embroth' the only princess of the south. Since we both ran away from our kingdoms we decided to live together and in a short time we got married. I know life as a commoner has been hard for you. I am sorry for making you go through all this." said my father in a dejected tone. He bent his head near me to apologise but I hugged him " Father I don't care whether its palace or a small cottage all I want is my family you and mom. " I said as I hugged him tightly. I looked at the King who stood in front of me smiling warmly as if all the rumours I heard about the cold, icy, tyranical and merciless King were nothing but fake because his smile was warm as sunshine. "So now I suddenly have an uncle who is none other than the king? " I asked. "Yeap" replied the King who had a glimmer in his eyes as if he found something that brought him out of the dark I really couldn't understand why was he so full of energy its rude to say but he looked like a cute puppy. "umm... so avaline can I also call you Ava and u can call me uncle." he said hesitating I looked at my father and he shocked his head so I smiled and said " Why not uncle! welcome to my family." He smiled looking at me with eyes full of affection and love. looking into his eyes I realised that the treasure he found was far more precious than anything, what the king found was family that offers unconditional love.  "But uncle the way I see it all the rumours sbout you are fake" I asked curiously "Oh dear don't pay much attention to some lame rumours they are not even worth attention and are spread to tarnish ones reputation." he replied but i had a bad feeling about this. "Grumbleeee" my stomach made a voice. Right then my mother came in "Dear is Ava awake" she asked ad she entered the room. I could smell the soup my mom always makes me when I am sick. my mom treated me as a little child and spoon fed all the soup eventhough I objected. After eating food I said I wanted to rest so everyone left the room.  I took a deep breath in and picked up the pillow next to me and started punching it to release all the pent up frustration ofcourse its normal how do they want me to believe that I became a princess suddenly.
