Walking through the distant forests of Avon, Felix held Bernard carefully in his arms. He gazed around incredibly intently, for according to the locals, these woods were said to harbor monsters, which filled Felix with fear. Yet, despite his apprehension, he continued to clutch an old sword ready in his right hand, while with his left, he held Bernard close to his chest.
"There should be wet nurses in Solène; there was a massive fortress there," he paused and looked at the baby, adjusting his fur.
"Yes," Felix replied, his eyes on the dwindling pouch of coins. A strange feeling welled up in his chest, as if he had started to worry all over again. Even though it wasn't the first time he had attempted to leave the baby in the care of a wet nurse, something held him back.
"Perhaps, Bernard, we might part ways there? My funds are running low, and I believe you won't mind, considering we've only known each other for a couple of months! Ha-ha-ha!" With contemplation, he continued further into the depths of the forest.
