In the corner of the tavern, a man sat, uninterested in drinking. He simply spent his days in boredom within the castle walls. Long ago, he had battled with all the mighty knights in Solene and had been yearning for adventure, which had been taken from him by those higher up. Sips of wine melted the scene at the entrance as one of the ordinary knights attacked a man named Felix without any apparent reason. In response, Felix fought back with swift and precise strikes. The man in the corner, named Sven, immediately recognized that the technique of these strikes bore some resemblance to the imperial art of destruction but had been somehow modified for precise blows. He had encountered the true technique of destruction numerous times during the Imperial March and could clearly see something similar in Felix's strikes.
When he witnessed his knight falling in less than three seconds, Sven yearned for a battle. Memories flooded back, recalling moments in his life where his comrades' remains were scattered everywhere, and Sven, clinging to his last bit of strength, continued to fight. The thirst for killing in that moment was directed towards Felix. The difference between Felix's fourth rank and Sven's sixth rank was substantial enough for Felix to feel the full weight, power, and grandeur of Sven's mana.
Sven was taken aback. The moment Felix's eyes found the source, although it was difficult due to the fact that it was not just a desire to kill but a controlled phenomenon usually referred to as the "bloody aura," which pressed upon a person and disoriented them. However, mana control had to be incredibly precise to use it from a distance of more than ten meters. When Sven saw Felix's eyes, he immediately ceased. Felix saw a warrior equal to himself, one who could even, under pressure, cast a menacing gaze upon Sven and display a genuine thirst for killing and combat. There was no need for Sven to make a scene and initiate a fight, especially since he saw a child, and he did not favor unnecessary violence without cause. Felix, without much thought, began to walk towards Sven, who clearly invited him closer. Some onlookers gazed in astonishment at Felix, who, with a heaving breath, strode directly towards Sven – an honored knight of the Order of the Great Wings, a knight of the sixth rank, and a monster of Solene.
